IT IS A SCAM!!!!! BE AWARE!!!!!!!

I was scam by that same number and they got a $130 out of me and tried to additional $400out of me but I went to the police and filed charges against them

Wow!!!  Thank God for the internet (Google).  I just got the call from those jokers and yes when your in need, it sounds Great.  First of all, I work for DC Govt. and living here in DC, if someone from the Govt. was going to call it probably wouldn't be a person of Indian decent (way too many AA's in DC Govt.)  While i was on the phone, i could here noise in the background like kids playing/crying and i'm pretty sure she was in a house AND most important, , , the Govt. DOES NOT work pass 5:30!!!!!!!  So, i played along and gave them an account that was good to deposit if it was real but they couldn't get anything from it.  They called me back and said they couldn't deposit the money and i should go to Western Union.  When i got there they wanted $130 dollars, , , ,  WHAT!!!  Okay, so i was like, oh there you go. . . .  ;I knew it was all BS, and i had a feeling he would call me back with something else because he couldn't get anything from the account i gave them.  See some of us have our own way of protecting ourselves, , , , Scam the Scammers!!  

**It's not even a good scam, because it sounds soooo ridiculous.  SO I'm supposed to believe that our Govt. in the condition it's in is GIVING away $5,600 dollars, , , come on.  In DC, make it about Chicken or Haircare or something.  LMAO. . . . .

BTW:  When they first call the number comes from (EDUCATIONOFFICE) 202-481-3310.  When they want you to call back the number is 202-580-8344.

i recieved the same phone call, but the guy i talked to claimed his name was Nick Foster. He said that i have been selected to recieve 5600.00 dollars, and that this opportunity was only going out to a few selected families. He told me to not use the money for gambeling, and asked me for my debit card information, he told me the money would be on my card the next day at 12 pm. No money was ever put on my card. So later in that afternoon, he called again, and said that he was unable to put money on my card, and that he could still send me money, but through western union. He told me to call him when i go to western union. I called him and told him i was there, and then he said that i had to send them money $150 for security purposes and that the money would be sent right back to me, when he told me that i was knew that it was fraud, and a scam. He called me the next day and asked if i had come up with the money to recieve my money, i tehn told him no, and he said he would hold the money for me until monday, i told him to lose my number and to scam somebody else. So...the money sounds real good, but, i wouldnt fall for this, because i dont feel as though you should have to send money to recieve money, that to me makes no sense what so ever....

The government never calls a person up in order to give them money...  especially just because they "file tax all the time"  Sorry, but this is a scam.

Um I got off da phone wit em and they said they was gonnA hold da money til march 21 2011 cuz I didn't make da deposit yet

1.) They called from a #1 number
2.) Then jennifer called from a 2025808344
3.) Then she talks to me about a $130 deposit to get $5000 from the government (as she says)
4.)  After that she talks about making a money order from western union

But my question is if the government was giving me money and need a $130 for clarification how come they just can't take out the $130 deposit from the money they planned on giving that would make more sense

Think to yourself
1.) If they know who they giving to money. How come they didn't state your name, their name, and what district/division they are under
2.) The government would usually send you paperwork that would have a number " for you to call for more information. "
3.) What is the reason you are sending this money ( trust me the reason is gone sound just as crazy)
4.) Why the people I'm talking to sound foreign and no where near an american or government official

So with that being said that sound like B.S.  that don't have to walk a thousand miles but its needs to get the hell away from me!

My husband and I got the same call yesterday we went to western union and they wanted the same thing money from us. we did not give them any information. this needs to be stopped why can't Our Government stop these people. Ohhhh I forgot the Government does not care about us.

Yes it's a scam dont give them any info they will give youre info to others and start getting calls and even texs from other company stating they have money for you we should do something about this it's horrible how these fing people want to get our hard earnd money with fake promises .

Igot a call from a man stating that his with the US Government. He stated that I was going to receive a total of $5600 from the government to pay bills, go to school,etc and not for gambling. He ask for my debit card information to direct deposit by tommorrow morning. He ask for my last four digits of my SSN. I told him to call me tomorrow and we will go from there. I got the call the next day from a lady named (Jennifer) and she told me that they could not direct depoist the money on a prepaid card and I had to go to a Western Union to recieve the funds.I thought that  stranged because the government does use prepaid cards. They even load tax refunds on them so I knew something was up. So I went and when I got there I called her back at the 202 580 8344 number and she stated I neededt o show my ID and pay $135 to receive the money and I would get it right back. I thought that was stranged because I never dealt with any Western Union before but, I don't think you should have to pay money to receive money. I think you have to pay the fee or sell tax to send money. (Jennifer) tried to get me to pay the $135. I wanted her to explain to me why and why is the government offering me this money? She just told me to call back when I had the money so obiviously, it's some bs. It's a scam.

It was the US Department of Finance.... LOL

I got a call from this number they have gotten over 6 hundred dollars from me. Within two days
And I still have not got to receive my money this is a SCAM| DO NOT GIVE THEN ANY INFO
THEY JUST WANT UR MONEY they don't care about you at all.

the us goverment is giving out $5,000.00 for selected families and the r been selected with their  phone numbers.
