Called me too, for the record.  I ignored it.
About ready to dump the landline.

When you have someone who is ill and they are trying to rest the one ring still incases distress. Especially for phone callers who repeatedly call back like 6 times in a row. I do not answer them, but I find my blood pressure skyrocketing over the constant daily intrusions.

I hate these calls. I have an unlisted number that I never give out for any reason and I get more calls than I can block in a day. I can block 30 calls. I really am thinking about the call blockers that block 1500 calls. Will that be enough? The phone company should be mandated to block unwanted, unsolicited calls.

This number calls in the afternoon and lets it ring only once and then hangs up.  I want this to stop.

Everybody's got caller ID, right? If the prefix is 202 and/or the "name" is Washington DC (or similar) it's a political call. If you don't like those (and who does?) DON'T ANSWER. It's not rocket science.

my Panasonic phone has the ability to store up to 50 calls that we can block. I added 8 so far this week.
Made the mistake of answering one call this morning. After the lady announced her name and for whom she was calling I told that our number is on the Federal Do No Call list and to stop calling, she then started laughing and said the company didn't care and that they have never been fined or contacted by the government

I am so sick and tired of these calls.  I am the caregiver for my wife who has ALS and I have more important things to do then run to the phone for these calls.  I have turned my answering machine off in an attempt to get them to stop calling but if the phone rings long enough, about 30 seconds the call will go to voicemail.  Usually they hang up before that happens.  And with elections coming it is only going to get worse.  I do not believe that the registry applies to these types of calls but it should.  Regardless, the Do Not Call Registry does not have a hair on their a**.

That would be the bankers then.

Got a call from it too..ignored it cos' I was on another call already..my guess..politically inclined call, whether automated or a live person but it's election year..these calls will come around, sorry to say.

mine was a political ad for rick santorum.  it was a guy with a heavy heavy southern accent and deep voice.  Basically, said vote for rick this fall.  lame.  as if.
