I just got a call from this number! It seems that a lot of people get called, they use a name as if a federal agency is calling you. What a scam. Don't know how they got my home number when it is un-listed. I guess, they just dial until they get an answering machine or a person to pick up the phone.....
Trash the call and report it.

Caller with that number has called four times on my cell phone number saying name, social security number, and other info compromised- call them as of mid December

Debt collection agency - had a call saying that my name, number and SS number had been submitted on an application that had been flagged for review in their office, and to immediately call back. I did - it was for someone who used to have my number (or, rather, a person who I get calls for quite often from debt collectors and I've had this number 9 years)

received message today.. of course did not call them back...

I was hassled by them before. Once you start asking questions they get unprofessional and belligerent. Well, they're initially unprofessional sounding. Looks like they changed their number again- (shocked face). Report to the FCC immediately. They threatened bodily harm and jail time which is obviously illegal. I noticed if you state "this line is being recorded" they hang up and never call you back until they change their number again.

Received a call on my cell this morning from an automated caller stating that my name and ss # were given on an application that has been flagged.  Asked for a call back and said "I look forward to hearing back from you".  That was the 1st flag.  I googled the phone # given and read the various comments.  Obviously a scam.  If they had my SS #, I'm sure they would call me directly and would know my name.  Anyway, not going to return this call.

Got same call its people that buy old acct's and try to collect i called the federal trade comm.

I just got a phone call from this number 202-266-2888 said it was from DC, USA.. said federal processing.. wanted me to call back said I had someone using personal information.. I won't be calling them.. trying to figure out how to report them again..

Received a call 2 days ago and again just a few minutes ago.  The pre-recorded message I rec'd was the same as everyone elses.  I love the internet...for I probably would have called back because of "Federal" in the Company name given...had I not typed in a search and come across this website.  Thanks everyone!!

I have gotten 2 calls from 202 266 2888 on my cell #. 1st one I missed, the 2nd I picked up in time to hear a recording from someone at Federal Check Processing and something along the lines of they had my name, SS on an application that was flagged. Very quick message, but I didn't catch call back # left.

I hit call back and got an answering machine advising to dial ext # or another to s/w agent. I waited, but got another recording asking me to leave name, number, referece # (none left on mesage), so I left name and #. We'll see if they call back and what their scam story will be. I'll play along getting as deep as I can. I'll call again in a couple days if no return calls. Can't wait to listen to their BS and then chew their a&& for this kinda c&&p.

I just started getting the same call, same message. I've been "red flagged" whatever that means.

I also got this message yesterday. Much of the message was cut off like their canned message started playing before my answering machine picked up. I called back after hours and their message indicates your "audit" will be handled by an "agent". DON'T fall for it! They're scammers in violation of multi-state laws. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. They were out of Buffalo NY for awhile, but it looks like they've moved on to D.C. To make it look like they're a federal agency. Get as much info out of them and then report them to the BBB, the FCC, the FBI and anybody else you can think of. I plan on sigging my attorney on them if they try to contact my employer!

i just got the same call at my work number I'm reporting them to the Attorney Generals office believe me if i owed anything they would sending me legiate paperwork in the mail... SCAMMERS !!!

Just received call for this number saying that information has bee collected on me and that a flag has been attached need to call back ASAP to clear up matter. My ? is, is this legit  R  ascam

Hangs up- based on above post I believe they are likely the same people calling from the number "00000000000" or "10000000000" saying the same thing

Received a call that my personal information has been submitted in an application and I should immediately call federal processing services.

Received recorded message on business line that my name and number had been flagged on an application and to call Federal Processing Center.

The caller id says Federal Processors, whatever the heck that's supposed to be!  Scammers, I'm sure.  I'm reporting them to the FBI and Attorney General.  See if they can shut them down!
