I received a call from this number on Friday around 10:00 a.m. and the caller had Indian accent he told me that the IRS issued an arrest warren against me and I should wait for the Sheriff to come and take me to jail. When I told him that I don,t have any issue with The IRS he start screaming at me you do as you told, if not we are going to block all your bank accounts and any property you own. I was so angry at him and told him that in this country we have law, this is not a jungle law and he said something and hang up the phone/

Get this call from these crooks so I blocked it and the next day get another call from 202-407-7227 with the very same recording and the very same voice....nothing but a giant boiler room of scammers and crooks somewhere. When I tried to block my number and return the call all I get is a busy signal,

They must also be targeting older or recently retired people.  I got one of there calls about 15 minutes ago!

They could, but the scammers are located in India and are pretty much bullet proof.  Call blocker is your best bet.

202-506-9225 Heather Gray claimed to be an IRS agent opening an investigation on me.  she cursed and hung up when i said hold on let me record this call

I receive these calls - it started around May 18th. When I see 202 - I cut the call off. These scammers-hope they are caught. Prison is where they belong - no phone to play their nuisance game. I for
warded the recorded message to the FTC fraud unit. Maybe they have ways of decoding these foreign accented threats and getting at the source.

I got call 7:09 AM today with this IRS crap from same number. He gave his name as Roger Patel. (Yeah, right)  See if your phone enables you to block certain phone numbers. I wish they would catch these maggots. Threatening to deport me. I was born here. Uhhhh, deport me to Aruba or Cancun please.

Why can't one of their agents call & play along? Whatever their instructions are to send money here or there, have Cops waiting for them. I'm disabled. This creep called @ 7:09 this AM! It is possible with our phone to block this number, which I fully intend to do. The poor people that don't know any better & get ripped off are the ones that get me fired up. If they want to deport me, cool. Since I was born here, can I pick a Country?  Uhhhhhhhhh-I choose Cancun.

Same message regarding IRS....with a calm, polite, threat if the call is ignored.

I got this phone call stated that it from IRS revenue .

This is a recorded message that goes to my machine regularly.  It used to be a male voice, but is now female.  The caller is very threatening, saying they will take legal action if I do not call back.  

I received the exact same message from the exact same phone number today (May 19, 2014).  Not only was "allegations" misused, but the ending, "good-bye and take care," was another red flag.  I didn't return the call.  I'm sure if the IRS has some issue with me, it will mail a letter.

States she is Heather and IRS office.

Wanted me to call them immediately before they take legal action ?

This is surely a prank call. As I expect IRS to send written letter about what the issues is not threaten peple for legal action for no fault of theirs.

I had IRS also to verify they had no information about this person or any case.

Got a call from 202-506-9225 yesterday& message on my phone.  Roger Williams from IRS, with heavy foreign accent.  Say I have tax issue, extremely time sensitive. Need to call back.  I call back today(Sat) & did not expect anyone would answer the phone.  But someone w similar accent answered the phone.  When I asked what is the issue, it was silent/no answer till I hang up.  Searched the phone number & found that others had similar calls.

Received multiple calls from 2025069225 from a caller claiming to be from the IRS with similar statements/threats. caller had a very heavy Indian accent. Asked me to call back the same number that he called from. Got nervous and said he is only conveying the message from IRS when I said that this scam is being heavily investigated by US authorities.

I received a call this morning with a message saying they are from IRS and I should call back soon as I have a tax issue.

(202)506-9225.  Received the same message as the other responders so I called the alleged IRS offical back.  Spoke with John Miller, a person with an east Indian accent, name did not appear to match.  John started that he was an IRS Revenue Officer, gave me his badge ID and some other titles then he yelling at me and told me that he would send the Sheriff's Department for IRS fraud after I asked some questions, he told to sit at home and wait for them to arrest me for tax evasion, I told him that I would - the whole process was getting amusing.  He then transferred me to his supervisor, another male with a heavy east Indian accent with an Anglo name - now he started yelling at me as well.  It appears that they are not very sophisticated.  My accountant told me to check my phone bill for high charges, I'll do this shortly.

Number: IRS 202 506 9225 rec'd message stating we needed attorney,when I asked to speak to supervisor he stated he ran away with his girlfriend. My response was don't bother me with these stupid calls and I hung up. What a pathetic line of work to be in.

I just received the same call like it was from IRS.

A woman with a strong East Indian accent (I had to get her to repeat everything SEVERAL times) stated:
1) the call was from the IRS
2) it was a legal matter
3) that that my husband needed to ask for John Anderson

The recorded message started as soon as the answering machine picked up.
Says she is from IRS,  saying "you ("or your retained attorney") need to call IMMEDIATLY".
Called back the ## but it was busy.

Just received a robo call saying they are from IRS and I need an attorney and to call some number soon.

IRS asking me if I retained a lawyer or attourney
