just to be clear, these types of calls are not from Google...they are from companies that claim they can help businesses do better on Google. just didn't want anyone to spend too much of your valuable time calling Google because it won't do anything for you. there are many scandalous companies that even claim to be from google, but google rarely does any telemarketing, and if they do, they can easily provide proof in a hurry that they are actually from Google.

p.s. i know this, because i own a company who has to deal with these robo-calling, scamming companies on a daily basis. we help businesses get real reviews from their actual clients on google and the other major review sites, but we do it legitimately and without robocalls, etc. i personally get irritated when we get lumped in with these scammers, which is why i spent a little time posting this. maybe if the info helps someone, we can put a little good karma out there and not get lumped in with these jokers. www.trackbackinc.com

Yeah, I got one today, but like some of you, I don't answer their calls and quite frankly, I don't even want them to leave a message.SOOOOOO-once the phone rings and I don't recognize the number, I simply click the answer button and them the hang up button! That stops the ringing and I go on with my business. That way, they can't get an answer or leave a message! WORKS FOR ME!!

Buy yourself a "Digitone Call Blocker" and you can block entire area codes simply and easily.  (Just Google the words in quotes.)  I have never regretted making that purchase. :)

I installed "Call Control" App and this number was blocked. Just checked the log to see if it was really a missed call or a spam call.

Hang up call - no message - tried to return the call and no one picked up.

Illegal robocall called me at work with the same get your business listed on Google scam as mentioned in an earlier post.  Press 1 to speak to a representative or press 2 to be removed.  The dumb recording hangs up before you can do either.  Caller ID says Linx Communications.  File FCC complaints as these robocalls are illegal.

I just got this call. These guys are dirtbags. Please shut them down. This makes google look bad, and i know its not actually google.

Didn't recognize phone number. Didn't answer and no message left.

They called my office - I picked up knowing full well it was some kind of scam.  Sadly, no one was there.  Now days, I like effing with these telemarketers.

BTW, my Uniden office phone does not even ring when a blocked call come in.  
Call blocking phones automatically block "out of area," "private calls" and "unknown numbers."

I thought the caller said they were from Goog Gl Plugs and that they were selling Butt Plugs.  The person sounded like they had a mouthful of Plugs, so I could not understand them very well, so I could be wrong about the Plugs.

They claimed that they were from Google +.  When I questioned them, they indicated that they did not work for Google.  They wanted me to use their services to get ranked on the web.

I called the guy out for being a scam. He told me my mother sucked goats. And went on to call me loser. I want track these people down and curb them.

Got 15 calls from them today, finally called the number back, same recording, got mad and started punching
all the buttons about 30 times, i called the number back and did the same thing again, i did this a total of five times. Haven't got another call from their computor since, don't know you might want to try the same thing, worked for me

Does anyone actually have a business setting with Google or is this dry calling of the worst kind. We need to all band together and get a petition started to have our phone companies to allow us the option to block these callers, and any and all others, from being to call us if we solict our phone carrier to do so. This should B the right of every red blooded American. Let's change th wEorld

This is yet another incarnation of a criminal scam to get your personal information. If Google wanted to contact you, they would use your business e-mail address.

This business isn't really Google. Just an Automated service trying to rip business owners off in regards to there Google Local Listing.  I work with local businesses for a living with internet marketing and Local Search Engine Ranking.  I went through all there hoops and then started asking them questions and they just hung up on me.  Just another over priced sales call.
