3:24 in the friggin' morning! These idiots called my cell phone. I knew the area code to be the DC area and I don't know anyone there so I did not answer. And yes, I'm in the Fort Wayne area too.

I just got a call from them. It was an automated message that said my atm card had been deactivated and to reactivate i had to enter the 16 digit number. I had a feeling it was a scam right away. It was weird that they didnt even ask my name or say what their name was.

I did a reverse phone lookup and the information i recieved was that the phone number is used by C&G home improvements and Hvac , in Washington DC. i have since contacted the FTC and filed a complaint as to it being a scam you can do so as well at this address : https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ Under the the Consumer protection tab there is a link to file a complaint. It took me about 10 minutes to file ...

Just got a similar call - Your ATM card is frozen, press 1 to talk to security and unfreeze card. Of course, I didn't, then the call disconnected. So, I dialed 202-526-0013 and got the "this number is not in service" recording. So, they are now working the 303 area code.

I got a call from the same number asking me for my social security number, and my parents and my dad and my brother got it. They were asking about Three Rivers Credit Union and none of us have an account there.

I received a call at 1:30 a.m. that my "account had been compromised." Half-asleep and not thinking straight, I keyed in my account number in order to "reactivate my card." I followed this step by keying in my PIN, then, and the caller hung up. Panicked, I drove to the ATM at 3:30 a.m. and my account was okay. When the bank opened in the morning, I went over and the branch manager blocked my card and issued me a temporary one to use. She suggested that I close my account totally and reopen a different one, which I have not yet done. So far, no money is missing from my account and I have sworn off doing stupid bank tricks on the phone at 1:30 a.m. Beware!

I received the same phone call at 12:36am. The message said that my debit card had been accessed by someone other than me and that my account was frozen. Press one to unfreeze the account, then it asked me to key in my card #. I hung up at this point. My accounts seem fine and when I try to call the # back it's a verizon message saying that the call can't go thru. This is annoying and I can see where some people will be confused and actually key their card # in. Here's something that I heard the other day "Some people are only alive because it's illegal to shoot them" Everyone have a good weekend.
| Keenan 2010-03-20 11:07:28 Unknown |
I also got a call from this number at 1:23am this morning, saying that my account has been accessed by some other person and that my account was frozen, and I could reactivate it by pressing 1, which I didn't. I was too tired to worry about it, besides, if it was my bank, couldn't do anything about it since its 1:23am and on the weekend. Had me worried for a second, but I waited until now to look up the number and am relieved to find out its a scam and that my account is safe.

Received a call from this number at 11:03 pm central time too. Freaked me out! Said my debit card was stolen...only I have two separate accounts. So I wasn't sure if it was true since my teenage kids take it frequently to buy groceries, etc. I entered one of my acct numbers incorrectly purposely and it recognized that....Out of fear I cancelled the cards already and am having them replaced......
