I received a message from 202-506-9095 claiming to be IRS, message cut off so I didn't really get the details. Womans voice,not accented that I could tell. Traces back like this number to Beltsville Maryland,Ymax. Could this be same set up?

A man named "Joseph Daniel" called my house twice in the space of a couple of hours claiming to be from the IRS. He left the number as his IRS 'hotline' and said there were deficiencies in my tax return. Heavy accent, and it was obvious that English was not his first language. After those two calls though, he went silent.

nothing against the Indian people, but it just seems that this s*** is like a bad Bollywood acting.

It is a scam operated out of India. With a very heavy Indian accent and said he put a warranty out for my arrest. Now folks the key word here is WARRANTY!! LOLMF , these are definitely upset jobless India Recruiters.



Heavy Indian accent man officer James turner. Asked him who the US president was he said Thomas Jefferson,,, WTF, Ok so I asked what address they have in order to send the "cops" over to arrest me? the reply was my address listed on my resume (which is a PO BOX) these are definitely upset and jobless India Recruiters.

this outfit is using magic jack to forward calls to some rat hole in India - Big scam, funny how "Linda" and "John" and "Abigale" can barely speak (or read) the language.

Recieved a call stating there was issues with my taxes..and legal action could be taken.

This number called me this morning and left a choppy message telling me this was the IRS and I needed to call the number back to avoid making any allegations against me. I tried to call the number back and got a man on the phone that I couldn't understand because the connection was so choppy. Told him I couldn't understand him so he hung up. When I tried the number back, it was busy!

I called towelhead back over 100 times thru the day, i hate thieves and man, he hated me after that.  I tormented the living crap out of him.  I am sure he didn't make a dime that day.  
I told him if he wants to scam Americans he needs to learn proper english to do so, how can he run a scam when he sounds like he just fell off the boat?
I asked him for his social security number over and over, also about him sending me money, that if he didnt pay i was coming to his door with the police.
I talked about his country and how they crap in a hole...
Then when he would cuss back i would say, "i cant understand you" over and over, i would say are you saying F*** You?  Lets sound that out, i would talk about vowels, forming words, then he would hang up, and i would call him back, he would take his phone off the hook for a bit, by the time he put it back, i was calling again, i had other people calling him to...we would use different voices, all pretending we were scared of the IRS and how can we pay our bill, that they had called us, i kept giving him fake credit card numbers and info, i kept saying i was scared and that i was forgetting my credit card numbers, he would try and help me to remember, and just when he thought he had a real fish, BAM!  We would start laughing at him. Howling!  

It was hilarious!  I had a blast and me and my friends were laughing so hard, we were crying!

Actually he was most likely located in India.   They do what they please and know themselves to be bullet-proof.   Only way you can protect yourself is with a call blocker.   And sometimes that doesn't work all that well since they spoof so many numbers.

Yes, I've noticed that, they try to use some sort of voice distorter but you can still here the mistakes in their English as well as the stupidity of the scam.

I got the call mid day and got totally freaked out. So I try to call back a dozen times and it's busy busy. I thought that was weird cuz the it's just puts you on hold they don't give a busy signal like that. I google the number and realize it's BS. Now I'm really pissed cuz that call really rattled me.i start calling that number like every five minutes. Finally guy picks up and I told him I was agent Ronald so and so with the United States department of justice. Told him I was following up a few hundred complaints that he was using this phone number to impersonate an irs agent and that every phone call he had placed would be counted as a felony. Told him I new he was a naturalized citizen and unfortunately for him the remedy the United States government has in place for individuals that had become naturalized citizens and engaged in these types if crimes was deportation and that his citizenship would be rescinded. Guy hung up on me.

I got the same voice messages from "Joseph Daniels" stating exactly what is said up above & he threatened me with getting a criminal lawyer. Who says before "any legal allegations take place anyway?  It was scary  he knew my name and I will be reporting it!

Received called from 2025069044 pretending to be from the IRS. Indian accent with American name Robert Jones.  Stated will file legal actions.  Definetely a fraud.  Be aware

Scam call from an Indian man pretending to be an IRS auditor. Told him I am an attorney and he could contact me through my office. Told me the sheriff would be at my house in half an hour...right, on a Saturday!
What a scam...and stupid!

It is not weird that they know your full name with internet people can find a lot of information.   We are living in a world that has not privacy anymore!!!

I got the same call from 202-506-9044. asking me to call back for IRS stuff.

I got this call at 02:31 PM 04/24/2014 Pacific Time (according to my phone log), a woman named Heather with no accent claimed that she is IRS official, blah, blah, blah,... I just hung up the phone.

Just got an IRS SCAM CALL from 202-506-9044. It was a recording claiming to be from the IRS demanding a call or legal action will be taken. The message asked that the number be called and at the prompt to dial the #1 to be connected to an IRS agent. SCAM.

We received a call today from "Officer Heather" who left a message on our home machine that urged us to call the 202-506-9044. The voice was computer-generated. Definitely a scam!

I received a call from this number.. 3 calls back to back. Very strong Indian accent. Could not understand what he was saying, but did say he was calling regarding a IRS deficiency... Tried calling the number back but got a busy signal. Apparently he doesn't know that the IRS never calls anyone. They send letters....

I received a call on my cell phone from 202-506-9044 from a man "Paul White" with a middle-eastern accent saying that I or my attorney should call him back immediately. Having had received such a call a few weeks ago on my home phone from a man with a similar accent and from the San Francisco area, I realized it was another scam call and didn't return it.

202 506 9044.  Fake IRS "Officer Hannah" agent.  I guess from reading the comments on here about the thick Indian accents, they wised up and started using a computerized robotic voice, as if that's any more convincing.  Hilarious.

Just received a call from officer Mathew again. He called yesterday too and left a message. This time I answer the call and told him I'm going to report him. He said, who in I going to report him to. Also said he has my address and going to call police to come arrest him. Told him in going to call the police on him and I hung up.

I just had the same exact thing happen.  I called back immediatly 3 times and the line had a busy signal which i thought was odd. The guy on the other line could barely speak English as well and told me I need some criminal attorney.  Knowing my taxes were filed and paid, I looked up the number on line 202-506-9044 and saw this for confirmation.

Don't answer 202 number. Don't call back, could get hit with premium rates.that's part of the scam

Got the phone on my recorder several times 202-506-9044. I cannot even understand what did he said but something legal if I dont response. A BIG SCAM.
