My husband just got called at work and a "Hunter" left him a message stating that he was investigating my husband on criminal matters.  He tried to call back but got a voicemail, so I google the number and came up with this site!!!  Thank all of you for posting on this wall!!!  Knowing my husband he would have been fully cooperative and gave all of his information to this "Officer".  Is there any where I need to be reporting this?  Let me know!!!!

Same thing here.  A vmail stating that a person X is under investigation.  I'm not person X obviously.

She may have slipped at the end when she tried to repeat the 202-558-7495 number she easily stated at the beginning.  She instead paused before the last four numbers and finally uttered 5260 like she forgot her line.  So I'm going to also google 202-558-5260

Of course we are not calling back this scam

Debt Collector
I received the same type of call claiming that I owed over 20,000 dollars on a credit card that has been paid off for years. The callers name was Hayden Hunter. He initially called my daughter in law and she in turn called me with his number. When I told him I did not owe the money he hung up on me. I then researched my files and found out when the card was paid off. I called the police and the FTC. The police called Mr Hunter from my phone and told him to call them. I don't know if he did or not but I haven't recieved another call since. My Husband just passed away in Feb. and I too have been on medication, since Mr. Haydens call I have had chest pains and cry constantly. I just don't know what else I can do. I also put a fraud alert on my credit reporting agencys. However I'm afraid of every car that comes down the street, because he said I would be served and that I would be charged with theft from a business.

I got a call on my brothers phone saying That I was under investigation through a county in another state. I did live in that county for awhile many years earlier. I traced the callers number and found the post about this caller. I called and left a message saying not to call me again. This hayden hunter guy called me back and was verbally abusive and hung up. These people need to be stopped. Thank You.

I received a phone call today from Staci Blackwell & Clay Campbell with Transnational Litigation regarding a suit against my sister.  They actually reached me by leaving a message with my inlaws.  I dont know how these people even connected my sister to my in laws.  Kind of creepy.  I called and pretended to be her to find out what it's about.  Of course they told me all the same things you all have said above.  I called my sister to tell her about the call and she then called to dispute it.  They got very angry with her and said they are filing charges against me for pretending to be her and that she would have cops serving her papers soon.  Then they hung up on her.  The whole thing seemed very fishy.  I had my sister contact both the credit bureaus and the police station.  She's also calling FTC.   While I'm sad to see that they are doing this to other people, it's calming to know my sister isn't the only one.  Thank you for your posts.

Just got a similar call from Hayden Hunter of Transnational Litigation (I am pretty sure it is a fake name) with a similar claim, attempting to find someone I'm supposed to know. They're obviously phishing by last names hoping to find unwitting folks who think they're legitimate.  Thanks for all your previous posts confirming what I already suspected. Next stop: FTC.

I recieved the same phone call, on a credit card that I did not have!  This is a scam!  Call the the FTC and report them!!!
They are trying to use intimidation and scare tactics to get money out of you...they have no case!  I was called names and hung up on twice because I was trying to find out who they were!  I even had a police detective call them (from the county they said was coming after me with a warrant) and they were rude to the detective and hung up on her!
Please don't buy into this scam.....report them to the FTC and let's stop them!

I got a call from this number 2025587495. hunter last name called saying i had a sapena and that i was going to get cops soon at my house. ive heard for this scam so i told him to f**k off. he then called my mother in law that just resentally changed her number and no one has it, to tell her he wasnt joking this isnt a scam the the county sheiffs were going to serve me. they did bother to tell my husband or try and call him. i tried to call this number back its a cell phone you can even call it and try and hit * to connect to voicemail. so since they scared my mother in law i called and left a message for them to call me back. they never did. instead since they said county sheiffs were coming for me i call them myself. i didnt have a thing on my name but a traffic ticket i paid for. even the sheiffs said it was a scam and said to call the FTC and report.if your going to get served they WILL NOT CALL YOU IN ADVANCED! they are out to get scared if they say this isnt a joke they are just trying to scare you into paying them. if you know you havent done anything stand up for your rights. dont get suckered in to paying someone for something you never did. if they say you have a credit card then go to FREECREDITREPORT.com and look at your credit history, call your local shieffs and report these f**kers. come on amercia lets fight back and hit them where it hurts!

We recently received the same call and they tried their intimidation and I was able to record their conversation thanks to people posting their experiences.  They tried to get us to settle for $5,000 on an old credit card that was paid off and closed and the maximum limit on the card was $300.  Please call the Federal Trade Commission and report it to them in the hope these people will be stopped.  The number to the FTC is 1-877-382-4357
