Just got a call from them from this number 830-768-1593. I called it back from a public phone and got a live person. Just hung up on them once connected. I get some joy in doing this over and over and over. In case it helps you feel better to get some revenge somehow, then use it!

These folks are on my harrasser list, they just dont get it "to stop calling my number", I suppose these idiots think that means just until another 24 hours, if you see that number dont waste your time answering there call, unless you enjoy such non-sense......if you CAN block them from calling your number......

It's a Washington Post sales service.

Call center handling washington post subscription changes. Suggesting you change to a easy-pay scheme instead of however you're currently doing it. No thank you, now stop calling.

Called while I was at work. Left no message. At least they are courteous enpough to have caller ID identify who they are. I get too many calls where the caller leaves no message and my missed calls shows that I missed a call from "Unknown Caller", "Kentucky", "No ID", or some odd 3-letter initial.

Its a thrid party calling behalf of the Washington Post asking for you to use auto pay to pay for your paper subscription. I have a problem with giving my CC info out over the phone in general, but I definitely would NOT give the info out to a third party that I don't know anything about. Washington Post, what a dumb business set-up. AND for just this week, you get a $25 gift card if you sign up for Auto Pay by tomorrow... I will never be rushed into some sort of quassi promotion.

I just got a call on my mobiile (I don't have a landline). The number disconnected when I answered. I called back and got the Landmark message "Cat" says she got. I Googled it and got this.

agreed that it's Washington Post---- only 2 people have this number and Washington Post is one of them. But also agree that it's strange since I do have a subscription and nothing has changed.

Called last Sunday, 5:29 p.m., and today, Saturday, 12:22 p.m. - no message.

Called twice this morning (Saturday) within six minutes, plus Friday evening and Friday afternoon, and last Saturday morning and last Thursday evening. I know it's the Post calling. Their circulation department should know that all of these calls are not making me more likely to resubscribe.

Called twice - no message.
Glad I found this site... I feel guilty for not returning missed calls, since I thought I was on the "Do Not Call" list... Looks like since I gave the number to WaPo, they are exempt...

They left a message "I'm pregnant"

Started Sunday only Washington post a few weeks ago. Billing went through fine. Just received a voice mail saying "Hello" I specifically unchecked all the boxes saying i wanted to be contacted regarding offers, promotions, etc.
Certainly not a good way to begin a relationship.

Just got one of these as well. Common thread here: everyone has or has had a subscription to the Washington Post.
I've always had a lot of respect for the Post, I'd hope they'd use our phone #s with discretion

Called me and no name or message.

Just got a call and a hang-up. I'm going to stop answering my land line and just have folks call my cell.

It's a sales call from the Washington Post. Either your subscription has run out, billing information has changed or something of that nature...but they are after your business... or in other words they want your MONEY!!!

Every evening they call, I pick up & say hello, and there's never anyone on the phone. I programmed my bedroom phone not to ring if they call, but I can't do it with my main telephone. I just called back the number and left a message but I doubt it will do any good. I'm tempted to get an air horn so the next time it happens I can vent my anger by blasting them. If it is the WaPo paying them to do this, then I have bought my last Post.

No message.

Call ID says Landmark. They must use automatic dialing to first available answer--it hung up before the 2nd ring! A***OLES!

Caller did not respond with answering machine picked up.

We have had MANY calls from this number recently and they never leave a voicemail. I've answered twice to see who it was and get them to stop and they don't say anything, just hang up. RE: Wash Post, we have a subscription so they wouldn't be the ones calling us. Very annoying! I'm done answering, they can listen to the v/m message and hopefully move on.

Multiple hang up calls during the day for a period of several days.
AJ 2010-03-20 16:18:40 Unknown
Who is this and why do they bother people on the weekend?
star 2010-03-17 02:53:46 Unknown
This number has called me 4 times in the past week. I never answer and they never leave voice mails. It would make sense that it is related to the Washington Post...I recently canceled my subscription.

Another missed call (I won't answer if I don't recognize the number), no voicemail left.
theblackdog 2010-03-15 18:35:45 Unknown
Rang my cell phone again, no voicemail left.

"Crystal" of Landmark Teleservices said that I could get a $20 giftcard by signing up with Easy Pay to pay my Washington Post subscription. She asked for my credit card number. I asked for information and forms in the mail. She did not respond to that. She didn't hang up, but she didn't give me any info.
Gee, what do you think about this call?
tanner 2010-03-12 20:20:52 Unknown
ask to speak w/Mr. Tanner
Suz 2010-03-12 13:20:39 Unknown
Left me three hang up voicemails this week.
