Annoying telemarketers!

I RECEIVE @ LEAST 1 CALL EACH DAY FROM THIS PHONE #!!!
HOW CAN I GET THIS TO CEASE???

Just rec'd a call from this same #. Did not answer.

Can anyone please tell me how I can stop these phone calls? I recive them at least once a week. I have told these people to stop calling, and all they do is change their last four of there number.

This number keeps calling and then hanging up! If I let it go to voice mail, they don't leave a message.

when you see the number, answer the phone "district attorney's office" and listen for how fast they hang up....but i do like the idea of the air horn...i think i will get one.

7 am on my day off. When I answered it clicked and made fax sounds then hung up.....

I have been getting calls from this number for a few months now, and at least several times a day, then a month goes by with no calls, now they are calling with a man by the name of "John" that is literally harrassing me telling me to do S$Xual things to him. Who can I contact as it is going to be a mess to change my number?

I want these stupid people to stop calling my busy lines. They are so annoying!!

Yes, they are using magic jack phones lines.  I filed a complaint with the FTC today and when he called this morning, I told him I had filed a complaint.  Probably calling from overseas anyway, they won't catch them.  Sad thing is they will probably have stupid people who will fall for their scam!  I am so annoyed and frustrated too.

Received calls from this number as well as another number 210-401-7977.  Same Indian speaking man.  I filed a complaint with the FTC and the do not call registry this morning.  I asked him yesterday if he spoke english?  he stated that he did.  Then I asked him what about the word "no" "stop calling" didn't he understand if he spoke english!  I just stopped answering the calls after I told him that I reported the numbers to the FTC.

I've been getting these calls intermittently for years now. The people identify themselves as being with U. S. Pharmacy, offering me "refills on my prescriptions." Their specialty seems to be erectile dysfunction drugs (Viagra, Cialis, etc.). At first, the calls were occasional, but I've been getting them every day now for several weeks. I've tried many things to get them to stop calling, including politely asking them to stop calling me, and they just hang up, and I'll get another call the next day or two later.

Recently I saw a post on another Web site that complained about the people who call from this company. They're located in India. I've actually started to engage the callers in conversation, trying to fish more information from them -- like asking for their Web site, or a phone number to call them back on (the number that shows up on caller ID is probably spoofed), and usually they hang up as soon as I start asking those kinds of questions. But once in a while I'll get someone who actually talks to me, all the while trying to engage me in getting a prescription refill. The other Web site I mentioned earlier said that they got the U. S. Pharmacy people to stop calling by telling the caller that "I heard your mother is unclean." This is a terrible thing to say, I know, but sometimes you have to resort to such tactics to get these annoying people to stop. I did say that to the most recent caller, and he actually got quite upset and hung up on me! I enjoyed every second of his pique, and I laugh about it each time I think about it. (Still.)

There's little recourse to get these people to stop calling. They're operating out of another country, so U.S. laws regarding do not call lists and stopping unwanted telephone solicitation do not apply to them. And they probably work in huge call centers and are very minimally paid.

When anyone receives unidentifed phone calls, have ready a blow horn and blast them.  Make sure that you answer the call and wait for the person to acknowledge and then BLAST them.  They'll be hard of hearing for a while and it will deter them from calling again.  I got this idea from the police when I was receiving crank calls back in the 80's.  Worked for me.

This number has called me so many times in the last few months, the first few times they asked if I wanted to buy pharmaceuticals, I yelled at them and asked them why they were calling me, told them not to call me and that what they are doing is illegal.  The last few months I have either not answered or when I did they hung up on me before speaking.  All of the people had Indian sounding accents and I wonder if they are calling using magic jack from aboard.  I have to go on and set up a blocked call list, just got another call from another number on this site that people said also were harassing people about buying drugs.  I have never experienced this before, and dont know how many more calls i am going to get like this, as I can only block 4 or 5 numbers with out having to pay extra.  These caller make me so mad that people can get away with this!

They have been calling me as well.  AND called on Thanksgiving Day!  I actually had my home phone number changed to keep them from calling, but they are calling my cell phone.  I must have used them YEARS ago for vitamins and now I guess I will be harassed for life!!!

If you are on a do not call list you can actually sue these people. The # that called me acting to be Agent William Rice w/ the fed DEA has VM when u call back, the # is traceable! Go get therrm for all of us!!!

