I just got a call from the number as well, I pick up and no one was on the line, so I called back and the number is not a working number! not sure what is going on very strange.

The number is from the Department of State. All caller IDs will get the same number displayed when some from the State call using their landline phone system.

This number called me twice in a row at 1:30 in the morning, waking me up from my sleep. I let it ring the first time, and picked up the second time. I said hello about three times, just to hear static on the other end of the phone. When I called the number back, it stated the call could not be completed as dialed. What is going on in this world?!

Got a call from this number and she said she was from the State Dept. looking for a some kind of personal gift for the President. Very unusual.
Cm business owner 2012-01-03 22:14:11 Telemarketer
I tracked this to "Bill at Once", a telemarketer near Washington. Maybe Credit Card processing or other annoying thing(s) I don't want. I now put these and ALL telemarketers on HOLD as soon as caller ID spots and identifies them to my business line(s).
Let them hang and pay the per-minutes charges and waste THEIR time!

The Photo Group 2011-07-15 19:01:05 Unknown
This number called me - the woman asked if this was "Orange Photography", one of the other photography companies in San Francisco listed in their membership directory. When I said no, this is The Photo Group they apologized for dialing the wrong number and hung up. Of course that piqued my curiousity so I did a look up in Google. Found you guys. Effin weird!

This number called in from Maryland State Department and was a woman i was trying to get in touch with for personal business reasons. She admitted she could not be reached at that number and when i tried, sure enough it is a generic government ID #.

I work for a Federal Government contractor and one of the federal government employees whom I work with calls me from this line. I believe they all share phone lines there. It could be any number of govt departments for any number of reasons, I wouldn't just pinpoint it to one.
Shawn 2011-04-01 19:15:07 Unknown
Anyone can change their outgoing caller ID to any number (telemarketers do it all the time). So, this could be a government agency, a telemarketer, a debt collector, etc. I received the call, called back and they said they had the wrong number. I'm assuming it's someone trying to confirm my telephone number, but they don't want me to know who it is.

karc 2011-01-10 21:19:00 Debt Collector
The number is registered to BILL ONCE and BILL @ ONCE and shows an address of 200 Constitution Avenue, NW., which is where the Dept of Labor is located; along with several other businesses. It is a Medical Billing Collector from its one line description.

I think it is extremely possible these are debt collectors. Sometimes govt workers take on additional part time jobs looking for people who owe monies. All they have to do is utilize general information to attempt To find debtors or their relatives

people, this is a default gov't number. it is not physically located anywhere. the address in dc that is associated with the number means nothing. it's probably where the exchange box for the phone company is located on the street. any federal gov't outgoing line will show this number, even if the call didn't originate in dc.

I received a call from this number in August, 2010, and it was bogus.

Got a call asking for my sister on my cell. They mispronouced her name and I have NFI how they got my cell (I'm very careful who I give it to) I was uncooperative. If this is state dept why not say so.

"It is the default number that shows up from a Federal Gov't number. It could be a janitor at the Department of Energy or Obama himself. The number shows up the same on caller ids. Probably was that employment oppertunity, if you were applying for a federal position."
This guy has it right. I received a call from the State Department and it shows up as this number despite the number I call to reach their office being completely different.

Also got the call today three times - no message - and then when you call back - the number is not a working number!
SOS 2010-04-16 15:53:07 Unknown
Caller ID says BILL ONCE
Genteleman looking for Cortay or Samira.

according to www.whitepages.com this number is near Tunlaw Road and Fulton Street NW in DC.
google-mapping it you can get a street image. There is an 8-story residential apartment building
nearby, nothing else, certainly not offices. The address is approximately 3990 Tunlaw Road NW.
The first call, the caller left a callback number (603) 422-0326 which is on Elm Ct, near
Bartlett and Islington Streets in Portsmouth, NH - fairly close to but different from the passport
office, which is on 31 Rochester Ave Portsmouth, NH. So is the guy working from home? At a
fairly exclusive Washington DC adddress? Doubly suspicious.

the person calling from this number identified himself as Stu Bradley from the National Passport
Center... that office is in New Hampshire, I suspect this is a cop, some kind of investigator. Beware.
