I sweet, I got the same call! I told him to send me a check and he said the federal government doesn't write checks anymore! I laughed at him because I'm a Veteran and I get checks from them for veteran reimbursement on milage when I go to appointments. Don't tell me they don't send checks! Gave me the number of 202-499-1468 and told me to ask for Jordan Coleman. Caller had a thick Indian accent and said his name was Jeff Taylor. He wanted my address so I gave it to him. Wanted my name but I told him that he's already got it since he called me! Messed up people. Caller ID on my phone said 00000000000000. Go figure.

I got the same call just 20 mins ago but the caller already had my credit card info and said he would deposit 7,000 within 45 mins of the call but I had to call back Jordan Colman at 202-499-1468 with a grant approval number of ST852. Then Jordan Coleman (both indian speaking people) told me I had to Western union $250.00 into an account and would have to call him back when I got to western union to find out where to wire the money to. When I told him I didn't have 250 dollars he said the bank required the fee to get the 7 thousand. I again explained we are a family on a limited income and did not have that kind of money so he hung up on me. The card information they had was my government issued child support card that the state of Florida sends for you to receive your payments onto. Now I have to report my card stolen? The question is was the child support websites hacked?

I got a call from a man with a heavy accent stating that I was going to get $7000 from the government to use anyway that I wanted. He gave me the number 202-499-1468 and told me to ask for Jordon Coleman and I would definitely get the money. All I have to give him was a checking account number or a 16 digit debit card number to recieve this money. This is a SCAM. Do they think people are crazy...Why would they call you and their number show up as 000-000-0000

?Free Government Grants?: Don?t Take Them For Grant-ed
?Because you pay your income taxes on time, you have been awarded a free $12,500 government grant! To get your grant, simply give us your checking account information, and we will direct-deposit the grant into your bank account!?
Sometimes, it?s an ad that claims you will qualify to receive a ?free grant? to pay for education costs, home repairs, home business expenses, or unpaid bills. Other times, it?s a phone call supposedly from a ?government? agency or some other organization with an official sounding name. In either case, the claim is the same: your application for a grant is guaranteed to be accepted, and you?ll never have to pay the money back.
Don?t give out your bank account information to anyone you don?t know. Scammers pressure people to divulge their bank account information so that they can steal the money in the account. Always keep your bank account information confidential. Don?t share it unless you are familiar with the company and know why the information is necessary.
Don?t pay any money for a ?free? government grant. If you have to pay money to claim a ?free? government grant, it isn?t really free. A real government agency won?t ask you to pay a processing fee for a grant that you have already been awarded ? or to pay for a list of grant-making institutions. The names of agencies and foundations that award grants are available for free at any public library or on the Internet. The only official access point for all federal grant-making agencies is www.grants.gov.
Look-alikes aren?t the real thing. Just because the caller says he?s from the ?Federal Grants Administration? doesn?t mean that he is. There is no such government agency. Take a moment to check the blue pages in your telephone directory to bear out your hunch ? or not.
Phone numbers can deceive. Some con artists use Internet technology to disguise their area code in caller ID systems. Although it may look like they?re calling from Washington, DC, they could be calling from anywhere in the world.

I received a call from 000-000-0000. It was an indian woman telling me that i qualified for a $7000 grant from the federal government that was coming from the federal reserve in NY. It was a grant called "loyal citizen grant". I asked to speak her supervisor and she put on an asian sounding man. He told me all I had to do was give him any account number either checking, savings, or credit card number. Then the $7000 would be transferred to that account. I told him I didn't feel safe giving my account information. He then told me to call Jordan Coleman at 202-499-1468.

this guy keeps calling my number. Im sure so many older and young college people have fallen for this scam. it needs to be stopped and Jordan who ever he is needs to be convicted and made to pay back all the people that he has scammed, including the Indian guy and lady thats making the calls in his behalf..the gave two conflicting stories about recieving Government money, only to get some false bank card info from me..lol they provided a call back number and uses a Washington D.C. address to sound believable but i was curious so i tried to call back..low and behold the lines stayed busy! so i know others are being suckered...like i suckered them. but just imagine the people that was niave. its just sad.

This call was from a restricted number. Foreign accent from lady supposedly in D.C. who transferred me to another foreign accent male "Jordon Coleman with the Department of Treasury in New York" claiming I was to receive a $7,000 grant. I'm in college full time so thought YAY! until they asked for my bank info. My question to them was why is everyone foreign if you are big wigs with the Dept. of Treasury? We have to report this stuff if want them to stop.

I received a call from a woman with a heavy foreign accent. She connected me with her supervisor who told me I would receive a government grant of $7000--no strings attached, no money will be required for me to receive. I was to call 202-499-1468 and ask for Frank Miller with the grant conf. # AB 507. He asked for my bank account info, name and routing no.
At this point I went online and found info re. this phone number and told him I was not interested.

Indian guy called and said I won a $7000 grant to pay off student loans. He asked for my debit card information to direct deposit the money into my account. I almost did it, but it just didn't seem right. They called back again and left a message telling me to call back 202-499-1468 to get information about my grant money. Has to be a scam.
| GEBOW 2012-04-11 20:07:17 Unknown |
Indian man called and said that I had won a $7000 Grant. He said that all I had to do was send $160.00, by wire to the address he would supply. I asked that he trust me and send the $7000 first and I would then send the $160.00. He hung up on me. I guess he didn't think I was trust worthy enough. Oh well, go figure.
