how can we be confused by receiving an unsolicited call from some punk spam seeking company? I'm actually on the nation's no call list and considering suing you.  so, it's you that seems confused. I don't know how many times you can pay out the $25,000 penalty to people like me, but I hope to collect from you many times.

This makes no sense, why should customers have use you to inquire about my services?
If a "customer" cannot simply call me, directly, the old fashioned way, then that "customer" has something to hide from me, therefore yours and any other robocall will be ignored. Period.

Don't you think you should find out what this is going to cost you?  When you push 5 to talk to that 'consumer'  you are connecting thru Saveacall/Sevecall (they can't spell). I will be shocked if these 'great leads' aren't costing you $100.00 + every time you press 5 whether you get the job or not. Don't expect Savea/Seva to screen any of the consumers as a qualified customer before passing them on to you for a fee.

So you think breaking federal do-not-call laws is ok as long as the criminals doing it offer an explanation?

Sounds like you're one of them. You parents must be soooooo proud!

I answered a call from this number a few months ago. As requested, I pressed "5", and a "computer" voice came on the live. It gave me a customer name, phone number and the problem they were having with a lock. I called the customer and went out to repair their locks. No extra charges on my phone bill. It cost me nothing and I made money on the deal.

My dad has accepted this call today for the third time, out of the first two one of them actually ended in a sold job for a swamp cooler. The customer on the other end was himself sceptical but when he recognized my dadfrom advertisements on a weekend talk show the work was done and he paid. After getting a third call  today he asked me to google the number to find out more. So far it seams legitimate, while writing this we recieved a call back from a customer asking about an ac quote in our area. We still dont understand how it works but it seams to get us work

I've gotten two of these calls and press 5 to talk to the customer, but when I hit 5 the call disconnects, so I don't see how this is at all helpful.

Hello Everyone,

Many of you seem confused by some calls you've been getting recently. For that I sincerely apologize. Let me explain. The calls are from Seva Call (www.SaveACall.com), a Potomac, MD based startup which connects consumers with local professionals. As a Seva Call customer service representative I know that the calls are often mistaken for telemarketing calls, but I assure you I?m not a telemarketer nor is this a scam.

Whenever you receive a call, it's because we received a request from a customer who was interested in a service you provide.Yes, the call sounds automated at first, but If you press 5, it will connect you with a real customer in your area who wants the services the call previously described. The call comes from a 202 number to protect the customer's contact information as we too want to protect customers and businesses from telemarketers and scams.

Check out our site www.sevacall.com
or watch this quick video to see what we're all about:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8hqNtMpE_8

Here?s some recent press about the company:

Feel free to call 1-888-987-SEVA and someone from my team will be happy to answer any questions.

Then, if you are still not comfortable with these complimentary calls, please accept my sincerest apologies and email optout@sevacall.com with the the number you need removed from our referral system. Please allow a few days for your request to be processed.

Thank you,

Robo call at my work. Saying there was a customer on the line waiting to talk to us about roof repair.  I pressed 9 to end call. Didn't saw what company it was calling from so I didn't take it seriously.

I received a ROBO call 04/01/2013 9:20am CST.
I was requested to press 5 to connect to Potential Customer.
I did not press the number and the call was cancelled from the caller's end after I did nothing but listen.
Is this a scam? If I pressed the #5, would have some type of monetary expenses been charged to the Firms' Phone account?
I need to know so that others in out building do not anwer this call IF it is telemarketing/ SCAM.
