Received a fax appearing to be from USA IRS (Dept of Treasury) asking me to complete form W-8BEN (lots of personal info for requesting recertification of foreign status).
It says to fax back to +1-202-354-4867 .

I also received it by Fax in 1st Mar. I found it is a swindle before I sent. I tried to phone 1-202-354-4867, but is is during conversation at any time.

Received scam W-8BEN form by fax. Data is inconsistent with the real form. People who fill it in and return it are likely to have their bank accounts looted. Beware!
Someone please tell the FBI and put a stop to this piracy.
