Got call on 1/30 - didn't pick up.

Just received a phone call from this number saying Hi, this is Anne from Political Opinions of America.  Do NOT want these calls coming.  Signed up for the Opt out calls 1 year ago, still receiving them off and on.  Help

Called, did not pick up.

I Did not answer. They leave no msg. Hopefully they take the hint and quit.

Said he was a victim of fraud also... I ask him if i can call him back and he said on... so that's easy answer

I got the same message and the same person... wow talk about scam... Never give anyone money on a phone call ever...

Keep getting calls on cell phone from this number.  I do not answer and they do not leave a message

I got a call from this number on Jan 30 and it's fascinating to see the variety of responses. I think it's a medical debt collection company using a ruse, although I also wouldn't be surprised if its a political survey. What I do know is that picking it up to listen to a liar is a waste of my time, yet not picking it up is also damned annoying and wastes my cellphone battery. Even worse is to see the provider's tv ads about its team approach to medical care, when i know that team approach involves altering medical records and not following the DNC list, as well as the HiTech Act, FCRA, CanSpam Act and lots of other laws, just because the corporate conglomerate is too big and politically connected to be held to account by any state AG or the USDOJ. While government employees work hard to enforce the law, their supervisors often get lobbied NOT to enforce it. When I get one of these I really don't care if Jamie Gorelick and Mark Melodia getting the big bucks, or Rick Santorum and Orrin Hatch getting the big campaign contributions, are to blame.

CALLS FROM 202-599-8502,  UNKNOWN CALLER

Called, listened and hung up.

I have received a call from 202-599-8502.  I am thinking it is a political call.  How do we stop these calls to home residences.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and they still call.

Offer to file a Harassment complaint with your State Attorney general, that sometimes discourages them especially if you have a caller ID log of calls received.

I have all my phones on the donotcall registry and would like you to remove my number from your list.

I received a call on my cell phone from this number and then a recorded message about the survey.  I answered the questions but when I was told about the up-front money required to get the trip, I quickly hung up.  I really don't think it has anything to do with any politician; I think it's a scam.  

I received another call from that number yesterday and didn't pick up.

I learned on a similar post site that you can set the number's ringtone to "no ring."  That's what I have done on these nuisance calls.

Correction to previous post . . . This is a WASHINGTON D.C. area code, not a New York area code.

This is the 3nd call to come from New York.  Last one I answered half asleep (this one I did not) wanted me to do a survey.  If you are on the "do not call list, " DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK!  If you do, the telemarketers have you down as calling THEM first, and they can continue to call you.  

That's the rule of "do not call."  Telemarketers cannot make contact w/you unless you contact them first. Again, DO NOT RETURN CALLS TO UNKNOWN NUMBERS!

I also got this call on my cell phone shortly after 9am yest and the phone number came up as 202-599-8502. Since I didn't recognize the number, I rejected the call. There was no message left. I do recall getting a call a week or so ago from another 202 number that I also rejected. How the heck are these people getting cell phone numbers?? I don't care if they call my home number because the machine always picks up but my cell phone, that is going too far!!!

Call sounded recorded.  Did not listen to the entire thing.  Hung up after it said call was about the political debt crisis.

Called me at 7:28 pm on my cell phone!  How do we get off this list????

I usually get repeat calls from these telemarketer numbers.  Even being on "do not call" list.
I will call the number back and there is usually a recording prompting you to press a number to be removed from list.  This actually works sometimes but may take a week or so.  
I also found a fax tone sound bite on internet. I have that up and parked on my computer at work, home and Ipad.  When I get the spam callers, I answer my phone and put phone by my speakers and play the fax sound.  This will prompt the robo calling machine to list it as a fax number.  Not sure if it really works but I definitely have been getting less calls.
