Caller called and I said I was on do not call and hung up. He called back and said he was with Microsoft tech. I told him I needed to verify that he was real. He tried to direct me to do something on my computer and I declined. I asked for a number to call and he gave me 202-47-9179. He said ask for Peter. My smarter than me wife looked up the number on google and found out it was a scam.

I would like to ask people to block their number for ID and call these people back and try to get them to pay you for your time. At least tie up their lines with worthless questions. Do they have rights?

My 80-year-old mother got a call today from this number - Brad Brown with an Indian accent -- just like the scenarios described above. She spent over 30 minutes on the phone with him and hung up when he asked for money, but they had already breached her computer through showmypc.com. We've changed passwords, but are now worried about malware threats. Be aware!

Got a call. Played along until I got phone number. Looked it up and found this page. Guy named "James Love" (lie) wanted me to download Team Viewer. I did not complete download. Asked him if at any time he was planning to ask for money. He said no. I said this call is over and hung up.

HAd a call from Jenny ( who refused to provide a surname) from Southern Enterprise advising that I had viruses on my pc. I advised her that was not true and that she was either a willing participator in a scam or was being tricked herself. She became angry and asked me if it makes me happy to call her a scammer, I said it saddened me that these things were happening and that she was in some way playing a role. I asked her for a contact number, she provided one, 02) 80060423, when I asked her to repeat the number, she attempted to but got it wrong.
I asked what made her think I even owned a computer, she said at some point I must have signed up to Microsoft updates and that is where she got my contact details from. She had an old address for me from 12 years ago..... Interesting..... she then said that the latest report from my pc was from today.... she eventually hung up after I asked if she was refusing to identify herself.

got a call from a male voice with an indian accent. said my computer was not working correctly and he was working for Microsoft. when he tried to take over my computer a message said that he was working off a free trial of team viewer and the message in essence said that if you don't know the caller to end the session. i told him i would do my due diligence.
he called back just minutes later and he was informed to scam sombody else.

Received a call from this number (202-407-9179). Also stated he was from Microsoft tech-support and my pc was infected and my windows 7 account has expired and said that it cost me $ 279.00 to update. He said his name was Brad Brown but had a strong Indian accent. Hung up the phone and redialed the number......a Ryan Thomas answered and he sound like the first person. Somehow they got into my PC.....now I'm really concerned that they have my sensitive info. These guys are a total scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CC NUMBER AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO GET INTO YOUR PC!!!!!!!!.

Phone call received 0830hrs 12th Dec 2013 from 2024079179 from a female named 'Sharon' who said she was calling from Windows Technical Dept about a virus on my computer. When asked where she was calling from she said 'Washington'. I said I would verify her contact details and call her back - which obviously I had no intention of doing.

Said they were from Microsoft Windows. Indian or other accent. Said his name was Brad Brown, the supervisor that I talked to. He then proceeded with what the first guy was saying.
