I too received a call from a "Rob Sanke, senior partner" with Haynes and associates, claiming that I owed a Sam's club bill from 2008 for $120.  To try and shorten this long story, the conversation devolved into a name calling match and I screamed an obscenity and hung up.  They immediately called my home number back and i picked up and said " this is a do not call number don't call back".  Then they called my mobile number and i did the same thing.  Several minutes later my land line number rang with my Daughters name and correct phone number on the caller ID.  I answered and a man trying to sound like a woman said " hi Dad, have you got a call from a company about us owing them money?". I hung up. Other messages were left on my wife's mobile expelling that " we know (my name) is having financial troubles. Please have him call us back so we can help him out". A simple call to any of a hundred attorney's specializing in stopping harassing collectors will confirm that Haynes and associates aren't even listed as any kind of legitimate credit collection company. Do Not let them intimidate you. These people ar scum.

The reason they haven't forwarded their court paperwork is because there isn't any. That's just a fear tactic, and an illegal one. There's nothing strange or unprofessional about their behavior: That's how criminals work.

I've received numerous calls from 508 299 7489 stating that they want to settle a claim before it goes to court. I have asked that they forward their court paperwork and to stop calling. No paperwork to date, but they continue to harass me. I'll take my chances in court, rather than sending money to a sketchy company that will not send the court documents they continue to threaten. Also, I find it strange and unprofessional that a company representative feels compelled to defend himself on this site.

Got a call on my cell phone from, I'm not sure who, regarding a SAMS Club card that I "used for my company in 2008". Heres a little background information; I have never owned a company in my life, nor do I have the financial standing to own a business. I have worked for various companies in my life time, and the one in which M. Haynes & Associates claims that I owned, was bought out in 1999. Therefore, it is impossible for me to use a credit card for a company I 1)did not own and 2)did not exsist in 2008, and has not been in business for 15 years. M. Haynes & Associates claim to have sent me numerous letters and I have yet to recieve one letter regarding this issue. Then, when I asked what address they had on file, they wouldn't specify my house number, but gave me a street name that is NOT the street I live on, but is in my city. When I explained that the company was closed many years ago, they began to speak to me in a threatening tone leading to them asking for my correct address and home number. I kindly told them that if they managed to attain my current cell phone number(that was not active in 1999 nor 2008) they could do their homework on getting the rest of my information, which they were not very happy about. I got their call back number and the firms name but when I asked what their location was, they hung up on me.

Got a call from a Sam Rossi from M Haynes & Associates for a $58.00 fee for Sams Club back when I worked at ALLTEL and had a purchasing card.  It was probably a renewal fee at the time ALLTEL was bought by Windstream and I along with many were laid off in 2005.  They are saying I'm responsible for the debt and will be turned over to the civil courts if I don't pay.  They are calling me at home and at work where they left a voice mail explaining what their call is about (that is Illigal).  I tried to call back 214-628-6720 and you have to have a code to get through.  The number there company is listed with asks for a code as well.  Obviously Scammers trying to scare people into collecting money that is way beyond the date of even being collectible.  I would love to find a working number and address to sue for harrassment.

I got a call from a 210 -390 which is showing San Antonio.. They claimed to be Mediation offices for M Haynes and Associates and and they had a lot of info on me. The lengthy call included confusion between me and my former sister in law and they called her too. They had addresses, yrs i had utility bills and didn't have them, when I did certain events.... I was terrified. It didnt make any sense I'd never shopped at this store. Then they refused to send me any info but insisted I have a power of attorney get it. I asked why I needed a power of attorney for MYSELFand they asked me not to call back.  I waited and called them back with an unknown number and asked for a mailing address and they hung up and I haven't been able to get them to answer again.  I reported this to my state police after I called my lawyer, my bank and local police and ck'd my credit to make sure it was ok.  PEOPLE BEWARE, be on your toes!

