I received a call from this number stating that they were the IRS and that I was due a refund.  When I challenged them to prove that they were the IRS, the person became very aggitated and told me they would cancel my refund.

Ditto here to all the above complaints.

Had a voicemail from this number claiming to be the IRS and that I had a refund owed to me but that I had to verify my credentials. I didn't call back. Seems like a scam.

Caller stated that I was entitled to a refund from the IRS, and further stated that there was a penalty amount associated with filing an incorrect return. That penalty needed to be submitted via a Green Dot MoneyPak at a 7/11, K-Mart, or CVS location from the sales clerk, and must be received prior to refund amount. Caller stated that refund check could be sent electronically to bank account or shipped via FedEx. I requested that check be shipped to address on file. Caller stated again that penalty must be received today, or refund is nullified. I asked if this was legitimate, and requested his supervisor. The caller hung up upon this request.

They just called my 13 year old son and said the same thing to him

I RECEIVED A LOT CALLS FROM THAT NUMBER  WITH THE SAME PERSON BUT IM NOT A SILLY PERSON WHEN I STARTED ASKED QUESTION THEY HANG OUT I CALLED AGAIN AND JUST THE MACHINE ANSWER WELL BE CAREFULL GUYS PLEASE THIS PEOPLE MAKE CALLS JUST TO GET MONEY FROM US I HOPE THE FBI CAN GET THAT PEOPLE

Received a call from this group yesterday!  VERY suspicious as they "claim" to be the IRS - except he kept saying "Internal Revenue Services" - as in PLURAL Services...  LOL

I have a $2000+ refund coming and ALL I have to do is verify some information and then pay a FINE of $100+...  Hmmm - Usually the IRS does THAT math for us, do they not???  When I questioned that fact, he hung up on me!  Scary part?  He read off my SSN AND my checking account number - I have NEVER used my checking account number online for ANYTHING!!!

i just got the same call about the same amount. dont you think that if it was from the IRS the amount wound be different? The IRS would send out a letter not pre recorded message from a computer back in the 80's.

I recieved this pre recorded message stating that I was going to get my refund back to call back this number to verify my information.

Have called me with  messages that I am getting a $2,000 refund from the IRS--and as soon as I call and verify credentials I will receive it.  When I call back--there is no answer.---Faud, Fraud, Fraud

I recieved a call on my work phone, it was a recorded message that I had a $2000 and something refund.  They funny thing is, I'm paying back owed taxes, so if it's really the IRS, I would think they would just credit to what I owe, right???

I got this same call and sounds to me they are from some foreign country trying to get our indentity so they can sell it to someone else, they have some nerve, dont give personal info about yourself to anyone on the phone.

I got the same call this morning, when I returned this fools calls he gave me the address to where I should send my $150 by western union. I called the fbi and they told me place a complaint on the website, and to make sure that I include all the information that the representative gave me and they will investigate it.

I got the same calll saying I was owed a refund of $2173.50, and they needed to verify personal information. Well, the IRS already has the information needed. So please do not give your info to anyone from this number!!!! Please report them to the IRS I did!!!

If the IRS wants to send you money, they'll mail you a check.

I got one and the guy hung up on me when I asked questions. As always -- do not give out personal, bank information, etc. over the phone to anyone to anyone who calls YOU. This is likely a way these guys can get your information to commit fraud against you or identity theft.

Yes, I just got ONE of THOSE calls from some bimboe.  What really is a JOKE is that if they really were frm the IRS, they already have your soc. sec. number!!!   What jerks...thx...patty

I get the same call all the time. I even talked to someone from this number one time and they gave my address and bank name that I have never used on my tax returns. I also had changed my address on the last tax return so they had an old address.

I called the number back and it says they're from the IRS and I have a refund in the amount of $2173 I need to call about. So I called the IRS and they said they don't call they send out letters

Say thye are with the IRS and that I made error on my tex reture and they want to give me a refune
