I received a call from this number (202-459-6029) claiming that they are from Criminal Investigation Department and that I have some serious issues to calm back as soon as possible.
I called thr number, some someone by the name James Anderson answered the call and was asking for me personal information. Of course, I refused and when I asked him to provide the physical location of the business he hanged the phone.
To everyone, please be careful that there is a major scam going on. I hope that these fake ppl are caught and brought to justice to Harrassment and casuing panic attack.

Got the same message. Called back and told him he had the wrong number, he said thanks and hung up. AGH!!!!! so frustrating.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Jack Taylor from the Crime Investigation division of the IRS asking for Sandy Adwall(?).  In a very heavy accent they claimed to be sending a collection agency if I did not call them back at 202-459-6029.  As I am not Sandy, nor do I know a person of such name, clearly this smells like sun-baked, week-old chum.  

Got these calls few times and ended up blocking the number. Guess what they start calling you from a new number. You cannot do anything as they can easily get these numbers from Google Voice or some other voice over IP providers and cannot be traced.

Just got a call from "Kevin Morgan" who is apparently from the "IRS investigate department." He told my wife that I "must call him" and tried to fake an American accent but I didn't doubt that this man was South Asian. They've been trying to scam me repeatedly this week.

THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE, TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE.

Got the same message. They had a "criminal case against my identity". The guy had no clue what he was talking about. I expect a minimum intelligence for scam artists.

Scam, they are filing bogus federal and state returns. Filing electronically so they can get a refund. So far they have not been caught. Government is aware but none of them have been caught yet.

Just received a call from him and knowing this scam, decided to have a little fun with him. Tagged him along, put him on hold several times, pretended not to understand him several times and wasted a lot of his time (Mine too, but it was fun). I think finally, he picked up on the fact that I knew and was just messing with him - he said thank you and hung up the phone.

He was asking me to buy some tax vouchers from Home Depot (I've never heard of them and couldn't find any on Home Depot's website either).

Anyway, was fun while it lasted.  :-)

This officer Jackson Taylor also called me saying there is a criminal IRS warrant against me. I told him I will send the IRS after him. He has the guts to give this 2024596029 number, also gives me the address 1112 constitution ave. That is probably the IRS building. Anyway, can't someone triangulate this phone and find out where they are calling from and get these guys. He has called me multiple times. Thanks

Fake IRS calls are coming regularly. Why no one is catching them. This number exists. I had voice message and just for the sake of it, I called. It ringed and says it is IRS. What a joke?

"Hi this message is intended for amanda-it's-boo(?) hey Mister Shepherd this is investigator Officer David Martin calling you from your local Sheriff County Department and the reason to call you is in regards to a legal case a federal complaint received against you. Your name and your identity is under investigation and expressed by the way-go-charge-us(?) my crime investigation unit from an officer Max Wilson working with Federal crime enforcement down the reason with the ID number 170421. So the very second you receive my message. I want you audio retail at Tony off record to return the call on his department number which is 2024596029. I repeat 2024596029-and(?) talk with officer Max Wilson on reference to this legal case if the office feels to get a call from you then on behalf of the legal."
THIS IS THE MESSAGE I GOT. HE WAS TRYING TO COPY AMERICAN ACCENT, BUT SEEMED LIKE SOME SOUTH ASIAN VOICE. CALL CAME FROM 9087895215.

Called me on my cellphone. No message left.

Got 2 calls, saying "crime investigation department and your ID under investigation."  Did not deter when he was told that calls are recorded and passed on to local police. Go TUSA-ASH!  

this call is a scammer calling from this unreal number 2024596029. this guy calls and says we have a affidavit against you and we will take action on you etc etc.. however its a scam.. they want your information and this is there way of getting it from you by threatening you. I AM DONE WITH THESE FRICKEN PEOPLE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 2 TIMES NOW. AND THEY JUST NEVER SEEM TO END. I CANT BELEIVE THEY ARE NOT IN JAIL YET.

Got a call from this number claiming that he is Officer Jackson & asking for my husband as there is a criminal investigation going on my husband for tax evasion. When I said that send me the mail first, he said he already sent 3 times mails to my address. When I asked him what address, he tells my old address where we used to stay 2 years back. He told me to tell my husband to call him to his number & I told him we will directly call IRS number & talk to them. He immediately disconnected the phone saying as you wish.
