At least this one used a real phone number and actually bothered to tell us who they were calling from before the whole message came through.  Doesn't change my mind, however.

I'm waiting for a candidate to come on TV, radio, wherever, anywhere but by phone, and swear that they won't use robocalls, and will introduce legislation to remove political exemptions for using them.  THAT person would get my vote!  At least they should not be able to block their number, or use "unknown" or "not available" on the caller ID.

Really -- A male voice is telling me to vote for Romney as a message from the Independent Women's Voice????   That is a BIG signal if Romney is elected.  Women will not be able to speak for themselves.  Romney just blows in the wind and flip flops on every issue.  Obama has done a great job with all of the challenges that our country has faced.

As for Tom Smith -- he will force his tea party agenda.  What ever happened to some compassion for people who are unemployed, or need social security benefits?  What about acknowledging that people have been paying into the system for years for these benefits/protections.  Bob Casey is a much better choice.

Robo-Call from a Republican front organization calling itself "Independent Women's Voice".  A man's voice tells me to vote for Romney(R) for Pres and Tom Smith(R) for Senate. This is the second message they left on my machine.  

I have an idea - lets pay a robo caller company to call every Congressman and Senator every day and tell them to amend the do-not-call law to remove the exception for pre-recorded messages on robo caller for politicians!  Pass it on!  I would not mind the calls if they were done by humans, that would limit the calls and allow me to ask questions of them. I don't mind a 2 way conversation, its the one way talk to a machine that irks me.

I am sick of Republican rants about the Health Care Obama has tried to put into effect to help the Middle Class..I praise him and thank God for him that my children can stay on my Insurance until age 26 because in this Economy Jobs
are NONEXISTENT...Don't BELIEVE ROMNEY will fix it any better than OBAMA...Obama is trying to make Insurance Companies pay for Women's Birth Control as well as other PREVENTATIVE measures that will save money in the long run...Romney has said Multiple times that he will Repeal Roe vs Wade and take Women back to the HORROR of Back Alley Abortions...He will also cut off Funding to Planned Parenthood which again will leave a large number of Young women without that Care so vote for Romney if you want women to go back to the DARK AGES!!!!!!!

Take your defense into your own hands, literally. Look at the Caller ID screen on your phone. If you see a name and/or number you do not recognize, do not answer the call! Do take down the information about the call, then report it to the FCC and the FTC.

I'm trying this to see if it discourages repeat phone calls: On my vtech DECT 6.0, if you hit the #3 button, it cancels the call.

Political phone calls: The Congress set up the Do Not Call system exactly so that they could make campaign phone calls! You own your home or personal cell phone. You should have the right to your privacy. I write this in a joking way: Imagine if we were still using smoke signals. These spam and scam freaks would still find a way to send unwanted messages!

Morons called me again.  They just keep giving me more reasons to vote against Akin.  Will anyone else be glad when this election is over?

I've already voted absentee but my health insurer apparently doesn't realize it, or care. If Dr. Yockey is from Elk Grove Illinois, that's another indicator it's United Healthcare playing both sides of the fence. I'm in Virginia which like Illinois gives health insurers free reign and patients be damned (or pay big $$ for poor care as Gresham's Law rules and better doctors adopt the profitable practices of the worst, who can also invest lots in misleading social networking and robocalling).

My doctor diagnosed a condition then won't treat it, except with a proven ineffective medication, saying I could go elsewhere for treatment and insurance. Plus when I complained altered my electronic medical records to put my diagnosis date nearly 2 years later. When I complained again, the insurer/provider reps bragged about their political connections with both parties and "all regulators." Oh, and they fired the people who allowed me the electronic access required by law, saying they only provided paper (altered) records, and how those employees violated their job to protect the "shareholders". They also told me to check the reissued contract, with a gag clause, saying Virginia's Insurance Bureau approved it and courts don't care. Yup, they raised my rates three times in one year and Virginia said everything's OK, we don't have jurisdiction over pretty much anything health insurers do. Plus, Obama's HHS-OIG and OCR both whiffed as promised, so it's not a Republican or Democratic thing, just $$$.

My insurer is a partner of United Healthcare and uses robocall partners DC as well as VA and MD. And I've also been getting robocalls (and messages supposedly from Americans for Prosperity) to my cellphone from 000-000-0000, which is also illegal. But then of course insurers are untouchable.

11-04-2012 @ 6:08 PM, 202-350-0240, UNKNOWN NAME = Call came from Wahington, DC.  A woman said she was Dr. Rene' so&so, and she was with Independent Women's Voice, talking about obamacare, and how it was going to affect women, etc.  Recommended voting for Romney & Todd Akin, who is running for Senate in Missouri.  This makes about the 3rd call I've received from these people.  It's nothing but a political call.  Be damn glad when the election is over so we can get back to watching our sports, and other programs without all the stupid interruptions.  Unfortunately, many people have no idea what's contained in the obamacare bill.  It will basically run your lives, decide what type of medical treatment you can receive, or not, and even decide on the way you die.  Take a look at Section 5210.  The government will even get involved in your personal finances, and interject itself into your marriages.  Like - you're black so you have to marry a white guy, or your white so you have to marry a black woman, or asian woman, etc.  Read H.R. 3962, which was passed.  You will have health care rationing (page 24, lines 4-16)  Page 50, Sec. 152 = Health care WILL be provided to ALL non-US Citizens, illegal or otherwise.  Page 59, Lines 21-24 =Government WILL have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfers.  Look it up if you don't believe me.  I could go on, but you can read it for yourself & find out what obamacare will do to you and your family.  Scared enough yet?  Better vote the SOB out and get obamacare repealed for good.

I received another call with an anonymous caller ID: Washington DC. If the caller is Independent Women's Voice, the number used by this special interest group isn't listed on their web site. Ranae Yockey is not listed as staff or spokesman.

Anti-Obamacare rant for the Senate.  I wouldn't vote for Todd "Legitimate Rape" Akin if he was the only one running.

I have received two of these calls and have tracked down that the Dr. who identifies herself is Dr. Ranae Yockey of Elk Grove, Illinois.  The information she provides in the call is misleading and untrue and is support of Todd Akin (yes, I live in Missouri).  I called Dr. Yockey's office and left a message that these calls are unappreciated.  I was not able to leave a message at the 202 number, Independent Women's voice.

Tell us how you really feel. Telemarketers should be illegal and political ads are the worst.   I don't know any rapists, maybe you should move to a better neighborhood.  I  think maybe rapists are just a figment of your imagination?  Calm down and marry another women and then you won?t have to worry about babies cause, well, that how you people roll/think.  Right?  Its too bad democrats do not believe in democracy, it really confuses the issues. Lastly, No One should tell you what to do with your body Ever.  However, if you are a bus driver you are responsible for all the lives on your bus.  If you are carrying a baby why should that be any different, each life should get an equal vote. If you don?t want that responsibility, don?t get pregnant or drive that bus.  Rommey is gone to kick your asss.

Do yourselves a favor folks and get a call blocker.  Sell a kidney and/or first-born if you must. :-)   I used money that I might have otherwise contributed to a political party or charity.  After the constant calls, I decided to put the money to better use.  The resulting absence of annoying calls is worth it.

Just got the call and I agree with what I heard, because I have done my homework and ferreted out rumours and lies from the facts.

I don't know what you're on about but I was able to understand it just fine. Maybe you should work on your reading skills.

I live in a state where I can't vote without proof of identity, which I did try to get. So these one armed dial bandits can call their hearts out, I can't go to the poles! Configure that.
