WOW. I just received the same threatening phone call from 202 618-9604  .  Claiming to be a officer's of IRS.    Wants my lawyer to contact him or they will issue the arrest. Need $2500, but they can accept a few hundred for now, must be US Bond only..

I just received the same threatening phone call.  Claiming to be a police officer.  Goes on and on (left message) about what will happen if I ignore his call.  Wants my lawyer to contact him or there would be issues.  Saved on my answering machine.  The phone # he is calling from is 202 618-9604 - Another scam on the loose.

Called telling me to have my lawyer contact them or there would be problems.  Said they were from the IRS.

Ignore them.  Total scam.   Most tax disputes are civil matters.  No arrests involved.   Scam being run out of India.

Common scam originating in India.   There's no way to stop the calls .   They are always gong to ignore US laws.  Call blcoker might help.

This just a scam...IRS do not call people to collect owe taxes. If you want you could call them like I did and told them a few choice words and they hung up and when I call them back they don't answer the phone

And the guy said he was from the IRS.

They called me saying I owe $1300 in taxes but I don't even work. They said that they have been notifying me of this since September and they are going to arrest me but I have not gotten any type of notification. Then I tried to call back and it said that the number is non-working. What do I do?

Reported this number to the Attorney General in Washington State.  Hope they can trace and catch the son of a ---------
IRS call FRAUDULANT! Man had a heavy Middle Eastern Accent!  Called twice and have a recorded message!  Can anyone say PRISON TIME COMING HIS WAY?

I received the same call but he left the message on my voice mail as I wasn't home when he called.  The message was rather threatening.  I had just read an article about this in yesterday's paper.  I can see where this could be upsetting.  You can report your incident by going to www.tigta.gov.  I just did.

I had this same thing happen to me that that the woman above reported.  How do you know what steps to take to get this taken care of?  This foreign man really upset me enough.  I told him I am hanging up and calling the IRS.. He got louder shouting he IS the IRS and he is sending officers right now to put me behind bars for 2 yrs because he thinks that will be well for me and IS the best option for me.  Aggravating. thank you Christy

Just had the same exact thing happened to me aobut Officer Jones -foreign guy saying I owed 2350 from underpaid taxes from 2009-2013. All my assets would be frozen and the 'second' option would be that I would need to make 'payment'. I then told him that this isn't legit and that I would be calling my local police dept. and that they would figure out who this is calling me.

If you can call them back and get them to repeat that you can sue them. I had a company do the same thing to me and I sued and got $2,500 dollars.

I received a call this morning stating I needed to call this number back that it was Officer Jones from the IRS and I owed money and that there was a court filing against me. I called the number back and when I did the foreign guy on the other end proceeded to tell me that I owed the IRS for unpaid taxes in the amount of $2,495.00 and I had two options, either pay it or they would send the police to my house to arrest me and if I did not pay what I owed all of my assets would be frozen and my house and car would be taken away, the guy on the phone didn't realize that I had a friend at my house that happens to be a cop for the Rotterdam Police  Department; he got on the phone with the guy and the guy told him to arrest me under his authority, when The officer asked where he was taking me he didn't have an answer. I was later told that I would have to change my passwords for anything associated with my phone which I have done.
