First of all, there are no check fraud charges.  They say this to frighten people into thinking they are going to be arrested.  Payday loans come under civil law, so you can't be arrested for not paying back your loan.  They have not sent you a debt validation letter proving that you owe this debt and that they are the ones legally entitled to collect said debt.

You've already said you are in bankruptcy proceedings, so if you have not already included this loan in bankruptcy, please do so now.  As an FYI, even if you are doing everything correctly, these scammers will probably still call you, trying to frighten you into paying.  If they do keep calling, send them a cease and desist letter, sent certified mail/return receipt requested.  That way, if they continue to harass you, you can file charges against them for violations of the FDCPA.

Scammers will call anytime - they don't stop calling just because it's the weekend or a holiday.

I got a call from 202-618-6932. Danielle Bradshaw told me that a payday loan company was pressing check fraud, larceny charges on me. Said she was with MSO check fraud and worthless check division. Said that they don't want me to pay the bill they just want to press charges. Although I do have an old payday loan with this company that did not get paid back I believe this is a scam of some kind. I am in bankruptcy proceedings and will be talking to my lawyer about it.

One more thing that is interesting, why would they call on a Saturday??
