The same here, got the call from the same number and I picked it up, no response from otherside.

9 calls in the last 2 weeks, I never answer, most posts say its DC.  Thanks anyway from that spot.

I got one today.  3 PM EST.  Google ID said Reston.  Female wanted to know if my name was (my real name).  I kept asking who it was, she kept asking same.  She said she did not have access to my account, so she did not know why she was calling, but could I wait on the line.  Same woman called a month ago, and a month before that. Same scam same nonsense.  I have hung up during the "I don't know who I am or why I am calling but can you wait on the line...then nothing phase.  Obvious scam of some kind

In case you have never heard of war-dialing, here goes...it is a software program that dials numbers in a pre defined order. Many computer servers still have a dial-up modem as a back up. A war dialing program waits for a certain tone (sounds like a fax tone). They can then gain access to the server and do a whole lot of bad things. Hope that helps.

They just called us on 18 April 2008, at 10:10am.  No one would talk on the other end.  Cleveland, TN.

We're in Wisconsin.  Got a call from (202) 350-9771 last night.  Answered, but nobody there, just a click.

Same as others. Called 12:10pm. I didn't answer. No message left.

Have had calls from this # only on the weekends.  I answer after looking at the # calling and no one is there.  I try calling the same # and get the message that the # is no longer in service.  What are they trying to do. Have had at least 3 calls of this nature.

received another call from this phone number, again when I called back got fast busy.  Las time it happened I reported to my state attorney general.

Called over 5 times in the past couple weeks.  Never leaves a message, always hangs up if I answer, and always busy when I call back.

this # keeps calling me as well!!! nobody there, it disconnects immediately and when you try to call it back it is always busy.

Got a call from 202-350-9771 and garbled, unintelligent message then an abrupt hang up.

I got a call from this number claiming to be a nonprofit agency spreading the word about Americans and coal energy.  They wanted to email me information about our nation continuing to use coal for energy and tried to confirm my email address.  I asked where she got her information.  She said it comes from voter registration.  I told her I'm on the national Do Not Call registry and I don't want emails or phone calls from anybody!  If I want the information, I'll look it up myself!  I thought voter registration was supposed to be private?  I don't want my email address and information out there for just anybody to use, especially for political B.S.!

Washington DC call, said they were calling from Washington wanted to do some survey getting my opinions of the the town I live in. I took it to mean on politics. Told her I wasn't interested, she claimed it would take only a few minutes. Told  her I was in the middle of something and I wasn't interested and hung up.

this number has called me everyday for a week. i just now checked this number and found this site. is there anything i can do to stop it?

received a call today about 1256pm from this number, when i called back a person answered ans said no one called you from this number, I heard someone playing the flute in the background. the person  answereing was very rude.

I am so tired of these people calling! I will come home to voicemails with just dead air. I want to know who this is.

I keep getting a call from 202-350-9771. I answered the first time and now I check caller ID and if it is a number I don't recognize I don't answer. I figure if somebody wants to get in touch with me they can leave a message on my answering machine.

Have received 3-4 calls a day for last 3 days.  Tried answering, but there's no one on the line. They're putting some dead air on my answering machine, but I don't pick up any more....

Same thing here in Northern California. Annoying. No one on the other end. Fast busy if I try to call the number.

getting calls from this number, at least once a day for about 2 weeks now.  Never anyone there if I answer, so I typically don't.  Getting mad.
