Received a call at work from this number from a man named Christopher Randall saying that he was with the US Customs and that he had my file in front of him and see's that I have been getting alot of emails and phone calls from online pharmacies.  I had this same thing happen about 6 months ago and wasn't falling for it this time.  I am calling the dea office in Louisiana to report this again, although i'm sure it will continue to happen to people.  Don't send money to people calling with threats from this number it is definitely a scam!!!

Today got a messaage from "David Ward" DEA, called from 202-241-5547.  Funny thing is I got a message 2 days ago from the some guy, different name " Special Agent John Reily" using 309-200-1838.  I wish the REAL law enforcement would hurry up and get these guys!  How much longer will they let these fools run their scams???    It's not even a good scam, when I called them back, it was the voice mail of some guy trying to sound like a female.  It sounded SO fake.  I said, "Go ahead and make your calls because each one you make is another charge, a longer sentance, and one step closer to jail.  I want to to wonder, Will today be the day I go to jail?  And when you're there, bitting your lower lip, fighting back the tears because you have another d@#K in your torn, bleeding a$@#&#*, I want you to think of me and know that I was the one to help put you there!

I recieved a call from "David Ward" today.  He had the gall to talk to me for 30 minutes and he just left another message right now.  Said he spoke with the prosecuting attorney and they are willing to plee so I only have to pay $1500 in three $500 Greendot Moneypak cards.  Shouldn't we report him for this?  Immitating a federal agent has to be some sort of really bad crime.

Called this number back today.  Initially the man answered the phone (I had blocked my number) but when he realized that I was the one he talked to two days ago and called him a scumbag scammer, he hung up.  Because I was bored, I set my phone on re-dial and continued to re-call this number each time it went to voicemail, about 20 minutes and 80-100 calls later.  He finally realized that I wasn't going to give up and answered.  This time we had about a 30 minute conversation about his "line of work".  He says that he's like a modern-day Robin Hood, taking from the rich to give to "poor children".  (Probably his baby-mama's kids).  He doesn't like to scam the elderly as he would feel bad about this.  He liked to think that he "got me" until my husband figured it out.  I told him that he, indeed, had me going about the arrest warrant in my name as I had bought on-line meds 12 years ago but I was wondering about the statute of limitations from that long ago.  I told him it wasn't until about 15 minutes into his rant that I realized it was a scam....and the final straw was when they told me that I needed to send $2500.00 on a GreenDot MoneyPak.  Told him I knew nothing about money packs and I couldn't figure out how they were going to get to collect the money.  He said that they then would have asked me to give him the numbers off the back of the cards and then, poof, the money would be his.  I told him that he needed to come up with a better solution to fleece people from their hard earned money as in "this country" (he had a Philladelphia accent) as not many people would believe that a warrant for their arrest could be lifted by sending cold hard cash to someone over the phone.  I said that maybe in Mexico that would work....you know, like if you get into a little fender-bender and you just take out your wallet and "fix the situation" right there and then.  Anyway, I don't think my conversation with him will deter him from continuing with these scams and go get a real job but at least it entertained me for awhile this morning.  In case anyone has a few hours to spare and has "re-dial" on their phone, the number he's still using is 202-241-5547.

Call from 202-241-7955 today at work.  His name is DEA agent Christopher Jackson and his badge number is T1107.  They had "intercepted" a package of prescription drugs ordered on-line in (get this) 2002 and that there was an on-going investigation with evidence against me.  They had my address, home number, work number and he requested my cell number.  He said that he had checked my criminal record and knew that I had "never been in trouble before". If I cooperated, they would go easy on me as it was my first offense, but that I could be facing a 5 year sentence.   Very aggressive tone, told me if I hung up he had federal agents ready to arrest me within an hour.  After 20 minutes of being harassed, put on hold, and transferred to another agent "Lt. David Ward, he then started talking about going lenient on me with a "defendant waiver".  If I accepted this deal, I could save myself attorney fees, a trip to Washington DC, etc.  I just needed to go to my local Safeway supermarket or Wallmart and purchase five $500 "Green Dot Money Packs" in separate white envelopes.  I needed to go TODAY and send the money.  When I said I was working a 12 hour shift, he suggested I needed to do this on my lunch break.  I told them they were full of s*** and that scammers like them should rot in hell.  He continued with his rant as though I was really going to fall for this and I told him if I was going to be arrested within the hour, he should make sure the officers were young, buffed and cute....

Got another call from "Special Agent Michael Turner" from the DEA about my client allegedly making illegal prescription drug purchases.  Claimed to be working in concert with U.S. Customs agent named Mike Waller.  When I explained I was an attorney calling on behalf of my client and pressed for specifics, things went down hill for Special Agent Michael Turner.  He hung up.

Be aware that he also has a woman answering the phone - she claims she is working the front desk at the DEA in Washington, D.C.

I received this call again a few minutes ago. Fortunately I had had another call several months ago telling me how much money I would have to send through Western Union and since I am in a wheel chair I could make up a lie to tell my husband when he pushed me up and send him on an errand. We turned him over to a real agent who told us he was just "pulling your chain." He is now Christopher Randal with the extension #212 so any time you get a call like this check it out. You will be surprised at the number of telephone numbers and names he uses and all he is after is money. When they start using ugly language you know they are not real.

Same scenario as most other posters here.  They gave badge #'s, ward #'s, the address as 600 Army Navy DR, Washington, DC 20001.  Even had a case docket #.  They sounded convincing at first.  I kept pressing for more info and an email could not be provided - "we don't have one".  I got suspicious and told them I would call right back as the line was bad.  I called my local DEA office and explained the situation to them.  The real agents both said the DEA does not phone first.  They instructed me to call 877-792-2873.  This number has been set up to deal with this situation.  Do not give these people any info.  I had my identity stolen several years ago and it is not fun.

DEA District 97 - The name used when they called me was DAVID WARD.  I called back since he left a very urgent message on my answering machine.  The woman who answered the phone said he was busy and that I could call back in 15 minutes or David could call me back.  My 15 minutes are not up yet so thought I'd look this up on the internet since I have not done anything illegal.  Made me suspicious since on the recording he said I could "lose my DEA License"....I'm not a doctor so don't have a DEA License and never have had one.  Glad I looked this up.  Debating whether to call back and see if he asks for money....if he does then will tell him I'm reporting him.

I received a call from DEA Agent Frank Vernon Badge # TT100573 from 202-241-5547.  He had me going with his scam as I received the call while working my FEDERAL position.  Unlike most on this page, I received the gov't discount of only needing to pay $3,500.  Luckily for me and my FEDERAL background and resources to other gov't agencies, I placde a call to my POC @ US MARSHALL's office only to find ut this was a hoaxt at the same time I googled the phone number.  Heavenly Father has a SPECIAL place for these characters...and so, may they be BLESSED!

ALERT - EXTORTION SCAM - ALERT

DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators

The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.
