Same thing happened to me.  Except they had my SS Number.  The very next day I was checking my bank account online and there were fraudulent charges.  I quick called my bank and they got right on it.  As we were speaking there were more charges coming through.  Thank God for US Bank.  They stopped it all and gave me my money back immediately and even went over my credit bureau report to make sure there weren't any new accounts or loans taken out.  This whole experience could have been a nightmare.  Thanks to US Bank it's like it never happened.  After these calls, check your cards online if you can every day and know what charges are yours.  My income is so small that this could have devastated me.  The fact that they got me like that  really upsets me and I plan on monitoring my account daily.  These people are very bad bad people.  I don't mean to sound prejudicial, but, yes they had very thick accents.  Also, I only pay three bills online with that account, wifi. cell. and my parking card for my school.  I am going to stop and start doing the paper check again.  This experience was too much for me to deal with.  Again, thank God for US Bank!

Yea...I've been getting these calls from the district of columbia area and finally I answered. same thing and same senario. She wanted me to put a security deposit of $270 which includes a fee from western union in order for them to release the $7260 grant money from the government. Ok straight bull crap. Talking about I will get the security deposit back. I said take it off the grant money. Again they said same thing they need me to secure the $270 first. Aight people....it would probably work better if you hiring some clear english speaking operators! lol I hope no one is suckered into thisSCAM.

Hi, I was just looking at mprice report, and the same thing just happened to me today. And they want me to western union $210 to them. And I couldn't understand nothing she was saying. And why do we have to pay for money? And likely mprice said... how come they can't take it out of the 70000, that they supposed to give us... so I truly don't believe that.

i just received a call from 202-580-8283 i was told to speak with a stacy rose and to give her my com.# of LH354 and go to a western union and wire 120.00 in order to receive my 7000.00 free grant money. for one i could not understand her for nothing. and i asked her over and over if i could get a email or whats the website. she then got angry with me and put me on hold twice to speak with her manager.. finally i got a website out of her www.usgrants.gov and come up as nothing but a bunch of real goverment sites. i told her that i was going to research it a little more because that makes no sense the goverment is going to give me 7000.00 dollars haha yeah right! all i had to do is wire 120.00, i asked why cant you take it out of my free goverment... she kept  getting angry and said i have too do that first in order to get my free money. i said okay after i look it up and i will call her back she said some crazy word and hung up....
