That Do Not Call List is a load of crap! I have been on that stupid list and the calls keep on coming in. They just don't give a sh*t. Nobody is going to do anything to them so why should they stop. One guy even told me that when I told him I was on the list and told him to put my number on their do no call list too. He just laughed at me, told me "Yea, right! You gotta lota hope! We're gonna call you all the time now. Your number is like gold to us now that we know it's active. You're F*CK*D now, A$$H*L*!!! HA HA HA!!"
On our home phone I just lift the receiver, and hang it right back up. We have Private Call blocking, Caller ID, and Call Waiting CID, too (Time Warner Digital Phone). I put the telemarketers #'s in my phone book on my cell and look at Every CID # Before I answer it. I'm not going to pay to listen to some dip-sh*t recording I'm not interested in.
(SHHhhhhhhh)
(A bunch of us are working on a pulse that will travel back down the line and FRY the whole phone system on the other end (nobody in the middle, just at the other end) when these idiots won't stop harrassing us. A REAL Tele-ZAPPER!! Don't tell anyone though. HA HA HA)

If you can't block the number or forward it to something like a movie time recording, your phone may allow you to id the number as SPAM and assign NO ringtone to it so it doesn't bother you. I had to do this since I can't block it.

SAA and again what is the point of the registering on the supposed government do not call list when you keep getting stuff like this??
Lee 2012-02-02 22:44:32 Unknown
This # keeps calling my cell phone. Why do we have to put up with this? Of course, no message, and this is not the first call to my cell.
Fake Timothy 2012-01-31 19:31:54 Unknown
I believe Timothy Moyer works for them.. What the crap does working in HVAC have to do with these calls? A legitamite company would know how to run a survey? Get a new reply and quite copying your last fake reply.. This is a total scam!!!!

If you want to stop thier calls, call them on their business numbers: 888-685-1495 or my favorite 800479-9228. The company is ESA Research. the numbers are the numbers thier clients call them on. For example, the @$$ holes who paid them to harass you. Call during normal working hours. You can leave a message at the 800 number.

Modowg 2012-01-31 05:28:54 Unknown
Nope, My wife upgraded to a smart phone. I work in construction, so I have an old dinosaur phone. I get calls, she does not. The calls come from a company called ESA Research. The numbers they post on their site are 888-685-1495 and 800-479-9228. These are the numbers their clients call them on. You know the @$$ holes who paid them to harass you. Call them on these numbers.

Want to make them really Happy? Call their business numbers posted on their web site. 888-685-1495 or 800-479-9228. If they get enough calls on their business phone, maybe they won't be so anxious to call you.

It is a legitamite LAND Survey company probably hired by someone with lots of money who doesn't understand that a public opion survey is different. They probably didn't want to offend or dissappiont the client and accepted the contract (He probably paid them well in the past) I work in HVAC but in the last few years my company has fixed everything from a roof to a toilet, whatever keeps the employees working. Times are tough, could just be that. I honestly do not think it is a scam. I did call them to let them know they will probably need to perform damage control first thing Monday morning. Yes you can contact this company, but they specialize in property surveys and historical surveys. Not really what most people need unless they are ready to sign a multibillion dollar land contract, or buy an historical building.

It is a ligitimate survey company who was probably hired by a politician who did not understand that there a huge difference between a land survey and a public opion survey. They probably did not want to dissapoint a client so they accepted the job. I already called the company and informed them they will probably need to do damage control. Hopefully they will be smart enough to call me back. These people are only trying to feed their families. Hope nobody looses their job.

They are a legitimate company. It does not appear the normally conduct this type of survey. I work for an HVAC company and I have fixed everything from a roof to the toilet in the past few years. Times are tough. They are only trying to feed their families. PS. thank you your post led me to the information I was seeking. I thought the call was strange too.
BugBy 2012-01-30 01:22:02 Unknown
Repeated calls. No message left, ever.
Timothy Moyer 2012-01-30 01:19:43 Unknown
Yes this a legitimate business employing people to conduct these surveys. I was suspicious at first. Followed the info. Called the company and informed them they may need to perform damage control. These people are an Environmental Risk reporting agency. They probably worked for the individual who hired them for this survey. Their client probably liked the job they did in the past, and wanted to hire them for this survey. From the information I gathered on their site, it does not appear this type of survey is thier normal contract.

Recieved call on 28 Jan 2012. Didn't recognize #; searched & found your post. Checked Site. This is a legitimate business. These people are just conducting their jobs. That is what this company does. It is just a phone survey. Thought it might be more, but alas, no drama.

I did not recognize the number and thaught it strange. Searched the number and found this site. Now I'm curious.

Has anyone considered that the "Do Not Call" registry is a scam by itself? We are devoting tax dollars to it without getting the expected results.

got a call from this number - no message. suspecting its a political party solicitation call

They called and left no message. I called back to tell them that this is a registered "DO Not CALL " number. The electronic lady said the survey was closed and to press 2 to opt out. Pressing 2 only makes the recording repeat and then a hangup.
Louise 2012-01-28 19:38:50 Unknown
Got a call from them at 10:01 Pacific time. I did not answer. I don't answer unrecognized phone numbers. No message left. "Washington DC" was on caller id.
