Recorded call from Tea Party Patriots.  Are they exempt from the Do Not Call list?

I hope the pesty telemarketers for the ALA,(supposedly) the American lung Association, get black lung disease in BOTH lungs!

Bothered us on a Sunday. Don't even get 1 day off from telemarketers. Hope all the American Lung Assn.paid telemarketers get black lung disease!

Unwanted and very annoying! Called on a Sunday morning and left no message. Caller id said ALA--- SUPPOSEDLY American Lung Association. Even IF it is a legitimate charity??? I would NEVER give to paid telemarketers, where most of the contributed money goes into the pockets of the telemarketers and not to those in need! Just a big ripoff.

I get calls daily from this number.  Caller ID says ALA.

I get several calls a day - 7 days a week !!!!  I am on the DO NOt CAll but to no avail -  i do not answer numbers I do not recognize .  But it is still in convienent

have received 5 phone calls in three days from this are code with different sub numbers. never leave a msg, but i answered it one time several weeks ago and the person said they were calling from the american lung assoc. so annoyed with this!

The only way the telemarketers make money, is if you DONATE through them. Go through the charity and they probably receive nothing. But then 100% of your money would go to the charity, not 15%-75% (and 75% is being very generous).

They are very likely calling FOR the American Lung Association. They are usually FOR PROFIT (Nothing wrong with being for profit, except when you claim most of your money goes to the charity) companies. Many of them keep up to 80% or MORE of the money collected. Forbes has a nice expose on this.

please stop these people from calling us. we are on the do not call list,it does not do any good. we get 5 or 6 call a day. i let it go to message  or i diconnect please make then stop. we are seniors with health problems

I kept getting calls from this number at an odd time - late night early am - found others who said it was the the American Lung association looking for donations.

they have been calling me for about a year. They sometimes leave a message.  
first call they wanted me to have my social security card and credit card handy when I called them.  I didn't    They still call.

Stop Calling us.  We will donate if we want not because you brow beat us by calling every 5 minutes!!

I have gotten THREE CALLS for the past three days, but All from DIFFERENT EXCHANGES and numbers within the "202" (Washington, DC) area code.

I SINCERELY DOUBT this is "legitimate" but is LIKELY at BEST a TELEMARKETER and at WORST a SCAMMER who is POSING as "American Lung Association" using SPOOFED NUMBERS to gain sympathy and SCAM PEOPLE out of their credit card numbers, IDENTITIES and, at the very least, their TIME.

Caller ID say "Washington DC" and it won't leave a msg; it hangs up if I don't answer.  Very annoying.

This number repeatedly calls my house and leaves no message.

I have received 10 hangup calls in the last 12 days.  I checked called ID on the last call and it was this number.  Our politicians should be able to protect us from this type of harassment, but they are apparently in the pockets of the callers and the phone companies and the marketing companies.  One of the states, perhaps, North Dakota, has a law that puts a crimp on these calls.  The marketing companies went to court to try to overturn the law and apparently lost.

Same thing, they call multiple times a day, from early in the morning to late at night and weekends, and no one is ever there when I say hello.  Tried calling back but it's says sorry we missed you.  We were calling about an important update.  BS.  If this really is the American lung association this is DEFINITELY NOT the way to solicit donations.

This irritates my wife, my dogs and me every time they call us (roughly 10-15 per week).  I'm going to call the BBB or whoever if this continues.

American Lung Association calls at least once a year, always on different numbers. They call almost every day and are now ringing before 9:00 a.m. and on Sunday. I have discontinued donating to this charity and have a friend who has done likewise because of their annoying calls.

If these calls are supposed to be legitimate, why is there no message left?  The phone rings two or three times and then they hang up.  We never, ever would donate to any organization over the phone.  These calls should not be made to people who have never heard or donated to them.  Being on the DO NOT CALL list means nothing apparently.

They call every day, sometimes twice a day - I never pick up the phone.

Same as everyone else.  Been calling for weeks!  I, also, am on the do not call list but still get dozens of calls a week from numbers I do not know....nor do I want to know!!  Yuck!!

Here we go again. It's really Ala disguised with another number. What a total waste of my time and theirs; I never answer. How many ways can I say annoying...mmmmmmmm... and may they just fall off the face of the earth.

Calls & leaves no message.
Called the 2nd time wanting me, I used an alias and used some powerful explitives, vulgartives & other words.
I informed the Black/Creole lady to remove my number from their list becaues it is listed on a national "Do Not Call" list.
This is very rude & anoying and needs to stop immediately!

Caller ID shows "Anonymous".  No message.  If, like the previous comments say, this is the American Lung Association, they use a multitude of numbers, and are very secretive about their business.  Not good business practices by this organization.
