I have justnoticed the same thing and I see now that I've been charged this since about August.  I guess the first thing to do is call the bank.

Hi, I am being charged usd 4,95 on my credit card for something called TB* PERFECTSPEED and I do not know what this is. Anyone has the same problem?

These guys hit my bank account 4 times!  When you call the number you can't talk to a customer service rep.  There is a message to leave you email address and they will get back to you - which they don't.  I left several messages.  I have changed bank accounts and filed an affidavit for unauthorized debit card use with my bank.  A whole lot of work for nothing.

Perfectspeed - debited my account two months in a row.  On the phone with my bank now to reverse the transaction.  Hope I don't have to cancel the card - it's my primary! What a pain in the neck it would be!  I'm worried now about how they got my card info.  I'm pretty careful.  Good luck to all.  Not a lot of money $4.95 - but if they are doing this to thousands of people, they are making a killing.

I believe this falls into the secret service for law enforcement...

This is the 3rd time I have seen this deduction in my banking account.  It is not an authorized payment or debit.

What can we do to stop it?

I am being charged $4.95 each month from this entity, whomever they are.
Will report to bank and FTC.

It's a credit card scam.  They charged my card $4.95 two months in a row.  I have no idea who these people are and I haven't even used my credit card in 5 years.  Luckily AMEX gave me my money (plus late fees and interest) back!  I put a block on this merchant and will file a report with the FTC.

RUN to your Bank and stop the card used. Have the bank issue a new card and the bank will credit back the 4.99 charges to your account. It's the only way that can be stopped. Take it from me it's the only way out of this mess.
If you don't there is a good chance whom ever is doing this will make another charge and my be a BIG one. It's my advise to all that was hit with this "TB system mechanic" charge. FYI bank will put out a bulletin to stop payment only if you act fast. Good Luck

I have a charge on my credit/debit card as well.  This was included in a bunch of fraudulent activity on my account.  Someone charged over $1000 in various transactions this was among them.  I wonder if they are related.  I suggest that anyone who has this on their account to cancel the account so the same thing doesn't happen to them.

You're all idiots.  Read agreements before submitting debit card information.  You DID give these people your debit card info whether you admit it or not.  I see it all the time at the bank..."free" porn trials people never cancel, "free" software demos...it never ends.  Basically, if you sign up for a free trial of anything, read the fine print.  You're agreeing to let them charge you a monthly fee after you trial ends.

I called my credit card company (Capital One) and they had a file on System Mechanic.  The reversed the charge on my account and said they would assure me of two months reversal and would try to reverse the past six months if possible.  I have NEVER signed up for this service and it is not on my hard drive.  Heaven knows how many people are being billed $4.99/mo and don't even know it.

I've bee charged for the past 8 months for 4.95/month. I called my credit card company and they gave me the contact number of these scam b*****ds and wanted me to contact them which I did thru email Let me see how it turns out.

How does one start a class action? Maybe thats how we get our money back.

I am being charged for something I never ordered or have any idea? I am sending this complaint to the Better Business Bureau and warn others of this fraudulent activity.

The situation is clear , as per yesterday  they have refunded the money they took from my checking account .

A charge for $4.99 has shown up on my banking account.  They used either mine or my wife's debit card.  We never ordered this service.  How do I stop this from happening.

I believe this charge originated for me when I got help with a virus or renewed my McAffee Software.  Just emailed them the required info to have them cancel subscription and remove charges.  If this is not done I will be disputing the charges with my credit card comany who I already spoke with earlier.  They amazingly have an A- rating with the BBB?!  More people should definitely file a complaint if they are not getting resolution.  Here is their page.  http://www.dc.bbb.org/report.html?national=y&compid=162104423     I will most definitely do so if I don't get resolution in a timely manner.  Will keep you posted.

I got 4.99 charge on my account as well. I called the bank and told me to contact the merchant. But this ripped off merchant has the answering machine for their billing whatsoever department. And so now, I am stuck with this stupid carp this company has. They need to be reported for fooling people and trying to rip people off. These hard economic situation we are in right now, how can they do that? No conscience stupid company. I've never been to their site but I purchased a McAfee anti virus online. This is just making me sooooooo upset.
