Same thing happen to me & the the lady so worried about school, calls me in the middle of school & tells me to run to to a CVS/Walgreens.  Like really?

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! THEY CALLED ME FROM AN BLOCKED NUMBER, SAID I QUALIFY FOR A FREE $10,200, GAVE ME THIS CONFIRMATION NUMBER, CN205, AND SAID HER NAME WAS KELLY JOHNSON. SHE TOLD ME TO CALL THIS NUMBER- 202-697-9217. SHE CALLED ME ON BLOCK AND SAYS THE MONEY IS UP IN NEW YORK..... HANG UP! IT'S FAKE!!!!!

I m from india i work in scam call centre. ya its really scamming US people, Indian are living because of US money. why India PM allow them to scam. if i m the PM of India i will stop all this Dirty, stupid thing.

The people so called called me to say that I had money from the federal reserves, thank God I wasn't stupid enough to give them credit card or account information. They need to be stopped, its crazy and if I wasn't a person with some common sense then I would have fell for it. Stop these crazy people now!!!

just got a call to my work phone stating the same as the rest. grant for 9000 can use for any reason. call 202 657 5500 a foreigner named Chester. he said call the number and you can speak with me again. What the hell if you're offering me a grant and then you tell me to call you back and speak with you again doesn't make sense. I looked it up and was glad to see that this was a scam and others have almost been victims of this scam. they even gave me a address 200 independence ave southwest Washington d.c 20201. their number was 00 that showed up on my phone. what the hell. I knew that was shady to begin with

I called the number after getting the same call you did, I even had googled and had this sit up in front of me.   They seemed upset I chose western union and went through the whole spill again.  Again I chose western union she then informed me I needed to register my name because it was transferring money from one state to another (I have used western union b4 to receive money when my vehicle broke down in florida from my grandfather in texas so I know this is not the case)  the amount to register my name was $180 on a green dot card.  I told her to have a nice day and hung up.  She proceeded to call me back and said we had been disconnected and I told her I know I disconnected with her to call the fbi.  she then hung up on me

Same thing happened to me today when I'm driving.  Did not get that far, but he by name of Kevin Foster, left me this 202-657-5500 number to call back.  When I called, not one pick up the phone.  What a scam using same tactics!

Recieved a call from 202-657-6412 I was aproved to get 9,200.00 but I have to get a greendot card and put 350.00 which would not be touched but increase the amount that could be loaded on the card before I could get the free grant the person I spoke with her name is Christy. I think its a scam

I receive call without number ( 00000000)  (0-000-0000)  and the caller name is John Stewart, and then
he said you will receive money for 92,000 from Gov. Treasury Dept. and he gave the code GG11079 ,and before he hang-up the Phone, call this number 202-657-5500, after that I the call number 202-657-5500 and they want me to security deposit for $ 310.00 dollar

Exact same conversation, with the exact same confirmation number. Scam!

I just received a call from this number saying I was getting a grant for 9,200. I was giving a confirmation number and number to call to collect this money. They asked that I western union 320$ and would recieve this money back plus the 9,200. I googled the number and I'm now seeing other people getting the same calls. Please figure out who is calling! I received a call and was instructed to call this number and give the this code ( GG11088) and I would get $9200.00 with no penalty. Is this legit?

I cant believe it, I got the same call from this 00000 number and the guy on the phone with a fake a** name-John Stewart totally white name- and John  said he was also from the US Treasury Dept. , Said i was approved for some $9,200.00 I was like Hooooollld on, now Im a NOVA student that just received my pell grant by applying at campus before semester, and I was like this is some wacky BS. He gave me this stupid con # GG11079 and to call 202-657-5500. Told me to go to the Western Union,I told his a** give me a damn check cause I knew he wouldn't be able to. And to call when I got to the WStnU.Kiss my a**! I wasn't born yesterday f****ard- so I started asking all types of questions confusing the hell outta him. Dude man couldn't even speak proper English. SMDH. Freak show scam, just f*** with them and try to do a funny a** accent! These guys are such a lame scam company, they should at least get English speaking people, not some off the boat person. Dude was straight up P*** or Afghani...

