I to have gotten the same calls from these Hindi accent people with American names lol. Idk know if it is real and no one on here has proven that it is real or not real. If anyone out there knows if this is real please text me and let me know 3182865798. I need this to be real cause I'm in financial trouble and truck motor jus blew up on me. And if this isn't real then can someone help me out and show me how to get some free grant money. Everything about thus had sent up red flags, but when I asked them how to I know if thus isn't a scam, she gave me another 202 # to call. Please I'd anyone out there that could tell me the truth about this r can point me in the direction to get a real grant please help me.

I have been looking for a Gov Grant for may years now. And filling out grant and loans for a few days now and been getting all sorts of calls and Emails regarding  these applications. So when I got a call From a guy named John with a hindie accent, A red flag went up when he said I was getting $7,000 in grant money that i never have to pay back. And he took all my info and said to call 202 905 0508 and talk to the supervisor Robert Smith... LOL... and he was a hindew as well.. WHAT a scam american name... JOHN SMITH!!!!    Why cant people make a legitament living and not scam the poor. I and thankful for carma... because i do not believe in hell and God does not punish.. so there is no retrobution for any one doing this F U C king Scam BS. So He then said I have to make a donation of $360 to a forin country. I think it was Africa or some BS.. and as soon as the western Union went threw the 7k would be deposited... Well I asked for A SIMPLE Email from his Gov branch and some info to verify all that they are claiming to be and do. And he just kept talking in circles and giving me the same line of no sir i am not authorized to give you this info at this time... HELLO... HUGE RED FLAGS popping up...

I got a call from these people wanted my card number then i had to call a 202 number ask for a robert smith they told me u pay 80.00 to get the 7000.00 grant money in your accout. just wandered if it was true or not have u received urs.

I received the phone call from someone earlier today and am glad that I googled the phone number!

I got the exact same call and the guy said the $7000 was a government grant of some sort. he gave me a 10 digit number to use as a reference but when I call it is always busy.it has to be a bogus scam so don't bother with them.

No, but I just received a call from the same number telling me I have been chosen to receive $7000. IT IS A SCAM!!! I called the number and they hung up on me when I ask the name of the business and if this is a business or residential number. ****BEWARE****

I was called and told that I had Grant money comming from U.S. Federal Grant Depepartment and that I would be getting $7000.00 because I hadn't declacered bankupsey,been convicted of a crime or in debt!I could take the money in my bank account,in a credit card or in cash all I had to do was call Steve Miller and give him an approval number!So I called my husband right away and he looked up the number and found out that it was a scam! I called just to see what this Steve Miller had to say and he he congradulated me and went in to a spill about how the goverment would Western Union me the money for a refundable $190.00 and I told him no how about since it's goverment I pick it up at maybe the Social Security Office or the Court House he said the grant place went to alot of trouble to set up western union because they didn't want to do it any other way! I then told him no thanks when he kept up the pressure on me wetern unioning him the $190.00!

I received a phone call few days ago from a 1-80 and I spoke with Marilyn Taylor. She said that I was approved for $7000. She gave me (202) 559-7659 I needed to talk with Steve Miller. He told me that I have to send $190 (Western Union) in order to received the $7000. I did not do it how they have my name and phone number?

I got a call and said i will be getting 7,000 dlls in grant money... I thought you had to apply for that? any ways my husband always warns me about unknown #'s,  he is right... i am glad i looked up the number and found this forum... i've seen this type of scams on Dateline and I never thought i would be targeted... but i guess the scamer goes as far as the i want him to go and he stops here!!!

They told me the same thing.  I asked if it can go on a debit card, why can't the government put it on a card and send it to me.  Why do you need my card and  why if I go to Western Union you have to call him back for the information when i get to Western Union.  I would have to give 190 dollars to have my information verified thur Western Union because the amount was so much.  You are the Government, mail me my check, Steve Miller!!!!!

NO GOVERMENT GRANT WILL GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO GET CASH!!!! WESTERN UNION!!! HELL NO!

Same here they gave me the same number to call and ask for steve miller and 7000 grant i was stupid enough to give my debit card number =( i knew it was too good to be true

caller wanted to send me 7000.00 i told them to go ahead and send it in cash they gave a approval number of rk3355 and a phone number to call of 202-559-7659 and said to speak to steve miller. they asked for my address to send the check to. my wife says this is a scam and so we are reporting it to our local police tomorrow.

They said the same to me and told me that because I told them I couldn't pay 170 he told me to pay just hundred, his name was nick freedom and gave me a s.s approvel number. Please let me know if you have recieve the money. They said it takes up to 20-25 maybe 45 mins to get your money once you send your money in.

I got a call from 202-657-4433 to give my credit card number and collect a U.S, Grant money sum of 7000 Dollars. on 10 30 2011. Will I receive this money. I will see what will happen and give you an up-date. Who are these people to do this if it is not true...

I got a message that this was a goverment number giving 7,000 grant money you do not have to pay back.. They wanted my checking acct. or credit card number to tranferr the money or go down to western Union and pay a 200 dollars fee to get it tranferred to me .  Of course i did not  but they have me this number to call and ask for Steven Miller .  I am certain this is a scam of some sort
