More tele-maggots. According to the "caller complaints" website, the number was a fake. All you gotta do is call this 800 number to find out how to get rich quick! I'm sure they're above board, look at their business ethics from what you know about them already. Recorded message claims I asked for the information (which is bull). But did offer an opt-out option at the end of the pre-recorded spiel. We'll see if there's a backlash from opting out. Spoofing Caller ID should be a felony. It could be very damaging and it's identity theft as far as I'm concerned. Write your congressman.

Called twice in one day. No message. When I called back there was an option to opt out and I did, yet they are still calling me!

Vermin called with automated message - don't even have the decency to have someone actually speak to you.  Instructions to press 1 to accept their offer of extended car warranty or press 2 to be deleted from the follow up list.  I think this is probably like email spam - phishing for numbers.

got a call today at 12:30, when I called back there was a recorded message that said they must have called me in error as they only call commercial or business lines (how do they know who I am?) and to press 1 to go on their do not call list.  I have blocked my number, but the system still said "thank you". My call display said "district of Columbia".  Really?

I got to talk to a guy who answered "Hello", I asked why the machine phoned me, I couldn't remember and he asked if it was about getting warranty on my vehicle.    I said that sounded familiar.  He took a few details, and then I asked him nicely what the name of his company was?    He went quiet and slammed the phone to hang up on me.   He wasn't phoning from a telemarketing office cause I could hear his vocal acoustics and nobody else in his large bedroom size room.

I received a call from this number today ... automated message about my vehicle warranty about to expire.  I pressed '1' to speak to a person.  A male voice answered "Hello, How can I help you?'.  I said you called me about the warranty and that I may be interested.  I asked few questions starting with 'which vehicle are you calling about?' ... he hung up in a hurry.

I got this call today about the car warranty. They've called me 5 times, at 2 different numbers, my sisters cell phone twice, my moms cell once, and her father-in-laws cell phone once. They also called my sisters workplace, she spoke to a person and told them that they were going to sue him for tying up the business line and he promptly hung up lmao. Today my sister spoke to him again and told him we were tired of getting this call and that we were going to sue him for harrassment, he hung up lol what a do***ebag.

I received a call from this number moments ago. The message said it was a courtesy call from the Conservative Book Club about an upcoming event. The message apparently then stopped. (I am a member of the CBC, so it may have been a legitimate call.)

Caller display shows missed call drom Washington DC #202-495-7127.  On state and national caller do not call lists but the employees here seem to have gotten around it somehow and just do as they are told.  Isn't there a way to prevent these unwanted calls???

Re: Auto warranty expiring
Agent's name: Jarid

We are on the Canada do not call list, we filed a complaint about a month ago with the Canada do not call list people - and still they cal.

Which is worse???? - trying to get these s-o-bs to stop calling at inopportune times or getting the Canada do-not-call list people to go after them - penalties are supposed to be very severe (scare the hell out of me) - but only if there is action!!!!!

And we do NOT own a vehicle with a warranty that is about to expire.

I read the above posts, please be careful about pressing 1 as they ask you to do. If I read this right, they stated you would be removed from their calling list. I don't trust them at all, and don't believe pressing 1 would removed anyone. I DO NOT ANSWER any more calls from this tel number.

I also have been getting many calls from this number saying my car warranty is about to expire.  today, I pressed 1 to talk to a rep, only I started asking him questions: What company was this? what vehicle manufacturer are they associated with? The rep got very defensive and hung up on me!  Hopefully that will be the end of it!

It is 9 Mar 09, at 9:23PM. This number called many times that I did not answer, and once before that I did.  The recording says the warranty on my vehicle may have expired, and it is my "final notice" to re activate it.  Last time I answered, an operator said it was "Warranty's Are Us", and that they could re activate my coverage.  Then I ask, well, what vehicle do I own?  The fool tried to tell me he could not give that out over the phone because of privacy regulations, but I should give him my VIN code, and he would look it up!  He told me that they were the company that put the warranties on new vehicles!  I said, Oh, so if I buy a new Toyota, or a new Pontiac, the Warrenty is with you people?  He hung up!!!!  Tonight, when I noticed many calls from this number on my callers list, I suddenly received another!  So I answered, and got the same message that my Warreny was about to expire, blah blah, and it was my final notice!  I pressed 1, a phone rang, and an operator said, "How can I help you?"  I ask why the message kept saying, "This is your final notice", and before I got to say because you idiots already called me several times... he hung up.

Terry :)

I'm from Manitoba as well and just got this number calling a half hour ago. They told me that my vehicle's warranty has expired and I should extend this. When I asked which vehicle this pertains to, he hung up! LOL!

All I know is that once I find out who just one of these a** clowns are that call from ANY of these kinds of numbers, I'm sparing no expense and I'm travelling to where they are, kicking open the door of their building, office...or whatever....and shooting as many of them as I can.

Hey.. not only have I called it back, but I pressed the "key" to be taken off the list.  It has to do with new financing for your business- so they say.  Yet, they continue to call!!!  So Annoying!

They told us our car warranty was expiring and we could renew with them by giving our credit card #.  We told them that if there was a problem our local dealership would call us.  A few days later I saw a story on the news about this and it's a scam for them to get your credit card info.  Don't give out your credit card #!!!
