PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams............

Caller: "202" area  code  fake  calls ,  bogus / fraud  scam

Calls, gets my answering machine, doesn't listen to the whole message before they just hang up..
Oh, well, I guess they really don't want to talk to me...  
The "caller company" shown below is actually what shows up on my caller ID as the name of the person calling me...

I called this number back and a recorded message just asked for a donation for their "veterans organization." No option to speak to a person, no option to get off their call list. A**holes.

I told the caller last week, that we're on the "Do not call list.gov". Since that day we receive a call every afternoon at about 06:40 p.m. without saying anything or leaving a message. Will block the # with our provider. Hope they'll annoy someone from the Italian Mafia ... that would solve the problem for a lot of people! ;-))

i know it's a scam

The boys over at the agency will be visiting Jeff Stewart in Eatontown, NJ, Washington, D.C. or to wherever the trace on the incoming call was made from to a secure witness protection location. Jeff may want to get out of town quickly.

This number just called me again!

What organization calls from 202-552-8704. I want off the list. Their voice mail does not even identify who they are and goes on and on before you get the opportunity to get yourself off the list.  Annoying, and an invasion of my peace of mind.

These inconsiderate dregs have called a few times and left no message.  "AMERICAN VETERANS SUPPORT FOUNDATION" sounds like one the many "veterans charities" that are just big scams - most of what they con people into giving them they spend on their board of directors salaries (usually a husband-wife grafter team) and the rest on obnoxious telemarketing with zip point squat going to anything veteran related.

The machine doesn't stop the phone from ringing, and if you're sound asleep when they call, guess what?

Yeah, well they called me at 8:55 P.M. Since I get up at 4:30 A.M., I am already in bed and asleep at that hour. I have freakin' had enough of this. what is the use of the DNC list anyway???????.

3rd Party telemarketer named JEFF STEWART from RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS INC, 12 CHRISTOPHER WAY, EATONTOWN, NJ allegedly representing AMERICAN VETERANS SUPPORT FOUNDATION.

Get calls 3-4 times per year.  Requested to be taken off their Do Not Call List each time and my number stays on their list in violation of Federal Law.

Interesting choice of thread to make your comments, considering there are only two posts, and neither seems to be particularly in a snit, as you put it.  As for "exorcised" - do you mean to say these callers posess these people with the devil and then they exorcise themselves? LOL!

I'm amazed at the people who get exorcised about junk calls.  Aren't they why we have caller ID and an answering machine--so we don't pick up the junk?!  I was curious about this number, yes, but getting into a snit is hardly worth it.
