I just spoke to someone from an unidentified number offering me 9000 in grant money. When she asked for my information I requested proof  that this was an legitimate offer from the government. she gave me the following  number (202-407-9094) supervisor Jason Lee. Upon speaking to him. He was rude and yelling at me for asking for proof. I told him never to call my number again and take my name off the list. He told me to suck his D***. This is a scam and someone should report them to the police. Do not fall for this!!!!

Just got the same call! What a waste of my time.

Got call from this number and told me that i have selected for $9000 grant money and i had given my bank details in hurry. don't know whats going to happen with my Bank account now

I got a call from Maria today and she told me to call Nicole Parker to receive $ 6000. I knew it was a scam but I was bored at work today so I played along. I called Nicole and she gave me the same bull s*!t about good citizen blah blah...she sounded Indian to me as well. I am Indian too so was pretty infuriated but decided to play along. We had been speaking in English up until now she continued to tell me how the money pak thing would work and after i bought a 300 money pak I would get $6300 back...now I started to talk curse her out in Hindi and told her to stop scamming Americans.  She soon hung up on me.

They told me I could get a $9,000 grant if I went to a Fred Meyer or 7-11 and wired them $300 then they would send $9,300 back.
Background noise sounded like a telemarketing office.
I asked why the Federal Government couldn't just send me a check directly like they do for my tax return. He explained that they have had much trouble in the past with people not getting their money and that this was a safer way.
Both "representatives" I spoke with had thick accents and were obviously reading their lines off a script, even to answer my questions.

I received a call from this number this morning informing me that I was approved for a 9K grant. I listened cause I was interested as to why they had forgeries working for the federal government. First they wanted to know how I would like to receive the money so I told them to send me a check. They said I either had to direct deposit it or have it western union to me.. So I said western union, she gave me a code and another phone number to call and give the code so the money could be released. I called the number and talked to some guy Ricky Moore, and then he was like in order for it to be western union I need to go to Fred Meyeror Wal-Mart and buy a prepaid card and put 300 of my own money and to call back once that was done and some other things  I couldn't understand and told him I didn't understand what he was saying. He then preceded to call me the b word and I told him I didn't understand what the US government had Indians calling about grants.. he then again said this call is being recorded and called me a stupid b.. and that this was from the federal government and then I informed him that I work for the military which is the federal government and hung up on him

I had been filling out things for scholarships and grants, just starting college again, and what do you know.... they called me at my house, job, and cell phone!
I can't wait until they get in trouble!!!!

An unknown number called my son and gave him this number to call along with a ID# and instructed him to ask for Senior Accountant Ricky Moore. As his father I called the number and was told that we qualified for a one time grant of $9000 that could be wired through MoneyGram. I could barely understand what he was explain and asked for clarification. The guy got upset and asked my age and then stated that I should be able to understand English. He became upset and stated that he was not gong to process the grant and hung up. Of course I put the number 202-407-9094 in Google and bam a SCAM.  I called back and got an answer machine and left a message with my findings. He immediately called back and became irate with the use of vulgar language. This is the type of thing that makes it hard for working class folks to get ahead. Someone is always trying to take the lazy route to wealth on the backs of hard workers.

I just received a call from a woman who said that I was chosen to receive a $9,000 grant from the government because I had not filed a bankruptcy in the last 24 months. She asked how I wanted to receive my grant money and I told her to send me a check - she said they do not send checks but could send by Western Union or credit card.  Told her to send me a credit card and she wanted MY credit card info.  Told her there was no way I was giving her MY info and to send it to my by Western Union.  She gave me a confirmation ID# and the phone number 202-407-9094 to call to give my ID# to activate my grant money so I could pick it up at the Western Union store.  I immediately Googled the number and found this page - so here is my posting on March 29, 2014 - needless to say I did not call the number.

I received a call from this # (203) 923-4781 they told me that I won a grant of $9,000, the reason was because my name and address was chosen from a stack of thousands of surveys that people apply to get a scholarship. The lady told me that is money from the government that I don't have to pay back, but to get my money I have to call that same # (202) 407-9094 and she also gave me a confirmation # of five letters, obviously I didn't call that number because I already knew that this was a scam. These scammers will do anything to convince people and make them fall for their trap. Since I already know about this I just went along with them and made it sound that I fall for their trap, but they are wrong!!! I just want to do something about this because I bet they have scam many people and from what I heard most of them are students of ages 20 n up. They are doing everything they can to scam people and empty their wallets, this have to stop is making me really angry...    

Just got the call as well. before I even considered calling, I googled (I <3 google) the number. Just as I anticipated. It's a scam.  Be cautious ya'll.

Just got a similar call today.  They said they were from the United States Federal Government in Washington, D.C. and the  lady (with a heavy accent) explained how I "won" this educational grant.  She asked if I wanted cash-in-hand or I could give her my bank account #.  Needless to say, I did not give out my #.  She wanted me to call the 202-407-9094 number and talk to her manager, Ricky Moore.  I did not call him, I googled the number and found how many other people have been scammed by these people.  Despicable!

