Received a call from (202) 800-2000 telling me my name has been randomly selected to be scammed...ugh I mean to receive a $7,000 grant from the government that is tax-free and doesn't have to be paid back. As if! Nothing is free these days...I didn't fall for it, said "No thanks." Lady wasn't rude and respected my disinterest. I wonder if she feels guilty that her way of providing for herself involves dishonesty and stealing from others. I hope one day she realizes she can do better and finds a real job where she can help people instead of try to mess them over.

I received a call on my cell phone today. It was  lady with a very thick Indian accent.  She told me I was selected to receive a $7500 grant to use as I please. She "verified" my name and address and then asked me for my date of birth, which I refused to give.  I then asked to speak to her supervisor, at which point she got upset that I didn't want the free money.  I calmly told her that sure, as long as I could speak to a manager as I would not be giving her any personal information.  She proceeded to tell me there three options for receiving my money today 1 Direct deposit, no way in hell, 2, a check which they needed my credit card info for, again hell no, and finally western union.  I "chose" option 3.  She proceeded to give me a Western Union MTN of 4 digits, they are usually 10 digits long, and I had to call her grant supervisor to finalize the transaction, which led me here as the number I'm supposed to call is listed above.

I received the the same call as all you did.  i would like to know how they get all of our information.   people please beware. IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.  THEN DON'T DO IT.

I got a call on my cell phone from the same damn number, they said theyd give us 7,500 if we gave them 290 first..... O.O I don't think so, ive been lookin this s*** up... but the one thing tht struck me the most and right off the bat is... if this is supposed to be a government grant, whythe f*** do I need to give you 290 dollars before you give me 7,500???? srry correct me if im wrong but ive never heard of a true government grant that you have to pay for.... it wouldn't be a grant it would be a LOAN... I received a call from a unknown number saying I was selected for a $7500 government grant and gave me a confirmation # and a phone # to call. They wanted me to go to a western union cause I wouldn't give them my debit or checking info said I needed $290 and ID, they knew my name address and birthday! Where do they get all this info?

My girlfriend got the call too. They gave her this number to call. I called them cause i knew something is not  right. i asked the lady on the phone to explain the grant and she keep put me on hold. and every time she came back i could hear some guy is telling her what to say. finally after about 5 min, i asked her what is the name of your corporation and she hanged up. I called them back a few times but line was busy,

I received a call from 202-657-6938 saying that I was picked to receive 7500.00. I was to go to weatern union location and take 290.00 cash with a picture ID. Call them from there  they will give me the rest of the info necessary to collect the 7500.00. Then call back when Im in the parking lot.  They are thief traying to get the 290.00 I was to bring.  Pray that they will be cut and put in jail where they belong.

Got a call from someone with an accent about a 7500 grant,they  gave me an id number and a phone number, when I called the number and identified myself as a lawyer,the hung up.

I revived a call from 416364111 saying I got selected for 7500 gave me this 2026576930 number she gave me an ID number too wtf

Yeah, this is obviously a scam, they asked for a 290$ "Security Deposit" that supposedly will get refunded in order to get a 7500 'once in a lifetime grant from the government.

My wife just got the same call. I believe that it's a scam. These "people" need to get a job instead of ripping people off that are on fixed incomes. 202-657-6938.  LEAVE PEOPLE THE HELL ALONE.

I just got a call from these people yesterday and they said I was choose for a grant of $7,500 and to call this other number to give the manger my secret code and then they would lease the money to western union at wal mart. Well needless to say I called them today and the lady answered the phone and said they was closing to call them back tomorrow at 10:00 and I started getting considered about it and typed this number in google and this popped up, so YES I think it is a SCAM.... So BEWARE people!!!!!! I freaking out because they have some of my information... I believed it at first because I just changed my number and nobody but close relatives knew this number and then I get a call from them so I figured it was legit, and I have been applying for school and finacial aid so I figured it was somebody calling me back about that but I think it is just a scam now. Thanks for posting stuff about this place because I was going to call them back tomorrow and then go and try to get the money.

was call from " the government" who was giving $2500. away that didn't need to be payed back..got a conf# and THIS # to call back..asked why I didn't receive a letter from the government and told him I wont give any other info.looking for debit info...caller ID said private number...HMMM..,SCAM!

i got this call saying I got 7500 in grant money coming to me.  call this number so they can tell me how to get the money . when I called the number there was no answer. so I get a call back 10 minutes later same person . say that they are from the federal dept. I said sorry I googled your number its ascam and don't call back .they hung up .

I receive this call and I believe it's a scam.  I was just checking the number before I actually dial it.

I received a call from this number.  I thought it was strange I would get a government grant from a caller whose English was probably his second language, but I continued to listen.  They asked if I wanted to receive my grant money through my bank account, credit card or western union.  I chose western union and was given this number to call back.  There was no answer.  I feel foolish that I did verify my street number.  The caller had my full name, city, state and zip code. I think it is a scam.

I received a call from this number also. They told me the same exact thing like everyone. But they knew all my information. They knew my name, date of birth, address, social.. is this fake or what ?

Just got a call and she said what is your happy birthday? Same promise of 7500, direct deposit, to my debit card or western union.  Gave me an id# and everything.

SOME ONE CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WERE THE GOVERNMENT GRANT OFFICE IN DC, AND THAT THEY HAD MONEY FOR ME 750.00, THEY CALLED FROM THIS #202-657-6938, IS THIS A SCAM OR WHAT

They called me today saying they'll give me $7500, and to place a security deposit of $289, I almost believed
them, but I asked around first, because it may have been a scam, but luck for me it wasn't, I got the $289 back, plus the $7500, talk about happy, I'm the happiest 17 YO. around Dillon County.
