Got a call from this Indian man with an accent. I think he said he was calling from Portland and from Globex?. Looked here first. He asked for me. He wanted to connect me with some other person selling office supplies. Told him I was looking on-line at all the entries regarding his phone number and was definitely no interested in anything he was calling about...

I am so confused after reading this other complaints..
I got a call from this number at my office, I am the office manager here so I picked up and they asked for me. I said speaking, he didn't say anything, so i said Hello this is her - and he hung up. When I called the number back (slightly weirded out by this) - it says it's a design company called Barron Designs. Apparently this number is forwarding to a legitimate company with a 1-800 number. I am beyond confused.

I received a call from someone who claimed to represent a company called Globex. He claimed to have a package to deliver to me from TransUnion.  He had my name and company physical street address and said that they were trying to send me a confirmation email, but he obviously had the incorrect email address and I refused to give it to him or confirm the real email address.  He insisted that they needed to confirm my email address to be able to send me the package, and I told him:

1) I was definitely not expecting any package from TransUnion, and
2) He should not need to confirm my email address, in order to successfully deliver the "package"

I hung up.

I was called from the 202-470-2603 number and the person, this time with an Indian accent, said he was from DHL and he was  trying to deliver a package to our company's CEO.  He wanted our address and the exec's email address, which he read to me, verified.  He said the supposed package was "very important" and named  a business that our company has never dealt with.  He said in order to make the delivery, the info had to be supplied.  I refused and told him if he were in fact from DHL and had our address, there was no reason a package could not be delivered. This is most definitely a scam as he's told others in the comments below that he's from UPS.

Just got a call and they said they were from the United States Post Office trying to deliver a package to me.  Had the corporate office address and I told them the caller I.D. did not say the post office.  He insisted he was the post office just trying to deliver a package and I said who is it from and he had some Trust Corp name or something like that.  I just hung up and tried to call back and it says it is not a working number but yet it call a business??

The calls received here are all the same: Men with Indian accents requesting various managers because they have packages to deliver and want to verify the correct address.  On many occasions, the connection is so bad, I can barely understand them, never mind the accents.  I've gotten fed up enough to say that we don't give out employee information, and then I hang up.  I have other callers waiting in queue and cannot waste my time on this stuff.

I have received numerous call from 202-470-2603, a caller with an Indian accent only asks for Barry Gannon, says he has a package for him, and needs to verify address. When I tell them there is no one here by this name and ask why they are calling, they always hang up and call back...probably thinking they will get someone else answering our phones. Nope. Just me! Annoying!

These people are Scammers, Phishers and most of all LIARS!  They are trying to get executive management names, numbers, & e-mails from any company they can. HEAVY Asian Accents and almost always claim to be calling from UPS or will say United postal service. You can usually hear the background noise as they are calling from a huge call center somewhere in Asia/China. They will lie when asked if they are an actual UPS employee (No REAL employee from UPS has ever called me to verify any e-mails or addresses or phone #'s). I always ask for the Tracking Number in a Firm yet sarcastic way and they will either get offended and say that you are not the recipient and they cannot give you the tracking number or they will just simply hang up. Just keep asking for the tracking number and eventually they will hang up but you will receive at least 1-2 more calls from same center with different voices and sometimes different tactics.

just got a call from this number, claiming to be from UPS and wanted to verify a coworkers name and address for a package they are holding.  he wanted to release it, "dispatch it for delivery" and if so and so wanted to refuse it, he could once it arrived.  I was like, uh, you are calling from UPS?  What is this for?  I've never gotten a call from UPS asking to deliver a package.  Pfft.  He laughed at me and said he would love to tell me what was in the package but that was not information he had.  Stupid.

I had the same thing only he said he was from DHL. He had my full name and obviously work phone number - and wanted to verify my title as well as email address. I asked him who the package is from (he said it was a small envelope) and he stated it was from "Ameresco". I asked him why he needed my email address if he has a package with my name it? I told him to just send it along. He said that he needed to email me the tracking information. I answer telephones for a living and have been dealing with BS calls for ten years of my life so I knew he was a fraud and was just messing with him at this point. I told him if he has an envelope with my name and address on it - he could just go ahead and send it along. There is not need to provide me with tracking information unless there is a problem with the delivery...and guess what happened next? HE HUNG UP ... lol

He's called my business 3 times now. claiming to be Globex transport in Canada, UPS shipping department and FedEx. Well, needless to say We are having fun with this guy now. amazingly he stayed on hold for 20 minutes. I was able to get him to swear in 2 languages at me the next time. And finally I was able just to get him to hang up by saying "Hey remember me". I don't know if he will call back but I hope so.

Event Reminder
They called our office looking for an employee, saying they needed to verify the address to mail an invitation for a Cisco Technologies seminar. The number they called from was spoofed at 00442024702603.
Fortunately, none of the info they tried to "verify" was correct.