I got a call from someone claiming to be as DEA agent and told me I was being prosecuted for an order I made over 51/2 yrs ago. He said I could pay the fine (of over $1,100) and it wouldnt go any further. Btw the fine was to payed via western union CASH to the Dominican Rep! If I didn't pay at least half the fine (in an hour) he was turning it over to the federal judge and I would most likely do 2-4 years in federal prison!!! At the time of the call I had my 3yr old in the backseat of my car pulling up to the hospital while my granma was going into major surgery. I'm a smart girl but these people are smart and convincing ecsp while threatening your life and family. I immediately called my family lawyer and e said this was the newest scam most likely being run by the same co. As of now I have a court date set at 9am in DC on Dec 13th the federal building, yeah which one db a** theyre all fed!! My lawer said it would cont. and not to answer. No one fall for this as real as they make it sound. By law the fed govt must send a certified letter, come and arrest you and you would have to post bond to have a fed court date. Not to mention as fine from fed DEA runs closer to 10k and would NEVER go through western union w/cash only. These people need to be found and prosecuted for harassment upon other things! I hope this dude goes strait to hell for the 5 min he had me to the point I couldn't think clearly as a flash of being apart from my son would be my personal hell!! There have got to be laws against impostering a federal agent!! CON ARTISTS!!!!!! If there are laws or you have had a similar experience (especially w/ an agent William Rice) please post back, I wanna take this guy down!!!

got a call from 202-409-6594; tried to call back; got a message that said the number was not valid; caller didn't leave a message

I keep getting calls from 202-409-6594 and keep missing them. Finally today, I answered... They said, hi, and then was silent for a few seconds like they were trying to read off of something..> Then said some crap about a pharmacy or something.. I was like "this is a frigen business phone" NEVER CALL BACK.. Take me off of your calling list.. She was like sorry mammm, and I was like NO, STOP CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anne...how do you know our info was sold?  I've been getting the "drug pusher" calls for years now (maybe 5 or 6) and these a***oles are just the latest batch.  I've done all the stuff all of you folks have and then some except blow a whistle and answer the phone "Sheriff's Office!!!  I filed with the FCC and followed up and put my name on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  But there again, they are governmental agencies, right?  I want to get these b*****ds.  I am disgusted.  My husband sleeps during the day so this is especially egregious.  This number is on a whole host of websites and no one seems to be able to know what the eff to do!

I found when I answered the phone "Sheriff's Office" they have not called back.

I have been getting calls from this number for about a year now.  I filed an FCC complaint and threatened the drug pushers numerous times.  The number comes from the DC area through Nextel but when I called Nextel, the number doesn't show as theirs.  Could this be a throw-away phone?  Who governs throw-away phones?  I am on the Do Not Call Registry but apparently that doesn't make for a hill of beans.  I'd love to fine these b*****ds for non-compliance.  Yeah right.  Anyone have any ideas on how to snag them?

They have been calling me for literally years. I am fed up with their ignorance. Called on Thanksgiving Day!! Totally stupid!!! They have been identified as US Pharmacy and a host of other names about prescription drugs. Is there nothing we can do to stop this nonsense????

I've been receiving calls from this number every day around dinnertime.  As for this number not existing: once I called one of these numbers back, and found out it was for a Verizon conference center! As we had a Verizon land line at the time, I called Verizon to complain. They said that these types of callers use something called 'number spoofing', where the number displayed on the caller id is not the actual number they are calling from.  So forget about being able to do anything. Just pick up.  A whistle does no good, as it's a computer which is doing the actual call placing, and its about 20-30 seconds while the computer decides it has reached a person (rather than a machine), and switches the call to a salesperson

Get these calls daily as well. They are foreign accent people and they all say they are with a pharmacy or refill however when you ask for a manager or their company name and address they hang up on you. All you can do is block the calls...it appears to be a scam.

I have been harrassed by these people for years on my work phone.  I have asked repeatedly to take me off of their call list and they won't even let me finish a sentence...they simply hang up and call back another day.  I am absolutely tired of it.  I told them I was going to report this phone number to the FCC and the guy told me, "This isn't the appropriate phone number....my number is 414-932-1146".  I called that number and it is not a valid phone number.  I have also recently gotten numerous phone calls from a D.C. area code that I have not answered and my guess is that this new number is affiliated with this scam as well.

I have no idea what to do here.

when this person called me, they said "I hope you have a good lawyer" and I said "I hope you do, too...I'm pretty sure impersonating a federal agent will get you some jail time" They hung up :)

Somebody please do something to this constant calling from tel# 202-409 6594, I get calls 6 or 7 times a day everyday...  I am being harrest by this number when I am driving when I am in a meeting , when I am busy at work...  This has got to stop!