So I just got an urgent email from my mother in law that some one called her for my husband stating he must get in contact with them immediately or they are going to have him put in jail.  They left a phone number that leads back to M. Haynes and Associates in Dallas, TX.  The phone number goes back to YMax Communications Corp. and Fulchers Communications.

It's a scientific fact that anything a "poster" puts on this feed is a fact... Just like when the poster said I had felonies for wire fraud. I will not be continuing this conversation on this forum, if anyone wants to discuss anything please contact the office, we have nothing to hide.

Sorry -- I don't believe you.  If you are so legit, why did a poster state that your company was trying to get his wife to pay over the phone, for a debt she does not owe, without providing the legally-required debt validation letter?  NO legit debt collection company does that.  And nobody should pay any so-called debt collection company over the phone in that manner without obtaining proper validation of the debt.

"It is up to all consumers to do this " ... so you're saying if someone you cold-call believes the debt is not legitimate, that it is up to that person to file for identity theft?  Their identity may have been stolen, but it's far more likely that it is an sleazy debt collector calling the wrong person, or trying to shake them down for a debt that is long past statute.  If your company is calling people about debt, IT IS UP TO YOU to provide the person with a debt validation letter, proving they owe the debt and proving that your company has the legal right to collect the debt.  Do you provide this when people ask, or do you just continue violating the FDCPA?

We service 1,000's of consumers every week for various reasons. All of the contracts we handle are easily able to be confirmed. We also have clear chain of title for every issue we are handling. If a select few want to try to discredit the company because they dont "remember" their obligations thats fine. We are usually forwarded all identy theft filings and police reports with our contracts. It is up to all consumers to do this if they don't believe the contract is legitamit. Don't blame us for doing our jobs. We have helped many people. I hope that everyone was at least treated kindly and professionally. If any of you have questions please just contact the office instead of continuing this thread. Also for the person claiming I have felonies??? I've never been arrested in my life... Some of you are rediculous.

someone called claiming to be Aaron from M.Haynes & Associates, said my wife owed money from a loan she took, & my wife has never taken a loan in her life. Said she needed to pay it or his company was going to civil court to pursue the money owed ( she doesn't owe no money to anyone period). If she paid now over the phone the matter would be dropped. He kept saying weird things over & over again, like "Civil Court" & yadayadayada. The number he called from was South Carolina 864-252-8965

I received this call as well. I was certainly skeptical of it being a scam. Mr. Hazel willingly answered all of my questions. My purse was stolen quite a few years ago. I was 18 and dumb when it happened. I hadn't canceled everything and moved shortly after it happened without leaving a forward address.
Needless to say I didn't get all the notices of outstanding balance (forgot I even had the card) Mr. Hazel's dates all matched up with when my purse was taken. Police reports are usually purged after 5 years. So my stolen purse report probably no longer exists. I opted to pay the small amount rather than spend time and money trying to fight it civil.

I also received this call, however it was from a number out of Galveston, Texas, . The reason for the call was to get in touch with my father about a civil claim. The person calling had my cell number and my mothers, but claimed they did not have one for my father. I have looked on the Better Business Bureau website for M Haynes and Associates as well as M Hayes and Associates. The telephone number that I was called from does not pull any legitimate websites when searching on Google.

I've gotten repeated calls from these scam artists. Also from a Christy something. Both of these people claim to work for a Haynes or Hayes Associates, and, depending on the story, are involved in mediation. There is no such company listed with the BBB, the Maryland or DC Bar Associations, or even in business phone directories in the DC metro area. I have reported this number and the other they've used to contact me to the FTC, and have reported them to the Maryland Attorney General's office.

Incidentally, Tom Hazel, slander is speech; you're thinking libel, and you obviously don't have a leg to stand on for a libel suit. Also, the Secretary of State is Hillary Clinton, and she doesn't really have anything to do with "mediation" or attempting to frighten people into sending you money through debt collection scams.

Comments like that are slanderous and will not be tolerated. We are a legitimate company and are in good standing with the secretary of the state. I will be reporting your comment to 800notes for removal.
