Why am I getting these calls every few days?
The same voice finally comes on so I hang up.
I also am on the do not call list and should not be bothered by these calls evenings or ANYTIME.

Hi - I work at Alliance for Justice, and I can confirm that this is not one of our phone numbers. We do not run robocalls of any kind, or any calls on this topic.

Foolish if you think Obama would not call if he thought you weren't in his pocket.  Apparently you would prefer his Officials in school telling your 4 year old what too eat and managing every other aspect of your life.  Apparently too Obama doesn't care what you think.  Bliss in ignorance.

Alliance For Justice is a very large and powerful umbrella lobbying group for, to quote their own website:

"Alliance for Justice is a national association of over 100 organizations, representing a broad array of groups committed to progressive values and the creation of an equitable, just, and free society. AFJ works to ensure that the federal judiciary advances core constitutional values, preserves human rights and unfettered access to the courts, and adheres to the even-handed administration of justice for all Americans. It is the leading expert on the legal framework for nonprofit advocacy efforts, providing definitive information, resources, and technical assistance that encourages organizations and their funding partners to fully exercise their right to be active participants in the democratic process."

Now, their own characterization of, " ...  progressive values and the creation of an equitable, just, and free society. ... " most assuredly does NOT sound like any conservative or Republican affiliated organization.  It rather blatantly sounds more like liberal-oriented umbrella group.

So - it might be wise to apply the old criminal investigatory advice about "follow the money" and the even older adage "Cui bono ("To whose benefit?", literally "as a benefit to whom?").
What's the end result of such "robo calls?"  It angers almost everyone who gets one.
Who do the calls claim to be from?  Religious groups opposed to gay marriage or referring to Republican presidential contenders (Romney, Santorum, et al).
So - if the result of the calls is to prompt recipients to OPPOSE the ostensible position of the callers, the callers are opposing gay marriage, and mentioning Republican candidates by name ... who might "benefit" from such calls?

I think the self-proclaimed "progressive" agenda of the Alliance For Justice might be a fairly clear indication of who/what is more likely the sponsor of these calls.

It's a political survey call. yes or no questions, roughly 15-20 of them. took me 2 minutes to complete, but hopefully they won't call back since I answered them. Questions like; if your choices for president were between the republican candidates, would you vote for Newt Gingrich? Would you vote for Ron Paul? etc. etc. Are you against gay marriage? Are you in a better situation than you were 4 years ago? Blah, blah, blah...

Just got one of these robo calls - it had nothing to do with gay marriage or the Catholic Church ("the Catholic Church" doesn't do robo calls, FYI - not sure who called the bigot above, but I'm pretty certain it wasn't Vatican City). But this was a push-poll, which to my knowledge isn't legit (can't push the desired response within the question for a candidate like they did). There was no identification as to who originated the call; returning a call to the number only led to an error message from Verizon and the whole thing reeks of a drive by. News flash, politicians: this kind of thing upsets voters. Knock it off!

This number appears to currently be used by various of Brian Burch's "catholicvote.org"/"fidelis" religious-political organizations to carpet-bomb areas with specifically Republican robocalls. Currently spending some of their money to pay for attacking Maine with several-times-per-day anti-gay-marriage robocalls due to some sort of referendum on the subject currently going on.

Survey
the caller id had us rsch rspnds I answered and it was a robo call asking if I was a registered voter in NJ, after I answered it then went on to say "then you agree marriage should be between only 1 man and 1 woman?" when I said "NO!" it ended the call, if you are gonna bother people at home have the balls to use humans to push your hatred so I at least would get the satisfaction of telling them to p****off

Has called relentlessly and interestingly with a variety of messages.  It took a lot of digging to untangle but this is what appears to be a false flag operation put on by the Alliance For Justice at 11 Dupont Circle, Second Floor, Washington DC 20036 (202)822-6070.  The Alliance is funded by the Open Society Institute, Tides Foundation, Streisand Foundation, and the Turner Foundation among many others.

I don't think this is a legit political organization. If anything it is someone pretending to be just to p*ss folks off. Note that the message is never the same. Note also what effect it is having. My guess is this is Anonymous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_%28group%29) trying to create some chaos (and doing a nice job of it too)

they have called me every frickin day for a week, one time three times in one day with their hate agenda against same sex marriage. If they put this much effort into their own marriages proving to me that somehow heterosexuals do a better job, then I might at least listen to this crap. I have been on the do not call list for years and these idiots are completely pestering me. No one has pulled this before.

This number is NOT for a survey-it is from an organization supporting CON-servative Republicans. I have received four calls in four days asking me to "protect the American family" and to vote for Santorum in our state Republican caucus. I AM A REGISTERED DEMOCRAT!
