I just received the same call though it was difficult to hear and very sinster in nature.  Call back said their mailbox was full.  Very unsettling.

Just found out that you can go here to report the scam to the IRS: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

I received exactly the same recorded message as yours. The name they left was garbled (intentionally?) and when I checked the call log on my phone, I was the source location was Washington, D.C. (I'm sure this scares a lot of folks). When I tried to call the number back, it just rang and rang (as if the IRS doesn't have any kind of automatic answering system that requires you to push dozens of numbers to get to the person you're trying to reach. I REALLY wanted to connect to a real live person so I could listen to their attempt to scam me, someone immune to their BS. What worries me more is that there are lots of people out there that would fall for this...how do we get rid of them? I'm sure the people that get scammed by them aren't researching the number on the net and finding boards like this. I'll try reporting them to the real IRS but I'll probably get lost in their auto-number routing maze.

This appears to be another IRS scam phone call.
On 6/12/14, 8:22 AM we received a voice message from 202-506-8045. First part of recorded message was cut off. Here is the second part of the message:
?and retain an attorney if you return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. I?m Officer Heather Grave(?) from the Internal Revenue Service?and the hotline to my position is 202-506-8045. I repeat, it?s 202-506-8045. Don?t disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you. Good bye and take care.
