I unfortunately wired money to this company that said it was a financial prize grant. It seemed legit they knew a lot about me and the number was a Washington DC number.

This just dont seem right and245 through Wal-Mart or cvs 8400 lets get the truth this is great but if u get scammed someone is liable u get a dommestic abuse 15 years ago and ya can't own a gun for home protection or hunting I am gonna do this for s**** and giggles if l get ducked it just shows what a communist b***s*** puppets we arwim so pissed but I know there no free ride with pride

a Lisa Jones called, same thing...claims is with the federal trade commis.

I to receive the phone call getting a confirmation number and then having to call a Karen Jones.the phone number was 202 470-3389 I hate these people there souless  and they get everyones hopes up. I'm glad there are these forums so that people do not make mistakes huge mistakes

Total Scam. I reported to FTC Now I call this Lisa Jones 202-470-1385 incessantly. They told my grandmother she won 450,000 dollars and to wire money. She called me instead. I looked into it and told her to keep them on the hook. I've gotten like five different numbers out of them. Called the courier they said they were gonna use and he said. It's a scam don't send money. Now I change me caller ID and call her at all hours of the night when I wake up to pee.

Account financier name who's middle eastern George Williams go figure might as well be gorge Washington well I new it was a scam from all ur guys inputs on this. Matter so when he called back asking for 240 to go to American Red Cross charity I asked how to send it he stated western union I had him give me all info to send n I was informed to send it to Sanjeev kumar in Dubai UAE . After I gave him a phony a** mtcn which I got from google he informed me that it didn't go thru that's when I inform him that I know that he's a dumbass if he thinks that Dubai is in charge of American grants n I have him on recording and I submitted all info to the FBI lol which I sure as s*** did. Here's my other reason why I new it was a scam first cause of the name second United States does not call u up randomly and. Offer n e body a large sum for 240 bucks we already in debt we ain't got money to offer that to someone like me who's a divorce single mom no job in college n I can call anybody in the world from across the world  n make sure the number comes up as Washington, D.C. Ben Miller from DC - American Sweepstakes - said I won $950,000 and wanted $1,500 for insurance fee to deliver 'certified check' from Bank of America

I got a call from this number - Ben Miller, Board of trustees from the award distribution center in Wash. DC. H gave me a claim # and told me to call Las Vegas to pay insurance of $1,400 on a second prize I won in a sweepstakes that I do not remember entering. The company will pay the other half of the insurance to Jeff Davidson, working out of Nevada, who is Sr. Acct. Dir. (tel. no. 702 979 1747) to  'deliver' the certified check for $850,000 from Bank of America.

The mailman will be arriving when I pay the insurance thru western union or money gram, company located in Miami.  I asked if I could put this on my credit card/or certified check with the bank. They discussed it with their 'supervisor' and said sorry that was against the rules.

I doubt that one has to pay insurance when one wins the lottery or sweepstakes. One does have to pay taxes on the lottery. This money, they said was tax free

Got a call for 8400 from 202-666-4401... I guess these people haven't heard of the internet where you can search for scams like this

i recicied a call about the same thing saying that i was choosesn to recive an $8400 grant fron the government, i had to call back a number to give my cobfirmation number i spoke with a guy named marshell, and said to reciev it i would have go to western union and give $150 to verify that i am the right person and that the $150 would be refunded and then i would have $8550.

got a call from this number the caller in broken english said i had been picked to recive a grant check from the fed grov in the amount of 8400 hundred dollars all i had to do was western union 284 dollars to them and the money was on the way,ha ha

they called me today and said the same thing want me to give them my credit card number so I gave him a fake credit card number and then they call me back saying they couldn't get the money to me an ask him I could they get my ask me for my routing number so then I asked me for my routing number and I gave him a fake routing number and I said are you guys doing now but not but scamming us people you need to scan your own people on your own country because of Americans can't understand you forginer because you lie:

