This is another 3rd party collection company that buys old accounts for pennies on the dollar in an attempt to collect the almighty dollar.

COllection Companies Bankroll on consumer ignorance where state and federal laws regarding collections is concerned.

Many collection attornies register with outside state bars so they can have privileges in other states. Usually they will pick up a local attorney to handle any business in that area.

Learn what the staute of limitation for collections is in your state, they can run from 3 - 10 years depending on your state collection laws.

FDCPA is Federal law which supercedes state law... read and learn about your rights....

Keep in mind you can send a letter to 3rd party collectors, Hollander Law in this case, informing them that you will only deal with the original holder of the account. 3rd party collectors have no right since the financial contract is with the original service provider.

Request a copy of the original debt, original service provider information and an itemized bill of service provided.

They must provide you with this information within 7-10 business days

Apparently this supposed Law Firm has applied to individual state Bar Associations so they can sue in the states they have registerd in. This is a very common practice for Attornys.
This type of play is no different than ambulance chasers.

Hollander Law is still required to follow the letter of the law in regards to FDCA.

They are required to state who the original holder of the the account is, who they bought the account from, as well as dates of service, type of service, etc. Request it.
They are required to provide you an itemized bill upon your request for the services provided by the original company thats money is owed to.
If it is a medical bill make sure to request an itemized pharmacy bill for medications and have your pharmacist go over it with you. You may be paying for a whole bottle of pills instead of the single dose given..
You can send a letter stating that you will not deal with a 3rd party collections company and you will only deal with the original company who
the money is owed to.

I personally have worked for a collections attorney. The hard core collectors will use illegal tactics in an attempt to collect monies owed since this increases the commissions the collector recieves.

They bankroll on consumer ignorance regarding the FDCPA Laws....

Learn about statutes of limitations, FDCPA laws and arm yourself with knowledge....
