just got the call, so glad I research first.its a scam! freaking jerks

I recieved this same grant approval call.  They said I would recieve $9,200 to help pay my bills.  They wanted my banking infomation.  I gave them the information for an old prepaid visa that I no longer use and has no money on it.  When I called the approval number with the code they wanted to verify, they asked me to send $153 to the red cross.  I told them they are scam all over the internet and they hung up on me.

They told me that I was approved for $9,200. from the federal government to help pay bills.  Never have top pay back.  They wanted personal bank info that I would not give them.

just called and said my husband was approved for a grant of 9200 and he dont have to pay it back he is on the phone right now with the lady.  They said they work for the government.   The number is out of Washington, DC

Yes it is  a scam. If you pay the money then they will say that they need you to pay more. DON'T DO IT.

I recieved a call today from 202-470-6035 and the lady "alice parker" A.K.A SCAM ARTIST said i was getting a gov. grant of 9,200 as long as i sent in my 140.00 doller processing fee. i called washington D.C's scam hotline and they said never ever ever will a government grant agancy ask you to wire money to them via western Union. this number is a scam please what ever you do do not give them your bank account info. i am glad i called that hot line. the number is 1-800-518-4726. call them if you ever have any doubts. thank you.

I just got the same camm for $9,200 but they wanted 140.00. I gave a number to an old prepaid card I don't use. I'm dying to see if they try to process it..full of BS

He called and said he was calling from US grants to  give me a once in a lifetime grant that i had been picked to receive $9,200 then gave me an approval code so I called the number and in order to get the money I have to pay $140 and once I said  I did not have they told me  to call back when  I have  it . i Just recieved a call telling me that i was one in a mllion people who qualified for a government grant. they gave me my confermation number and told me to call 202 470 6035. Alice Focker told me that i needed to donate 140 dollars to the troops before i could recieve my money in my bank account. but they already had my ssn and my adress and my bank card number.. these people are scamming the government's good name to do so.

Sally call restricted n said her company was US Financial Department giving me a once in a lifetime grant that i had been picked to receive $9,200 just had to pay $160 at the nearest western union n then call her on this # 202-470-6035 n i would then sign a legal document n within 13-16 minutes my $9,200 would be in my account! Fake or what!

i recieved a call today staing i was approved for 9200 i was told to send them 140.00 to get the money sent to my bank i told them it was illegal to send money to get money how is these places using the govt name to try to scam people something needs to be done to all of these kind of people that are doing this to people