2/24/14 just got the same call, i was so confused when i received the call. i was at work and the woman spoke in a very heavy accent i could barely make out a word she said. i asked her to repeat herself a number of times which made her really mad. the woman stated my full name and address in the first minute to throw me off and to make me believe that she had all my information. at the end of the conversation she asked me how i want the money sent to, i couldnt understand what my first option was so i took the second, until she told me i have to give her my bank account #!!!!!! if she was from the United States Gov. which she claimed to be from that is not the way they would present  me the money. i quickly googled this number that she provided. thank G-d other people wrote in about this number . i hope she doesnt continue this and im just concerned where she got this information from!

I just got a call from them today saying I got randomly selected for $9,000 in grant money but I would have to pay "the bank" $310 so when I ask for proof he got really mad and hung up

i just got the call from that 202-407-9094 and i could barely understand the two guys i spoke with. But they defitnitely implied that they needed 230.00 to be western union to  them so i can recieve the 9,000 grant. I am to wait at western union fter i wired the 230.00 to them and the wait for 45 min to and hour to recieve the 9,000 in full. I was also told not to mention this to anyone or  western union  that the 9grand is free cash, what a ripp off

I received a call from 202-407-9094 to hear some wonderful news, "finally !!".
The passed few months have taken a toll on my family and I.
Finally a sigh of relief . the gentleman on the phone assured me that my 9000.00 was waiting for me in D.C.
but I needed 230.00 for the transaction fee......
From the blindness of light at the end of the tunnel, immediately I called everyone knew to borrow money.....

It's all a scam !

I just got a call from a 2039234781 number telling me I had a grant of $9000. They were claiming to be from the US censes bureau. Had me call a Nicole Parker at 2024079094. The money was supposed to be in my checking account tonight, but I had to go to a western union to pay them $250.  

Just received the same call  my "grant" money was $9K.  He said I could receive it either to my bank account, my debit card or they would send me cash to a Western Union near me!

I just got a call from 203-923-4781, a woman named "Nelly" told me that I was picked out of 17,000 people in my area that had paid bills and taxes on time with no criminal record, to be given $9,000.00 from a government grant.  So stupid, there's not even close to 17,000 people in the area I live.  So I listened and verified my name, address, and age. Lots of background noise.  She gave me a 5 digit code to pass on to "Nicole Parker" at 202-407-9094.  Haven't called the number, but I do plan on calling my bank to make sure the ones that called me don't have any of my other personal information.  Isn't it illegal to impersonate a government official of any kind?  Can legal action be taken against these people?

I just received this same phone call 11/8/13....and the only reason i listened was because I've been applying for student aide so i thought it had something to do with that. if the guys accent hadn't been so heavy they may have had me glad i looked up the number....

She flat out told me it was a scam!!!!! Her "name" is Nicole Parker!! People need to get a life

i received the phone calls a week ago to which i ignored,.. but yesterday i wanted to know how much info they have on me,. and how much i could retreive. So the first guy i spoke with sounded Hindu or some where from that side of the world. He said his name was Larry Smith calling for the Goverment Grants Department and i had been selected to 9k dlls. money that i had to spend wisely (i bursted out laughing, u said ur name is Larry???) i guess i got him upsaid,.. he said please hold mam..  5 seconds later i had an Asian accent woman ( i didnt get her name) Repeating the same thing and she just need to verify my info..and sure enough, my name, my address, my date of birth and obviously my home phone. Thank goodness she didnt have my social or accounts, or at least she denied having it. She gave me a control number and that i needed to call Nicole Parker who is the representative or lady in charge of the grants at 202-407-9094 (number to which is an answering maching) in order to receive the money. All i could get from her is that she works with the goverment grants dept. that she was calling from Washington DC. the backgound noisy.. i could hear other people and phones ringing..at times her voice was louder like if the call was going through some machine or re-router.  * My fear is them getting my eldery mom tangeled in this F***n scam this was the 3rd time they called.  I really hope the authorities are taking actions on this.

Hi, I also got the same call from 202-407-9094 and I was told I have been selected for a grant of 9000 dollars. The person I spoke with said her name was Nicole Parker with Indian accent as well but I am trying to figure out how they got my information where I lived. She told me that if I go to western union and send then 230 dollars (as a security deposit, so as to not have to disclose how much money I am receiving and from whom). This is supposedly to prevent having them take out $3000 as a charge for the transfer of funds. She also told me that I would receive the money from western union in a half hour after sending the money. I was Sooo excited and now totally bummed out. I really could have used that money to help me with bills and school loans and such....=( If you are wise You will turn these people over to the police. What they are doing is so wrong TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!

i got a call from this number telling me that i won a gov grant of 9000 and to claim it i needed a checking acct or master or visa credit card to be credit it and i said no thanks he kept insisting and i told him ok im not giving you my info if you want to give me the money send it to my house cash and he hang out. Nobody gives money just
because so people please be alert no to give information over the phone.

Ditto only thing is i gave them the wrong numbers to my account and they told me they could not find my file just yet to call back in 15 mind