I got the same identical call yesterday with the same details, I am glad I googled the no. 2026575500 today coz my sixth sense was telling me that this did not sound right.
Although I have been planning on applying for a loan for my studies.
I am glad I did not fall for this and had the good sense to google everything and find out for myself first.

Received a blocked call from a male who stated that the Gov't is giving away free money to help us. The only exception is that one can't use the money for drugs. He stated that to claim this money is to call the number 202-657-5500. They will walk me through with getting the funds to me today via Western Union or by my account. He then goes on to say that I need to call the above-mentioned number. If the numbers are busy, he stated keep calling bc there are 1500 people who are making the same call. He stated to keep making the phone call until someone answers.  I did not call the number 202-657-5500. Instead, I googled the phone number and I came across various complaints about it being a scam. I've heard about anonymous calls like this before. If one were to call the given number, they will be charged in excess for the call going out.  Not sure if that's correct bc I refuse to make the phone call.  Again, it's too good to be true bc any government funding requires one to apply for it. Glad this site popped up when I googled the phone number.

I just got a call from someone speaking English, but was from somewhere else. Stated that they was from the United States Grants office and that I had been selected as an outstanding citizen, he ask me did I understand why I was getting this grant. Then he proceeded to give me the ID number and phone number to call back on. Before the end of the call he verified my name and phone number and told me I had to call back his account agent to finish the transactions, after that it would take only 25 - 45 minutes to complete the transaction to my savings account. I did not give my account number.

I received a call from the U.S. Government Grant Department saying that I have been chosen to receive a $9200 grant from the government. I was instructed to call a different number to the Federal Government Finance Dept. I did not do this but looked the number up online and saw that plenty of people have received the same call and it is for sure a scam.  These people are using the U.S. government's name in this scam. Something should be done. They called from an unknown number but gave me this number 202-657-5500 to call for my grant.

Got a call from 1-202-657-5500 telling me I received a free 6500.00 grant all I had to do is send them 310.00 and I would get the grant and my 310.00 back deposited in my check acct when calling back I told them I worked for a lawyer and before I made deposit he was going to check there credentials they cursed me out and hung up SCAMMERS if you get A grant you need to fill out application first people DONT FALL for scammers never send A PENNY FOR A FREE GRANT !!   oH yes forgot the callers name was Leslie Turner  

I just got a call from this number and they said they had 9200 dollars for me and I had to call back and speak to a supervisor and give an ID number. I know this is a scam. Don't ever give personal information for things like this.

Just got the call from a blocked number.... When I asked the Indian lady to speak with her manager/supervisor, she became incredibly irate/rude and kept telling me I had to call the (202) number to speak with the manager.  Almost laughed and told her she had terrible customer service.  Called the number on a whim and it just kept ringing and ringing.....

Same BS for $9200 deposit $299 first lol I offer him $600 but take it from my grant he refused then I told him keep half and send me half same thing so I told him to donate my money to the White House    

i got a call about a grant for 9000.oo say to get it had to pay well i say if it free money then i should not have to pay .well if this was true then they could mail it and may take time but i was not going to send three hundred to nobody and i told them that i had no job where was i to get this money .i wish it was not a scam the num.was 2026575500 .please people donot fall for this scam.

Unknown number called by the name of  Henry Watson from the Gov Grant Treasury dept claims I was selected for grant money and gave me a confirmation number for just being a loyal citizenship that I will receive 9,200 and to call Leslie 202-567-5500 to give my bank account number or if I wanted to have it shipped by western union. I called the number and when Leslie
picked up the phone she was not professional and claims she will have to call back. An when she called back she was in a hurry and frustrated once I decided to ask questions.

My $250 for "dept. US federal grant i didnt apply for"$9460 cash via western union voucher. If u fell for it its your own fault.

A guy call me that he's from the government  and they had a some of money too give my $9465, I don't believe that?
