Lier! Pay NO attention to the SHILL behind the curtain. It's a simple Nigerian advance fee scam. The only thing you get, after sending them money, is taken! Oh how they try. You'd think with all the sports bars in Mumbai India they'd go out, have a nice cold beer, watch the cricket match, & then find a REAL job.

i also received the same calls from this...202 saying that i was selected to recieved 7000$ from the govt at first i don't trust them it seem lik a scam but finally i got $7000 and my security deposit  back i m really happy and i appreciate them they are from the real grant dept.. i like my govts

Thank you I was wondering who I could call and report this as a scam. Or even notify my local TV station to do a story regarding this SCAM. I recently gave a women $350 to write a grant for me and I did not receive the grant because the Grant lady died. But I did get my $350 back after almost 11 months. So, when I got this call I was already P D off. I truly hate when people try to play me for a sucker...

I received two calls from these people. The last time they call when the woman started to talk I was like shocked that they called back. I started talking like oh yeah I have $7000 thousand waiting go to Western Union and sent $290. So I told the lady to take the $290 out of the 7000 and send me the rest. lol

I too just received the same call telling me the grant story .  Giving me the code WG1020, and telling me to call 202-407-9092.  I checked immediately upon getting off the phone and finding this website!  
I will be calling my congressmen and local officials on Monday about this scam!  Enough of all the crap!  These are hard enough times, and we should not have to deal with things like this over again and again!  

I got a call from this number about an hour ago.  Was told I qualified for $7,000 government grant and I just needed to call his supervisor at (202)407-9092 and give him confirmation # WG1011 and the supervisor would instruct me on what to do to receive the money.  I called back in about 30 minutes (to get info to pass on to the authorities) and the "supervisor" said "I have nothing for you now, can you call back in 30 minutes"

Both men were very hard to understand...possibly India descent.

I received the same call.  I told him it was a scam and he is like.  WHY WOULD IT BE A SCAM?!?!?!  I gave you a confirmation #.  Well that doesn't do any good.  The number was 202-407-9092.  That conversation was after the 2nd call asking why I havent called them yet.

I received a call today and they were wanting to give me $7000 and when they asked me to pay a one time fee at western union and I refused, they hung up!

I got a call from Michael soto from a 000001 number saying I have been selected to receive 7,000 dollar grant and he had all my info then he gave me a confirmation number wg1019 and that to call back for further instructions to pick up my money at western union should I report this to the police and make report?

If you get any more of these calls, ask them how they are working since the Federal Government has shut down all but essential services.  All grant and loan programs have suspended processing for the duration.  Of course this is a scam but it's pretty funny the scammers are too stupid to realize they would be on furlough right now if they actually did work for the government.

Just got a call from 'unknown name/unknown number' according to my caller ID. I was told to call back #202-407-9092, and give confirmation #WG1020. I had difficulty understanding due to the heavy accent and so much background noise that my hearing aids were picking up. I was told that I would be receiving a $7,000.00 government grant that I would never have to pay back. sounded way to good to be true. My name and phone number were picked at random and I qualified because I had not filed for bankruptcy, had no criminal record, paid my bills on time, etc. Since I had such a hard time understanding the the first caller, they turned me over to someone else, a Larry Green. He wasn't much easier to understand and there still was all of that background noise.  I did not call them back because I felt that It had to be a scam. Maybe they thought that, since I am over 60 now, I had lost my senses and would easily fall for their scam. I would just like to know how they got my name, phone number, and address in the first place.

Just got the annoying call from Ronnie with the extremely thick accent who cannot read very well. I told him it sounded like he was calling from a call center (very noisy in the background) and that he was reading from a script.  He messed up too many words to be free styling it.  He said I was chosen for the $7,000 and I needed to call 202-407-9092 right away to get more information.  Definitely not calling.  Knew it was a scam from the get go.  Kept egging him on.  I hated the fact that he had some of my personal information.  Kept telling him if he was with the government, he should have known some of the information he was asking.  Only reason I answered is the number came up 000-000-0000.  Was curious to see what idiot had that number.  Now I know.

I just received a call from 202-407-9092 he identified his self as Donald the manager of the Grant department. Very broken English.  That I just qualified for $7,000 dollars.  If I could give them my Birthdate and Address I hung the phone up.

Got a call about the 7000 grant I was chosen for.. found this site soo I called back and asked how they feel to rip off people. I cussed them out and a female asked me what I wanted and if I know that this is a scam then why did I call back lol... she really got cussed out but when I stated that I was going to come to Washington D.C. to get my money from her hands she hung up scared. Please do not let them scam you. Luckily I didn't send in the 280 security deposit to the f****rs. Sorry to everyone who has been scammed and I will be reporting they a***s for all of you and maybe call early morning and cuss them out again because they make me sick. They can't get a real job soo they steal from hard working people and our elders.

I got a call today, first the call came showed up on my caller id as coming from 416-364-1111 and the second time they called it came up as an unknown number. I got the same message everyone else seems to have gotten on here...$7,000 grant from the "Government" for a good use because I was a "good" citizen. Don't tell anyone, etc. When I asked for them to send me the info in writing they gave me a confirmation number - WG1021 and asked I call his supervisor back at 202-407-9092.

I received same call as others. I called 202-407-9092(WG1020 code they gave) and guy asked me to callback in 15-20 minutes since they were experiencing technical difficulties. SMDH. Some people should not be allowed to play on phone & waste others time. DON'T BECOME A VICTIM!!!

I got the call today... from a 0000000000 number.. then I got the conformation code (wz1014) so I called the 202 number... asked a few questions, main one being "what is a website I can look at" he replied, www.grants.gov, so I just made a call to grants.gov and reported fraud which they have been aware of for a while now... DO NOT send them money! A grant is FREE of charge in every way! I then called the man back (Donald was his name for me) and I politely said "I think your ridiculous for acting like a company and stealing money from people who truly get their hopes up that things may get better, just so you know I contacted the gov and the police and they records of your calls" THE GUY WENT CRAZY! CUssing telling me "if you think I am a scam and don't want your f#%£ing money then get lost.......... THAT SAID IT ALL! Please be careful!
