I received a call today from the" government" saying that I will receive a money gram for 7000 dollars. I think it is a scam.

I received a call from a lady offering me a government grant for $7000. I was given a grant verification number, FK771, and a number to call back, 202-470-3243. I was told I could collect the money into my account, a prepaid visa, or a money gram. I smelled a scam. People are crazy!

I received a call a few days ago they did not ask for me but a family member. Then today April 24 I got two calls one a male and one a female. After I asked them for their company they hug up.

called me saying that I will receive some free money from the government but I have to buy a greendot money pack and I need to put $300 for me to receive my money which makes no sense so how is it free if I have to send the money to send me my money it sounds like a big scam
