have had 17 calls from this number over the last 5 days..no one on the line when we answer.
very very very tiresome!

Have received several calls from this number "American Cancer Institute fpr Cancer Research"  (I googled it)asking for Mrs.... I tell them she is not avaiable and they then ask for Mr. ...  When I ask who it is, they do not give me a name but say they will call back later.  Then they hang up

I told them that M. & Mrs. ... have passed away and not to call again.  We'll see if they actually listen to this request.

Called every day for three weeks

Have been receiving these calls for over a month now.  I am a hearing impaired senior citizen and do not answer the phone.  They never leave a message so I cannot comment on what they want.

I get a daily call from cancer research, nobody is there. Am on the do not call list. How do I make it stop?

We have been receiving calls from from 202-652-4599 for months now.  First, occasional calls and it is to the point of everyday 2-3 times at all hours during the day into the evening.  They are considered a charity as I was told and therefore....exempt from the "do not call" registery.  The last draw came today when I did answer the call and told the women at the other end, the calls are now considered to be "harrassing" and I wanted them stopped.  Low and behold...again, tonight, a call was left on voice mail. When you google Cancer Research...there is a whole list of places and can't find the complaint phone number.

Have been getting these calls for the past couple of days.  Seeing that my mother passed away just one week ago from cancer I have ansered the phone each time thinking it was something to do with her death (because of the caller id saying cancer research).  I think its pretty poor taste to use this ID if it has nothing to do with Cancer Research!

I have been getting annoying calls every night from 617-308-4086.  Not sure who it is but it comes up on the caller id as unavailable.

We have been getting a call from this number at least once a day, and sometimes twice, with no one on the other end.

American Institute for Cancer Research.  Call them back and enter your phone number and the calls will stop within 30 days.  When you call back you will get a recording offering you option of pressing 1 for more info on the organization, press the 1, listen to the short speech and then there is option to remove for calling list.

2 calls very early in the monining the past few days. No one on the line, just beeping like a recording machine.. Enought of this garbage... Please stop it...

Several calls from this number over the past couple of weeks.  No one is there when I pick up.  I called back and there was nothing.  More garbage . . .

answered the phone,could,nt get a response

I have been receiving 2-3 calls per day from the AICR number 202 652-4599 for over 3 weeks to my answering machine.  Despite my voice message coming on the callers all have the same response; "hello, hello, hello" pause.  I called the 202-652-4599 number to complain over 3 weeks ago and followed their "press #" options until I got to the "If you wished to be removed from future calls pls press 2"  I followed this prompt and entered my number and the calls are unabated I still get them daily.  I sent an email to AICR and no response. Finally I called them today and asked for their telemarketing dept which I was immediately connected to. I asked to be removed from their spam again and we'll see what happens. Annoying as any telemarketing calls as I have ever received. Terrible.

Called 202 652-4599 and used the prompts to take my name off the list. We'll see how it works.

I answered the phone, no one was on the line. I waited thinking it was a computer generated call, but still no one was there. I pressed a couple numbers to make that awful buzzing noise and finally "they" hung up. Never spoke to anyone.

A company called Cancer research has a representative call me 7 days a week. I have spoken to them and they want to send you a package containing advertising flyers and want YOU to distribute them in your neighborhood. How inappropriate is THAT.
Call their number and have your number removed from their list. They seem to have found a loophole around the Do Not Call list.

Calls many times a day for several weeks.  No one is on the other end of the line

Got most recent call 8/9/2008.  They hang up when I don't answer; never leave a message; call on Sundays.  I don't even think they're for real!!!  
Can you stop them???  I'm sure that would make a lot of people happy.

Also recived caller ID cancer research  w 202 652 4599. Is  it trolling ?
One of my customers is  a "202", and I ALMOST picked  it up. Are you sure that if  I called this #, using option 3   to "delete " my name and number that it wouldn't just merely confirm  my prescence  and  provoke a cascade  of more unweanted calls  (Never respond  to spam, it just confirms your connection)
 btw   No legit  medical gets done this way . I have  experience with orgs & meds.

They have called on numerous occasions and once I asked to be put on the do not call list they started asking for my wife and are very rude to me when I tell them she is not home. I have even told them she doesn't liove at this number anymore but the calls continiue. She has told them also to put us on the do not call list but the calls still keep coming. I am trying calling the number and see if that will work.

I receive several calls a day from them.  I too will try to get rid of them with the prompts.  Thanks.

I too would like to try the prompts, but I don't have long distance service anymore and can't call them.  Is there any other way to make them stop?

Called two days in a row - no voice message.

Have been called from this number 21 times in 6 days!  There were 6 calls in just one day!

I am sick & tired of geting calls from this number.  They don't speak once I say hello quite a few times they hang up.  It's rude & offensive.

this is crap.we should not have to put up with this.

This number called  several times, and it said "cancer research" on the caller id. I finalley answered one day and a lady started her pitch with she represents research for women about breast cancer awareness and she is not asking for money ( she said that real quickly) and then wanted me to mail ten letters locally to my neighbors about it! I told her I am not interested,  and then hung up. I still get the daily calls. I just don't answer them anymore. I am hoping they will soon stop.

Cancer research; asked to speak to the Mr.; he refused.  Man said he will call back....has called past 2 evenings.  This appears to be a cell phone registered in DC area.
