Same here - received texts about an add on Kijiji. Says he wants to send a trailer I have (in Ontario Canada) to his son in UK. I replied before I searched the phone number. Based on comments above, I have deleted the texts and won't reply any more. And yep - still an oceanographer!

Says he's working on sea and can only pay thru Paypal,but he ends up sending a fake Paypal email saying I received an instant payment.

I have a vehicle for sale on Craigslist and received a text message from this number telling me that he was in the military over seas an wanted to buy the car for their son. They then requested PayPal information. I called my grandson about this because I assumed it was a scam. Upon googling the number, I see that it is a common scam.

Same here, craigslist ad! His first text message was odd and second even stranger, so I googled the # and saw that it was most likely a scam and stopped replying!

This caller sends you text messages trying to get your PalPay accounts with the pretext of buying your vehicle. This person will not give you a phone call to arrange a viewing or meet in person. I was able to trace this prepaid phone number to the Washington DC area without paying for the search, there is no answer when you call the number either. This person smells like a scamer big time !!!
