My mother had that problem the guy was hindu and said his name was David Cooper

I keep getting phone calls from Anthony Cooper and tells me that my attorney or I need to return his calls or I will be in trouble.  Calls need to stop.

I have received two calls from an Anthony Cooper, saying it was extremely importing to call or have my attorneycall this second.  the number was 202-379-1947.  I called no answer, then looked him up on google.

received a call from 757-961-3544 a man who says his name is anthony cooper left a message with the call back number being 202-379-1947. called 202-379-1947 indian man by the name anthony cooper answers so I asked what company he worked for and he rattled off some legal firm. couldn't understand the names associated with the legal firm and he would not repeat the info so I hung up

I just got a message from Anthony Cooper- very heavy Hindu accent. He is rude and threatening I will be sorry if I do not contact NOW. I have had several calls over the last year from different numbers and different names- all with the same heavy accent and they will not give you details about the debt they are collecting for. They use the scare tactic to try and make you pay. Although this is obviously a scam I am concerned because they do have some partial identifying information. One time they called my in-laws- and said that I owed money! When I called back the man, he asked for my first 5 of my social...RED FLAG!! I told him I knew this was a scam and would report it. Now a few months later they are calling again! I'm getting sick of this- and more than it being an annoyance- I'm concerned that they do have some information that could be used to commit fraud. Where are these people getting their information- and is anyone doing anything to find these guys?! UGH!! Any suggestions!?

Have received a couple of "Unknown" calls and receive a message back saying that I need to call 'Anthony Cooper' back at 202 379 1947 and provide attorney information or else legal action is being take and that if I choose not to call back "God Bless and Good luck as this situation unfolds."

This is a scam.  I called back and after over an hour of asking for information as to why they were calling me they still would not tell me what it was.  They had personal information of mine that was all out of date and incorrect, but they had my correct social which scared me.  

The man I spoke with was very forceful and rude and spoke with a heavy hindu accent.  He also was very scripted and had trouble coming up with answers when I asked him the name of his company and asked for them to provide me paperwork for me to see regarding the debt they were claiming.  

He told me he was not a debt collector but that he would be sending my information to the courts and I would be charged with several accounts of theft and fraud tomorrow.  When I asked why I had not been contacted until the day before said paperwork was being processed he said that thats how it works and I couldn't get any paperwork unless I went to court.  

My dad is a police officer and I know that this is not how court appearances and lawsuits work.  Legitimate debt collectors will provide you with a letter of what the debt is and give you the option to pay it or refute it within thirty days.  When  I asked why they didn't do this they told me I signed away my rights and said they would only contact me by phone.  I definitely never signed away my rights.

These people try to scare you and say that you owe money and you're going to court or jail, but they will not provide you with any legitimate company information about where the supposed debt came from.  They are very argumentative when you ask for things that are in your basic rights.  They become more forceful when you are educated about the system and call them out for being a scam.  

After an hour of getting nothing from the first guy (Anthony Cooper supposedly) they transferred me to their "financial department" where first I got transferred to a random voicemail in Wisconsin (I live no where near there) and then received a call back where they transferred me to the "financial department" where an Asian man (He said his name was Parker Smith then later said it was David Parker) told me that my only options were to pay money now or proceed with the court actions and the legal department.  
Up at this point in the conversation I knew it was all a scam but I wanted to see how far it went, so I asked about then sending me a statement to pay the debt or refute it.  He repeatedly told me if I wanted to refute it I could recall the legal department and show up to court.  He said he could not send me a statement because the legal department had "seized all paperwork" associated with my name.  This makes no sense at all that their own company would seize papers so no one can send information regarding it.  Then the guy told me he could help me out if I wanted to settle out of court by paying the debt with him and then I would receive a statement.  He told me I could pay him with a WALMART PREPAID CARD.  Hello scam.  And then when I asked why they didn't accept any other forms of payment besides a walmart card, the man told me they accepted GreenDot Prepaid cards from CVS PHARMACY.  Obvious scam.  No legitimate business will ask for giftcards and prepaid cards as a method of payment. The gentleman asked me to call him back within the hour with a walmart confirmation code number or else he would send my paperwork to the courts.  

This is an unbelievable scam.  They work by scaring people into doing this.  It's ridiculous and any company that will not provide you with basic information about the "case" they have with you is not legitimate.  You have a right to your own information.  Never pay a company like this that asks for money right away or by prepaid and giftcards.  These are all red flags!!

Same pattern. This is the first time "Anthony Cooper" has left a message for me.  The caller did not even specify to whom the message was directed.  I do get debt collectors who identify themselves and the company they are with, who the message is for, with a reference number, and that it is a debt collection call.  No of the above here; 120% bogus, it appears.  This caller can be reported to the phone company or police for legal action for telephone harassment.

I keep receiving unwanted calls from this number the person is  a hindu sounding guy with an american name Anthony Cooper. He tells me I or my attorney need to call him since it is time sensitive.  He said I owe for a payday loan and I have no payday loans out and don't want any either.  HE calls multiple times a day and threatens me on my voice mail. The calls need to quit.

Received a call from this number on my cell from a man with an accent who said his name is Anthony Cooper.  He left a message threatening me to have my attorney or me call immediately saying it is time sensitive.  Really?!?!?!

this man with a hindu voice calls every 3 months with the same message state I must  call him or  lawyer I have filed a police report because I had the person name and number

A man with a heavy accent just called and left e a very scripted message stating if I or my attorney did not call him back I would be very sorry.  This is obviously either a scam or a very unprofessional collections agency.

I've been getting a calls for almost a year by the same man but just leaves different names and numbers. Threatening me to have attorney or I call immediately saying its time sensitive. I ended up loosing my job cause this man told them I'd be arrested!!??  For what? He gives out no information and he has the wrong social security number to top it off. I'm looking for a job but can't answer my phone cause they continue to harrass me. You complain but no one can track him down. The phones bounce all over the world.
