i gotta call from 202-738-1919 and they said i was eligible for a federal grant of 8,750 dollars and all i would have to pay is a processing fee of 270 dollars...when i asked since when do u have to pay to recieve a federal grant the same asian/indian sounding lady told me to take it or leave it. when i asked for an address and phone number for their establishment she was in the process of giving it to me and when i told her i need it for the better business bureau to make sure this was real...she caught a wicked attitude and hung up the phone...i called back and her supervisor came on and i told him she was rude, this guy said he'll take care of the situation then he started to catch an attitude when i asked him the same questions i was asking her becuz they seem to dont have any answers for me. the fake supervisor hung the phone up on me. how do we report these people???

I called the 202-621-0193 to check it out for a relative who received a call about being eligible for a $5000 grant and he only had to send $200 for processing.
A woman with an Asian accent hung up on me when I started asking questions about what kind of grant. She kept saying, this is the US government Grant Department. I called back and she disguised her voice. I asked for a manager and they switched me to a man with a heavy accent who claimed his name was Ronald. I told them an employee was rude to me and he said "maybe you were rude to them first. If you called them an a&&h^le and they said F u (he said the actual words), maybe you deserved it." I told him people may think badly of our government but no employee would talk to the public like that and I'm going to report them for fraud. I could hear a lot of telemarketers talking and laughing about what he said in the background. All with Asian accents.

I just received a phone call from Brian . He said the same thing to me, that I had won $8,000.00 dollars from the government. He started to ask personal questions like how old I am. I aske him that he needed to tell me and I would confirm with him, but he wanted for me to tell him and so he could confirm, I told him no and hung up.  He has accent, that was a giveaway right there.  Be careful, these people want our names and social security numbers, and birthdates.

broken English with heavy Spanish accent called me a few minutes ago and was very upset because I would not give him specific information about my date of birth and age.  Swore it was not a scam and I had earned $8,000.  I explained I did not know who he was and was disconnecting.  The person started to yell, at me about not allowing him to do his job.

What is the point of being on the do not call list if they are going to keep calling you???

Looks like I almost fell for this.534-768-9456 because I do pay my taxes on time    They asked questions it seemed legit but when I called the 202-621-0193 number they said that it was too early and to call back later.     Which seemed off then I decided what the hell lets Google this and see what?s up but apparently it?s a scam after reading all of these.     What really seemed weird is they didn?t want to know the rest of my address.   My street number that?s it?     Street and number what about city? State?   They knew the zip code.

Received a call from a man w/ poor english who identified himself as Brain Walker. Said, since I was an american who pays his taxes and does not have a criminal record that I was chosen to receive a one time award of $8000.00 in grant money from the U.S. Federal Grant Dept. But wait there's more! All I had to do was send $210.00 through Western Union to some government bank and that money would be sent to a third world country charity.

The number that called was +115347689456 was told to call back at this number 1(202)621-0193. When I told him to take the $210.00 off the top he became angry. I believe these calls to be a result of criminal activity.

FYI. When you want a grant, a proposal must be submitted to the U.S. government through a grant writer. The amount payed to the grant writer should be approximately $1093 in CA and NEVER through Western Union. For CA but, will vary by state. California is very strict because of identity theft.