I received a call today from 312-628-1271.  I was told that I was selected to received a gov't grant of $8400 to use any way I wanted, except for things illegal.  They seemed quite adamant about that.  They had my address and everything.  I was given a grant application number...CL320.  They told me that the money would be deposited directly into my checking account.  It was free money for me.   All I needed to do was call a manager, Kelly Johnson at 202-803-4697, and confirm the transaction.  When I called Kelly, it rang and rang and eventually disconnected.   She called me back from a number that my caller ID identified as 221, then she told me that in order to receive my grant money, I would have to Western Union $130 to them first. I got scammed back in the early 90s, never again....SORRY!!

Got a call from 202-470-1385 its a scam and none of  the information they gave can be verified. The ladys that answered the phone when I called back's name was Karen Jones. The address they gave was 200 Indepence Ave Washington D.C. .

I was called today by Richard Williams and he told me i was picked for Grant money $6,400.00. He said that i can have my money in 30 minutes. Gave a confirmation number and the phone number 202-470-1385 to call as soon as i get off the phone. That i need to talk to Karen Jones and give confirmation number and name to her. She said that i need to give $210.00 before i can received the money. I can call back when i get the money she handling my case.

The number has changed. It's now a 202 777 4441 #. The first guy gives you your confirmation code and the you have to call 202-407-7229 and speak with "james miller". James placed me on hold for 5 mins and when he came back he was like...hello, who am I speaking with again...oh yes, right! Lol   My  offered amount was 8400 dollars from the federal bank of NY but I was suppose to western union them 205 dollars for charity...I gave them my pay pal card number that I receive like three days ago. I hope they don't take my three dollars out that I got for activating the card... They also called me back like three times and never said anything

I just got the call from a Jamaican sounding lady from Washington DC #2026667770! I was just not feeling good about the call and how the lady responded to my questions! Not very professional sounding! I was told I had been selected to receive an $8400 grant from Federal Government of the US for simply being a good citizen always paying my taxes on time, and not using and government relief programs! That sounded like a shady reason because I am currently on unemployment!!!!! After talking -and asking , I finally told her I was not interested, and she said "Thanks for wasting my time"!!!!!!! I was happy to do it! She seemed angry when I told her I thought this was a scam and I didn't believe her! All in all I talked to her for about 20 min!!! HA- take that scamming bi***!

Yeah, they just called me back, the first number called me 202-666-7770 and told me I qualified for about $8000 in govt grants....but I had to call 202-470-1385 and speak to Karen Jones to give her my Grant Approval number.... I left a message because she didn't answer.... then she called me back and told me I'd have the money in 35 minutes IF I first sent out a "charitable donation" for a children's education and health care relief fund (I think in Africa) of $205.  I asked if she could deduct this $205 from the $8400 she told me I was qualified for and she said "NO".  I told her I wouldn't have the $205 till I got the $8400 and she said "I'm not forcing you to take the grant, I can hold your file and you can call me back when you're ready to pay the required donation, then I can forward your grant release...."   Um.  Nice try, but no.  Told her I can't do it until I get the grant money and she said, "Well, thank you for trying, I can't force you to better your life" and hung up.....

Be VERY worried.  You need to close/cancel that account, or at least advise you bank of the situation and the scam.

I got a call today telling me that I had been selected for a Federal Grant for $8,400 they said that they needed the name of my bank and all my a/c information. That's when I got on the internet to find out that this was and is a scam. The worst part about the whole thing is that these idiots are messing with real peoples lives. And I for one do not have a lot of money so for these morons to prey on people who have nothing they should be hunted down and thrown into jail and I hope that they get everything that is coming to them. Please United States Government do your job and find these people and bring them to justice

Wanted to know if i had a credit or prepaid card to load 8400.00 of a federal grant where 1500 people are selected each year.  Gave them a card with 0 on it and some wrong info.  told me to talk to a karen jones.  if this isnt legit and there are people using the government to scam people why arent the feds or something busting these people.?
