I get calls even though I am in the do not call registry. When it is an actual person, I ask their name, then tell that I will use the number to find where they are located, and drive there to kill them. Sometimes I say I will burn the building, and shoot all who come out. It isn't like I called them to say this. It discourages re-callers...........

Folks, the first thing you need to know is that the number you see in your caller ID is totally false.  It is a waste of time to try and see where the call originated, as they can put any number in that they want.

I saw how this worked when I set up a phone system for a legitimate operation over 5 years ago.  I was able to surprise my wife by calling her and sending our own caller ID her way.

Regrettably I, too have to put up with these calls.  These crooks are in the ID theft business, and there is little the Do Not Call List can do to stop these guys.
There are technologies in the telephone industry to get these guys, but court orders take time, as the government has checks and balances in place to protect our rights.

I have received several calls from this number and when I anwer it appears to be a prank call, so I hang up. My husband has call the number back and all that we get is that the number is no longer in service. Hopefully, because of your service, we will no longer get any of these types of calls! SCAMMER's BEWARE!

I picked up the calls and no one ever answers.  I called them back to tell them to go somewhere and look for a job and stop the harrassment...and no one heard the message.  I asked them how many ways they needed to be told how to spell stupid......Maybe we should be able to recall all the supremes for calling corporations people, dumping tons of $ into this crap

Timeshare Bait

Excuse for hard-sell timeshare. Two unrelated companies are involved, one gets paid by supplying suckers, the other moves timeshares.
* Robo-call for "Political Survey"
* Starts with Turing Test to determine if your phone number answers with a machine or real person.
* Canvasser "Representatives" are efficiently assigned to collect your personal information with a ruse of "Political Survey"
* Caribbean Cruse Line weenie is dangled to hook suckers for "free vacation", which is entirely true.

* If you bite - Hard-Sell timeshare salespeople will prevent you from enjoying your "free vacation" on the way or once you get there because you must wait for your voucher to pay for your vacation by attending a mandatory 72 hour "seminar" pressuring you to buy a very expensive deed for a very tiny amount of land which comes with a contract for "maintenance fees" and set you free early when you sign.

Total SCAM to get around who can robo-call.

I got the same call on my cell.
Another poster "Dixi" posted an excellent idea, which I use, since I can't block numbers on Sprint.

I save the number to my contacts as "SCAM" (Dixi uses "DO NOT ANSWER ITS A SCAM").
So I have a list of numbers that ALL now just come up as "SCAM", and I hit "ignore" or whatever your phone has that's similar.

Yeah it's just a "fake survey".

FYI... (did they even HAVE the acronym 'fyi' when I was "on-planet" ?)...
anywho, me' little kibbles... a mate of mine (on planet) is completely convinced they're still doin it, the 'list' is still there, AND this "stuff" is all true (actually, I think Steve Jobs started using "stuff" after I 'crossed-over', as it were, but I do try to keep up).

They can log your cell, but they can't read your brain.
Keep that free, and it's all strawberries.

Always remember, Instant Karma IS going to get them.
I'm just sittin' here watching the wheels go round and round...

You're kidding, right?  This call is a SCAM from crooks making illegal telemarketing calls.  They are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see.  They are hiding behind a political survey to supposedly give away free cruises.  The thing is that the cruises are not free and all money that they charge to your credit card is not refundable.  The survey is FAKE and has nothing to do with any political party, candidate, or legitimate business.

The crooks who robocall you are not reading these posts.

Report every spam call that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.

Make sure that your phone numbers are registered.  I guess that goes without saying, but given the fact that you're yelling at the telemarketers here, I wouldn't doubt that you would understand this simple fact.

We do read this and we are very sorry to have bothered you.  We provide a valuable service, but some people do not appreciate it.  Please post your phone number here so that we can remove you from this list.
Also, to make sure that no other company will call you, I will have one of our agents visit your home and program your phone so that it will not receive these types of calls.  In order to do this in the least intrusive manner, we perform this valuable service while you are not at home.  Simply post your full address here and leave the front door key in a convenient spot, such as under a mat or in the mailbox.  Also, be sure to turn off any alarm systems.  We will then enter your home and program your phone.  We can also provide an inventory of your valuables if you would like.  To make this easier for us, just place all your jewelry in a pillowcase and pile all your electronics next to it.  We will take photos and record serial numbers of these valuables and enter them in our database.
Glad to be or service.
