I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK 1-202-407-9059 AND THE RECEIVER ON THE OTHER END CLAIMED THAT HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT GOVERNMENT GRANTS... SCAMMMMM

I just received a call on my cell phone from someone stating they worked for the federal government and that I should call their corporate number at1-202-407-9059. they told me that I was approved for a Gov grant for 7500.00 and all i needed to do was call their corporate #  to get an ID Code which was KO506. when calling the corporate number I was advised to go to wal mart or cvs to get a green dot money pack and put 295.00 dollars and then call the corporate number again to verify that I bought and green dot money pack and placed money on this. SCAM........

I got a call also saying i was awarded 7000.00 for a goverment grant home loan

was given an ID and phone number to call  202-407-9059
called and got a person in a noisy room speaking Arabic and telling me to send them 249.00 dollars to claim my grant through Western Union
I told them it sounded like a scam to me and they got extremely nasty

Thank you for the comments.  I called this number after getting the same message  When I told them that they could mail me a check and they didn't need my DL number or SSN to do that they hung up on me.  Someone in the government should be looking into this federal crime.  Especially if it is this wide spread.

Just received a call from these scammers and no I'm not calling them back...if it were the government I would be able to find this specific departments number online...SCAM!!!

The indian guy called me to say that I was randomly picked to receive a government grant of 7,500 dollars. Gave me this # to call 202-407-9059. Then the other person says I need to go to Walmart to receive the money gram and take 290.00 with me to receive the money. I hung up on him and googled the #. Silly, trix are for kids

Its true n i feel do dum but im a mother of two in a shetler i got  the same call from that number 2024079059 i was told i had a grant for7500 but i had to pay a deposit of 200 to get it frist a guy called then a women from this number 2026979394 she told me to call the frinumber i daid the guy told me his name was jonh n take i had to wait 30mins to get the money i thou it was a blessing for me being thatvim homeless n i could of use it on my christmas for my kids i bower the money from a friend noe i cant pay him back dont know how but dont how poeple how they can take from poeple who really dont have means i hope they get cougt cause its wrong n its wrong how they say no worrie we are not a scam promise u that that f****d up

These people called my mother, a 74 year old widow. They have a thick accent that she could hardly understand, and left the number for her to call, telling her that she qualified for a $7,500 government grant because she had paid all of her bills on time and yada-yada-yada... She was smart, thank goodness and asked me what I thought before she called their stupid number. What jerks. I wish they would just EARN AN HONEST LIVING AND STOP PREYING ON UNSUSPECTING AND INNOCENT PEOPLE!

i just got a call as well from this fast talking towel headed f***. said the government is giving out free grants to people like me. no criminal record in last 6 months , i paid my bills on time and such... he was very wrong about that i'm in debt and just got charged with some misdemeanors  ... none the less he knew my bankruptcy ,my address, my name, my zip code, knew that i get child support... scary stuff. he really wanted my DOB and i knew better than that. i mean come on people no one is that gullible i hope! and called off a restricted number... so if you're from the department of human and health services why would you be calling off restricted number?? kept saying im from government... no i see through your sand n****r a**. probably from a foreign country. scary stuff how he knew all my personal information though. told me to call the 202 number as well. said HERE TALK TO MY MANAGER.. I CAN LET YOU TALK TO HIM HES A WHITE GUY WANNA TALK TO WHITE GUY? like that would somehow ensure hes not a scammer . LOL said his name is albert scott.. like most typical white man name he can think of. Just goes to show how extraordinarily stupid and gullible some americans are, and how f****ng incredibly sneaky and devious the world of identity hackers/western union scams are getting. You really would have to be quite dumb to send them your money. or anyone you don't know your money on that note. i hope this helped some poor hack out that in the states. alas devils are getting smarter.

I got a call today from an unavailabile number! Who told me I had been choosen to receive 7500.00 dollars. All I had to do was call 202 409 9059 and give the my code of TR717! So I did they said I could go to Western Union to collect my money but first I must pay a security deposit of 290.00 dollars I told them it sounded like a scam they wanted to asure me it was not! So I waited and called them back after about 15 mins I claimed I was at the store  he told me to get a money transpher form! By that time I was so angry I freaked out i yelled at the man on the phone who I could not understand I told he he was a scam artist and a very bad person and he should be discussed with him self I threatened to call the police and he said he was going to call the police on me for threatening the government! I hung up on the man and that was at 11:23 am since that time he has called ne back 28 times in a rowe and it is only 11:50 am now!! I am single mother and if I would have done i would be broke because of thee ungrateful worthless selfish thieves!!!

I got the same call from an indian fellow saying that I am I eligible for $7500 grant how come no one is taking this seriously i think we should tap our phones and track this scammers down. How can we put an end to this? Definitely a scam dept in Washington somewhere... Do not fall for this!!!

when they call it appears as an unavailable number. they tell you that you got money as a grant & they want to know your information & your bank account number. They say that they are calling from US grant department in Washington DC. It is Fraud!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO ANYBODY.

Received a call saying that there are from US treasury  claiming that I was awarded a grant of $7500.00, and that I could go to western union and call them back at 202 407 9059 and ask for mr. Albert Scott., and then he will guide me of what to do when i reach to western union, but he told me i have to pay  280.00 before getting that 7500.00. Dont trust these call its a scam.........

They called you claiming to be from the federal government claiming that they owe you money.  Don't give them any information it's a scam!!

This was stupid as hell. A woman called me and said I was approved for a government grant of 7500.she called from 000-000-0000 told me to call Albert Scott at 2024079059. Could barely understand her so I asked him how was I approved for this. He said because I have no record and paid my hahahlls and some other stuff. Never had bills in my name dumbass I'm 20 and the bills are in my roommates parents name. Plus I do have a record for fighting. Anyways he said to go ti western union right now and release 280.00 haha he must have lost his ever lovin mind! !!!! I told him there was no way in hell I was sending some stranger money. He got kinda upset told me to borrow it and I told him he was f****ng crazy. He didn't like that to much. Its a total scam and I hope nobody falls for it.

recvd a call from 530-559-1657 (US Tres.Dept) stating I had been awarded a Govmt grant for $7500 dollars. Take down this confirmation number and call my Senior Accountant in the Finance Dept. to make the arrangements.
Called the guy @ 202-407-9059. He said to go to the nearest Money Gram or Western Union Office and
to call back before entering the store so that the entire call can be recorded. Give the clerk your bank info to give us a security deposit of $280.00 bucks and the amount would be returned once the grant money was processed & sent.
REALLY, PAY YOU MONEY FOR ME TO RECEIVE MONEY, No Thanks, Not that Stupid.
