somebody called me from phone number 202-666-3304 claiming the government was going to give me a grant of 8,400$ then they collected my bank information and told me to call another number to collect my money they told me to call2024703388 and ask for joyce weston when i called her she told me to pay a fee of 250 dollars as a donation to recieve my money then i did some research an found i wasnt alone an that many people were scamed by these people please help find and arrest these theives.

same type of call just from a different number which was (202) 666-4401...all a scam, just tell them to f**k off..I did and it actually felt pretty good

I was called by Richard with the Federal Grant Department and informed that I would be receiving free federal grant money of $8,400 and all I had to do was pay an application fee of $211 by Western Union to the Red Cross, before they could release the funds.  I told them to send me the free grant check first and I will send them the application fee payment.

They told me that I would lose out on this free money by not sending them the $211. I told him that I don't have the funds to do that because I deal in cash only.  He said thank you and have a nice day; then he hung up the phone.

They are now using the name Alex Cooper when you call the 202-470-1411

Thia number just called me last night not until this morning did I Google it to find out its a scam when the lady gave me the number to call I got through only for alex cooper totell me it was to late to call in the morning I called its now a voicemail and I can't get through I did give them my car number but its my work pay card and it only has 75 cents on it and im calling to cancel it immediately

You guys are silly. If you didn't APPLY for grant money, rest assured, you won't get any. This is a scam if I ever saw. If you want the government to give you money you have to go to them... they NEVER EVER come looking for you. This is one of those 'too good to be true' things. C'mon people... think!

They said in order to recieve my $8400 grant from the u.s. Treasurey department I had to wire them $211 .
I googled the phone number and name "alex cooper" just to find out it was a scam. I called back and told this alex cooper guy I was on to him and that I knew he was scamming me and he said thank you and good bye.

I got the same call yesterday from a guy claiming to be Andrew Williams and I immediately emailed the treasury dept. and they said it is a scam. They told me to contact my county police dept. if I have given them any of my information. so please do that and call your bank and all your credit card company .

I just  got a call from this number ( Washington D.C.) from a certain Andrew Williams   saying that the federal government is giving me a grant of $8,400.00 dollar because i have been a loyal taxpayer.. I gave him the info. he needed to wire the money like the account number and routing . When I talked to his supposed to be supervisor Joyce Weston for verification;i realized that it was a scam because she asked for $210.00 application fee for charity upfront.I knew the in my mind thatbit was a sure scam.So...I thought of giving her a dose of her own medicine... I called her again & said that insteadnof wiring the money; my brother from FBI will hand her the cash and I needed her address. I have sensed that she felt nervous; stutter and gave an address very fast that even the fastest person can get hold of; she sounded nervous and  when i asked her to repeat she said she does not have time and cut the line...conclusion: definitely a scam and beware!

I got the same call she said i paid my taxes on time for 6 months so i was intitled to a free government grant for 8,400 and all i have to do is send $210.00  to her. She said her name eas Joyce weston  i gave them my card number ,date ,and security code I canceled my card right away and didnt send them any money i hope it was a scam and note for real.

I dont know why the law doesn't do anything about this people stealing money, because till this day they are still doing this. It just happened to my dad 2 days ago, saying he needed to deposit $400 for a security deposit and what not, thank god we were able to take the money out just in time. Then yesterday they called again saying that why did he take the money out that if he didnt put it back in he was going to lose the offer and so on... why cant no one put a stop to these criminal rats!! >:l

I did the same thing but as soon as i found out it was a scam I cancled my card and got a new one. Thats the best thing to for yourself. Dont take a chance

They Called Me From this number telling me that they are from the u.s. department of grants and had won a grant for $8400.00 and what not.

i answered and everything went thru it all until they told me that i had to wire $210.00 to some account to help the poor people in other countries.. thats wen it hit me this is a scam


so i told them i had called the FBI and asked about this grant and they said that the u.s. government did not know nothing about this grant. so i said i was gonna call the CIA and they said umm we will call you back later

These people are a scam. they just want money for their poor countries.

i just got a call from these same people saying that i can get grant money of 8400 dollars if i wire them 200 dollars what type of games these people are playing who would be stupid enough to send them the money and then ms joyce talking about that the office is by the white house come on and they will be in the office on saturday and sunday ok don't even belive that crap

I got a call siad I coud get a grant from the feb gov for 8400 and to call 1-202-777-4441to get that was after they got information of my bank acct. then you get no one to answer at that phone number they give you whats the deal with that ?

I just got the same call. Not from Joyce Weston, but from a guy with an Indian accent telling me about that money I just won from the Treasury of The United States Government. He only asked for my card information (zero dollars in there LOL) and he happened to have all of my actual information (address, phone number...). He then gave me a phone number of that Joyce Weston and told me to call her for follow ups. I just gave her a call, but only got a voice message asking me to leave a message. Is this really tue? :/

I have been getting  a call from the us government grant dept from the national treasure dept promising 8400 tax free money to do with what i wish spoke with Nigal Young  was given a a routine # confirmation number and was to speak to Joyce Weston to get this money in 45 min. I called my bank, the police dept , bank association fraud dept . Its a fraud dont give them any info and report it asap stop these thieves. I work hard for my money free money always sounds good but its to good to be true.

I got a us grant for $8400 and they said I have to give 200 dollars to get it.
