I am sorry if I responded this late but I've got aprox. 80 emails for the place .
The place was gut renovated 1 month ago and the pics were taken 2 weeks ago .I own the place no corporation or agencies involved .Most of my time I am away with my job and I wanted someone to take care of the apt .Right now I am in Greece and I can be back in aprox 8-10 days if my employer permits it .
My main concern is to have the apartment housed and well taken care of, while I am away. I will need a clean and responsable tenant so references would be great. If you can email them, I will appreciate it.
You can rent it for up to 2 years, possibly longer.
The move-in date can be anytime.
I tried to include in this email all possible information about the apartment, including pics(see attached files).

One bedroom one bathroom apt located in Vic West( rail yards). 15 minute walk to downtown, 8 min walk across the treasle bridge to the Gorge water way, 2 min walk from Save On, Starbucks. and seconds away from Galloping Goose trail. It is only a 4year old building. It is 505 square feet south facing open concept space plus a patio. There is a washer and dryer in suite as well. New laminate in the living room with an electric fireplace. Carpet in the large bedroom and a kitchen with a fridge stove microwave and dishwasher. Fresh paint on the walls makes this third floor condo light and bright. Rent includes secure underground parking stall, bike storage area and main level secure storage space. Only utility you pay are Hydro once every 2 months.

The only option I left open to view/rent the apartment, without waiting, is a reservation of the apartment.. In this case I will cancel all appointments and come show and rent it to only one person.It is much easier for me and for the new tenant .
The reservation will imply the rental agreement signed by both parties and the deposit for holding .I will send the rental agreement from here signed, you will sign it also send it back by fax or email (scanned). Once you made this you will need to make available a deposit of $800 dollars here in Salt Lake City . The deposit is refundable .
So if you are really interested in the apt then you can reserve it, before the others get a chance to do it .If not, then maybe none of them will hold(reserve) the apt down and we can meet at the open/house .There are weak chances because it is a beauty and one of those 150 will surely reserve it.
If you are ready to proceed write down in your next email on the subject line (rental agreement) and your full
name,full current address,starting date of the rental,end date . I will reply with all instructions so we can go
further .This email should be sent in max a couple of hours. So I'm not completely sure but he may now be using a brand new alias and trying to do another scam. I am NOT for sure, but the response email i got sounds sooo sketchy. "She" claims to have moved to NC for her job in the Air Force, and needs to rent it using rent.com, therefore will never show the apartment IN PERSON. **ALSO SHE USED "REGARDS" AT THE END OF HER EMAIL JUST LIKE BEFORE!! ***

He's up to his same tricks in Chicago in the Bucktown neighborhood. He must really be doing his research with the condos and areas because the address IS actually a loft condo association. SO DISAPPOINTING because it seemed like the perfect place for me at the perfect price. As everyone else has said, it's too good to be true. I'm still waiting on his second email, but I'll post the first one in it's entirety so anyone "googling" it can catch on too! He is going by "Victor" now, but it's the same old line of traveling for work and currently setting up in the UK. UGH. Loser. I'm already flagging the post on Craigslist.

The thing is that I've got a lot of offers for the apt . I can do an open/house when I return but I think it is too much trouble .
The only option I left open to view/rent the apartment, without waiting, is a reservation of the apartment. In this case I will cancel all appointments and come show and rent it to you.It is much easier for me and for the new tenant .
The reservation will imply the rental agreement signed by both parties and the deposit for holding .I will send the rental agreement from here signed, you will sign it also send it back by fax or email (scanned). Once you made this you will need to make available a deposit of $799 dollars here in London . The deposit is refundable .
So if you are really interested in the apt then you can reserve it, before the others get a chance to contact me .If not, then maybe none of them will hold(reserve) the apt down and we can meet at the open/house .There are weak chances because it is a beauty and one of those 160 will surely reserve it so you better hurry up .
If you are ready to proceed write down in your next email on the subject line (rental agreement) and your full name,full current address,starting date of the rental,end date . I will reply with all instructions so we can go further .This email should be sent in max a couple of hours. This was from today.. sooo glad for google. I checked craigslist and they have options for reporting the fraud. That's the route I plan on taking!
